I read recently on the AF1 racing (Aprilia forum) that the same thing happens with LeoVince exhaust on the Aprilia Shiver/Dorsoduro. The power output and torque curve is actually better with the silencer IN. So..
I'd be surprised if you got more power then stock, as
with most scoots I've seen and ridden that had an aftermarket exhaust, they were usually slower then with the stock exhaust. Gotta find where the power peaks, get a sports variator/cvt and probably loose a few days adjusting it to get your top speed back.. and maybe gain something on acceleration. Waste of time, IMHO.
Actually there is a half truth here, being that it was all open and not tuned for HP, yes, the HP was about the same if not worse then stock, however, with the insert back in I had MAJOR increase in performance, hence all the tom foolery with the police this past weekend. :)
It is a waste of time, Remember my 150cc junker, ... well.... :)
Indeed brother, I can have fun anywhere. I like to experience new events and different people, it reminds me of just how we are all the same meat Popsicle trying to get by in life.

0 likesCVT stands for Continuously Variable Transmission, not "constant velocity transmission." When people say stupid things they ruin their credibility.
0 likesThanks for posting this dyno run. I am primarily amazed at the low rpm your power peaked at, as I've only ever seen 7,000 rpm for the peak.
I'd love to know what rpm your horsepower peaked at when you put the restriction sleeve back in and gained the 4-5 hp...?

Thanks! I never tested with the restricter back in. I wish I did though.

0 likesWhat exactly is a restriction sleeve? I own a Gilera Nexus 500 can I take mine out if it has one?
