Actually the Ghost Windows XP isn't a skinned or themed OS, it's actually a tool (which use Norton Ghost), to recover the HDD with a preinstalled copy of Windows. Norton Ghost originally ran on DOS or Windows 98 boot disk, the latest version which discontinued is based on Win Vista PE.

Last time I checked, I remembered China's Kylin and North Korea's Red Star being clones of XP, both of which were based on Linux platforms.
But these ones in this video which were basically some versions of genuine Windows XP overloaded with unnecessary themes and bloatware by some Arab blew them out of the water.
If I wanna make a Windows clone, it should be an expanded adaptation of the Progressbar95 mobile game, making it powered with Windows programs, featuring all themes and quirks from the mobile game, and making it free and open source like Linux.

Clones, or just hacks? (the only XP clone I had heard of was ReactOS) back in 1991 or so, back when the most-used OS was DOS, I made a "Profane DOS" where all the error messages were insulting (such as "Learn to type, you idiot" instead of "Bad Command or File name")... but it wasn't a clone, it was just a hack, because all I did was edit the error messages :P
In fact, chinese people love them too. There is a fuckton of Symantec Ghost installation images. Heck, even I made one in the past, but realized setting up the system is far more difficult than backing it up to a Ghost image.
If you're curious what OS that I backed up with Symantec Ghost, it was Windows Server 2016, I think I'm a madman.
Technically these are not clones but custom distributions. The best ones go with preinstalled recent updates and are packed with drivers for most popular mobos and RAID controllers.

In fact, chinese people love them too. There is a fuckton of Symantec Ghost installation images. Heck, even I made one in the past, but realized setting up the system is far more difficult than backing it up to a Ghost image.

yep but its was actually just a clean winxp with some preloaded programs, its was made using norton ghost old version that based on DOS, while the latest consumer version was Vista PE based.
