Abbhama is a forgotten and very obscure symphony prog band that comes from afar , more specific from Indonesia, a country that has some bands that did a great job in a prog rock empire like Guruh Gypsy or Shark Move before Abbham was born. They manage to create one album in 1978 called Alam Raya (transleted in great nature or space) released on cassete format. The music is very sweet , mainly because the voice of Iwan Madjid, who has a very pleasant almost melancholy voice, but good for sure, the sound is equally naïve, mild in places , close to Yes or Genesis, but they heve their own twist , some oriental arrangements give them special status. The album is sung, of course, in Indonesian, so I don't understand a word, but enjoying the babes and smooth arrangements made me love this little record from the first piece. The best piece is Asmara, Iwan Madjid has such a perfect voice for this kind of prog music that is hard not to enjoy such a song, I love that piece perfectly, the smoothness of his voice is beyond words, it's all right, it's not something really special, but okay, a nice interplay between a musician and some really strong key passages intertwined with some oboe or flute. Abbhama must be one of the best prog rock bands ever from Indonesia, perhaps the second best after the excellent Guruh Gypsy. Unfortunately, Abbhama fell apart a year later after this release in 1979 and went into oblivion. From time to time, some reviews appear here and there, this means that they are not forgotten. 3.5 rounded to 4, a small gem that goes rather unnoticed in prog circles, no wonder because they are quite rare and difficult to find.......LADISLAV&Z... ..........
Abbhama est un groupe de prog symphonique oublié et très obscur qui vient de loin, plus spécifique de l’Indonésie, un pays qui a quelques groupes qui ont fait un excellent travail dans un empire de rock prog comme Guruh Gypsy ou Shark Move avant la naissance d’Abbham. Ils parviennent à créer un album en 1978 intitulé Alam Raya (transleted in great nature or space) sorti en format cassete. La musique est très douce, principalement parce que la voix d’Iwan Madjid, qui a une voix très agréable presque mélancolique, mais bon à coup sûr, le son est tout aussi naïf, doux par endroits, proche de Yes ou Genesis, mais ils heve leur propre torsion, certains arrangements orientaux leur donnent un statut spécial. L’album est chanté, bien sûr, en indonésien, donc je ne comprends pas un mot, mais profiter des bébés et des arrangements lisses m’a fait aimer ce petit disque de la première pièce. Le meilleur morceau est Asmara, Iwan Madjid a une voix si parfaite pour ce genre de musique prog qui est difficile de ne pas profiter d’une telle chanson, j’aime ce morceau parfaitement, la douceur de sa voix est au-delà des mots, c’est bien, ce n’est pas quelque chose de vraiment spécial, mais d’accord, une belle interaction entre un musicien et quelques passages clés vraiment forts entrelacés avec un hautbois ou une flûte. Abbhama doit être l’un des meilleurs groupes de rock progressif jamais originaire d’Indonésie, peut-être le deuxième meilleur après l’excellent Guruh Gypsy. Malheureusement, Abbhama s’est effondré un an plus tard après cette sortie en 1979 et est tombé dans l’oubli. De temps en temps, certaines critiques apparaissent ici et là, cela signifie qu’elles ne sont pas oubliées. 3.5 arrondi à 4, un petit bijou qui passe plutôt inaperçu dans les cercles prog, pas étonnant car ils sont assez rares et difficiles à trouver.......LADISLAV&Z... ..........
Abbhama je zaboravljeni i vrlo opskurni simfonijski prog bend koji dolazi izdaleka , specifičniji iz Indonezije, zemlje koja ima neke bendove koji su napravili sjajan posao u prog rock carstvu poput Guruh Gypsy ili Shark Move prije nego što se Abbham rodio. Uspijevaju stvoriti jedan album 1978. godine pod nazivom Alam Raya (transletiran u velikoj prirodi ili svemiru) objavljen na cassete formatu. Glazba je vrlo slatka , uglavnom zato što glas Iwana Madjida, koji ima vrlo ugodan gotovo melankolični glas, ali dobar sigurno, zvuk je jednako naivan, blag na mjestima , blizu Da ili Genesis, ali oni heve vlastiti twist , neki orijentalni aranžmani daju im poseban status. Album se pjeva, naravno, na indonezijskom jeziku pa ne razumijem ni riječ, ali uživajući komadi i glatki aranžmani natjerali su me da zavolim ovu malu ploču iz prvog komada. Najbolji komad je Asmara, Iwan Madjid ima tako savršen glas za ovu vrstu prog glazbe koja je teško ne uživati u takvoj pjesmi, izvrsno jednostavno volim taj komad, glatkoća njegovog glasa je izvan riječi, ostalo je u redu, nije nešto stvarno posebno, ali ok, lijepa međuigra između glazbenika i nekih doista jakih ključnih odlomaka isprepletenih s nekom oboom ili flautom. Abbhama je sigurno jedan od najboljih prog rock bendova ikad iz Indonezije, možda drugi najbolji nakon odličnog Guruh Gypsyja. Nažalost, Abbhama se raspala godinu dana kasnije nakon ovog izdanja 1979. godine i otišla u zaborav. S vremena na vrijeme tu i tamo se pojave neke recenzije, to znači da nisu zaboravljene. 3.5 zaokružen na 4, mali dragulj koji prolazi prilično nezapaženo u prog krugovima, nije ni čudo jer su prilično rijetki i teško ih je pronaći…….LADISLAV&Z...……….
