I have had so many questions about this song. -Did you guys really have a Fairlight and used it for recording today? Ok, my answer to this, this song is recorded back in the Fairlight haydays, so yes it's old (so am I) and Me and my friends had access to a super modern top studio that had a lot of cool equipment. I was a audio guy back then and worked with the equipment in the studio a lot. So me and my friends was allowed to use what ever we wanted, when the studio was not used for anything that made real money. I remember that the Fairlight "a CMI II or III don't remember" was slooow and hard to work with compared to todays PCs and DAWs. But with a lot of effects it was the sound of the future. If you just hooked it up and played some notes it sounded like a toy.
One dislike, Outch! Well at least we had a lot of fun recording this, so De Boer will return to the studio for a fresh new song soon, so stay tuned, and why not subscribe to the channel? Yeees that hard thumpy bass IS a real old hardware Yamaha DX7, perfect for this -80s style fusion lookback.
