Just adding on… And the air is cold but not too cold. Your lost but not scared. Time seems to stop as you laugh and scarf down half your candy. Not a thought of school or going home. Just you and your friends happy to be happy.
And it’s dark, I always purposely got lost in the “rich” neighborhoods with friends so we could get more candy before my mom made us leave. Then she’d see someone she knew and talk for hours while we disappear again...good times.
@Yerp it's calm yet lively, and although you aren't tired, as time passes you can feel your cognitive function slipping away- perhaps it's because of the POUNDS of sugar coursing through your arteries...
Don't look in the dark room Don't look in the dark room Don't look in the dark room Don't look in the dark room DONT LOOK IN THE DARK ROOM DONT LOOK IN THE DARK ROOM DONT LOOK IN THE DARK ROOM DONT LOOK IN THE DARK ROOM ĐØŇȚ ĎŒ ÏŤ
Same, At Halloween nobody did anything at our city. Everybody was just stuck at their own homes waiting till the day passes. Pretty sad stuff honestly.
Yup. Living in the wide spacious desert “city” north of L.A., there was hardly ever any trick or treating going on. When my house gets 10 groups coming to the door, that’s “ busy.”
For me it was my mother never trusts anyone on Halloween, were not allowed outside the house on Halloween, although she does buy candy for us to share amongst ourselves, but if anyone knocks on they don't get anything
I'm Australian, and since Halloween isn't as big here as it is for you, this is every single Halloween. It was a bit sad growing up but gee do I love it now.
you only said that to be brag about being an australian you liberal lɐɹǝqᴉl noʎ uɐᴉlɐɹʇsnɐ uɐ ƃuᴉǝq ʇnoqɐ ƃɐɹq ǝq oʇ ʇɐɥʇ pᴉɐs ʎluo noʎ 'ʎɐs ᴉ plnoɥs ɹo
My neighborhood never actually recovered from the lockdown. The streets to this day are still dead on halloween. They used to be packed pre lockdown. Its like some freaky post apocalypse shit since I can distinctly remember how packed it used to be.
The town I live in is fucking hyper-Christian, so yeah. Even in the more dense areas, they stop giving out candy at around 7 because Halloween is the “Devil’s holiday”.
@JamaicanMario Sure, it's a pagan holiday... But so are A LOT of traditions and symbols in Christianity. Christians tend to not realise just how much pagan traditions and symbolism was adapted into Christianity.
Largely to convince the many pagan cultures of Europe to convert to Christianity during the rise of Christianity.

Really? My family is very religious (Roman Catholic) and we still hand out candy sometimes past midnight. We also keep the big candy bars for the younger kids. But when it gets late we usually have some left over so the later people come the better their loot lol.
@Oliver Greenwood Maybe where you live that may be true, but I live in the middle of South Mississippi, so the people here aren’t exactly the smartest.
I never got to trick or treat in my life because my mom says the same thing, the only times i could was when one of my friends invited me and one time where she let me and my sister go trick or treating
+Close- that's where the actual candy part comes from, peasants would go door to door and get honey and nuts and crap like that. Although to be entirely honest, I don't think the holiday now is either holy or satanic, it's really just candy companies making a huge profit.
@one hundred opossums in a trench coat Catholics have a lot of different beliefs, one of the main ones being that they believe in worshiping Mary, Jesus’ mother. They also believe you must confess your sins to a priest.
Not everybody in my town is Christian. Yet even my family isn't THAT Christian. (It's been 3-4 years since church and we don't pray together like we used to since 2016) Yet we still don't celebrate Halloween.
@Cameron Joiner that’s a misconception lol bout the Mary bit, it’s just Protestants consider any intercession from saints and angels as worship. But Catholics do have Hallows Eve, meant for the saints. People now take it as more a nation holiday. But traditionally people should be attending mass 😅
@Gisèle Ngimbi lol my family too. We never believed in god but still went to church. After our church let people post trump signs in their yard we stopped going
@one hundred opossums in a trench coat Its actually not that funny or iconic that El Dia De Los Muertos happens almost exactly at the same time. When the extremely Roman Catholic Spanish colonized Mexico, the native holiday was modified and changed dates.
Me too, I wish I could celebrate Halloween. I do not think it's about the devil, it's about using a costume and ask for candy. Because something is scary it doesn't mean it's about the devil
Yeah, some Christian’s don’t like to celebrate Halloween because of its demonic origin, but other Christian’s (myself included) don’t care for the demon stuff, they’re just in it for the candy lol
Italy (my country)is a perfect example. No decorations, nothing, just parents buying cheap-ass sugary candies and we eat them, and that's it, 3 days off school tho. ,
I've never lived in a neighborhood where they give candy so we always go to a popular neighborhood. I don't plan on doing this in a Halloween night ever though. I may not be able to go trick or treating in two or so years but there's always something else to do on that day. watching a scary movie, playing a scary game, dressing up in super cool make up, etc. Holidays are always a good time and I never find myself wasting it.
I’ve been trick-or-treating for years. I went last year when I was 32 and I plan on going again this year and I’m 33 since Halloween parties are all right I guess but I don’t get into drinking and smoking. I would rather be cute and dress up in an animal onesie for an easy costume, and get candy and I just do this by myself or with friends because I don’t have any kids.
I never had fun on Halloween as a kid. My mum would never let me go with any of my friends so instead I had to either go with her or stay with my grandma. (I always stayed with grandma)
For me my parents would always take us to the neighbors hoods that celebrated Halloween more and after we went trick or treating we would always go to brothers pizza good times
If I can’t find someone to dress as Butthead for my Beavis, then I’m just gonna read some Lovecraft on Halloween and get sad seeing everyone else at Halloween parties
I remember when it started to get dark and the lights turning off (everyone was starting to hit the hay) there were always a couple red or orange lights faintly in the distance, the sky and are was having a blueish fog due to smoke machines set up around the neighborhood. If you took a walk around it would have felt like the zombie apocalypse actually happened. At one point in the night there were maybe a few people hitting up the last houses but you couldn't see them. Too foggy.
I remember that 2020 was just like this. I sat at home and did nothing but watch some horror movies and horror related specials. Before that, I’d always watch some tv after I came home from trick or treating. I do miss those times, maybe one day I shall go trick or treating again
@ILoveQazaqstan Was there very few people going around, or was it only just you? I recalled that I didn’t really see anyone walking by my house on last year’s Halloween
I'm too old to trick or treat nowadays, so now I just use my costume to disguise as a decoration to jumpscare people and hand out candy. Doesn't always work, but it's better than staring at a screen as usual for those 2 hours.
Plays Scream Fortress Update, annoyed again by a Level 5 Murasmus showing up, so I play other halloween events on my phone, finally getting a Pumpkin Scythe on one, watching horror let's plays and livestreams
In my neighborhood, it starts earlier for some weird reason, trick or treaters appear at 5:00pm then it ends at 8:00pm, no one really trick or treats at 9:00pm to 12:00am
The majority of my neighbors are old people and there aren’t that many houses since it’s a smaller neighborhood, and because everyone’s houses are so big they are spaced farther apart which makes it a pain in the ass to go trick or treating
That image at the beginning is imo the most nostalgic image I’ve ever seen. Everything from the houses, street light, weather, and trees is just 10/10.
@usiNex we didn't sneak inside, we lived there. But we did ring every single door. No Mercy. If they didn't open we woul try like 300 times and then leave.
My old neighborhood was always packed with people on Halloween. One time my mom, my sister and I were walking up the road to check out all the decked out houses, and it was crowded as hell. We were at one end of the street and our house was maybe a little more than a half mile away. My dad and other sister were driving down the road to our house but we still beat them there, plus making stops at nearly every house. It was packed
I never did a trick or treat but the neighbors' kids do it relentlessly. I'm just so happy that whenever they do knock on the door, i'm either watching a movie or listening to some music.
I'm glad I actually live in a fun neighborhood during Halloween lol. A whole bunch of trick-or-treaters come over every year and all the houses are decorated. It's pretty fun
I remember that exact Halloween, I was finally going to experience trick or treating for the first time, and I got hit by one of the worst migraines I've ever had, and nearly passed out, so I had to be taken home, throwing up all the way.
I live in Brazil and this is extremely relatable, it's really rare to see people trick or treating out there. The only Halloween party I get is at my school (it's actually not that fun tbh, we just watch the little kids dancing while the teachers blast boring songs.) Since I was a kid my dream was to go to a place that actually celebrates Halloween lmao
These videos remind me of a time when I enjoyed life; when life was simple, and I took every aspect of life for granted. Everyone seemed so happy back then. I wish I could go back to the days of when I was a child.
its all fun and games until the person that you loathe the most from your school shows up at your door step begging for candy and all you can do is throw a snickers bar at them
I never went trick or treating with friends until my Junior year (last year). We had a blast! Went to an abandoned house, watched scary movies while eating candy. It was a blast! Much better than trick or treating with my mom and my brother in a small town close by
i have a fun neighborhood now but before we moved this is what most of my halloween’s looked like. sometimes my parents would buy us some donuts or candy but this is very accurate
2014 was my last time trick or treating. I was to big for it (both mentally and physically) and 12 year old tend to wanna grow out of it but looking back, I miss being able to see how much candy I can get without worrying.
Just the whole vibe of a chilly night and being decked out in halloween costumes is smth I really want to experience, but I prob won’t because of how most of us don’t rly celebrate it here unless you live in landed private property (basically the rich expat families) bc majority of us live in apartment flats/condominiums where you don’t get the whole “walking down the neighbourhood” vibe
I just remember watching SpongeBob in 2008 on mute, then playing funny or inappropriate music on my iPod and laughing hysterically when the visuals of a scene matched well with the sound.
Damn... For my entirety of my life, we had to drive an entire hour just to buy candy at a store and eat it ourselves, I've given up on costumes at the time. Thank God I'm finally able to go somewhere this Halloween, and a kids daycare for all the places, imma feel the past I never got to feel when I was young 😩
My parents used to think holoween was evil. We never got candy, never opened the door for any kid, and never bought any costumes.
It's not like that now, but we live in a neighborhood where a meth lab was discovered, 3 pedophiles were arrested, and at least 2 shootings a year. So nobody does trick or treat here, families drive to the rich part of town to get their candy.
This gives off the same vibes as when you get home after trick or treating, but it's too late so you can't eat your candy yet and have to wait until tomorrow.
I’ve never had many friends, though I have more now, my street was never bustling with kids or anything. My family has never been well off, so it makes it harder to live somewhere like that. Not to mention my parents don’t like people over very much so this is usually my reality (but I usually play splatoon 2 with my friends during Halloween)
I lived in a fun neighborhood, but I still understand this because my mother was devout Christian and refused to allow us to celebrate Halloween as she believed it was inherently demonic.
This was a good half of my childhood. Then we moved to a crappy neighborhood just before I entered middle school, and we almost never had anyone outside during Halloween.
This is the first one of these I understood. Although that's only because Serbia doesn't celebrate Halloween, even though everyone agrees that we should.
I can relate to this. I have a really really small neighborhood and not very many people are in it. It’s kind of sketchy to be honest. I can relate to just hanging out Halloween night.
My mom would always drive us to the rich people neighbourhoods in hopes of getting big chocolate bars. It worked a lot of the time lol. When I was really little we lived on an acreage, so we only have like ten neighbours, so we would get pop cans, big chocolate bars, full bags of chips, and lots of candy from each house.
I just remember the excitement of sometimes when I was younger when I'd go to the rich side of town and get myself full size chocolate bars 🍫 and cans of pop. But yeah, I have and do still have Halloweens like this one. Just chilling at home.
God this makes me so sad cause in the neighborhood my family used to live in took Halloween so seriously and it was friggin awesome. Halloween was one of the most hype holidays in that neighborhood. But the neighborhood we live in now is always so... empty during Halloween it’s kinda sad. It’s gotten better now but I remember the first Halloween we had here only like two kids came I think. It was weird
Even if my neighborhood is usually bustling during Halloween.. When the pandemic hit, my neighborhood was all quiet. This was due to the new curfew and the fact we needed to stay at home during the time. This was one of the rare times it was ever this silent on Halloween. So, I do relate to this.
my mom never let me celebrate halloween. i lived in a sort of remote area so houses werent really close together. Houses nearby mostly consisted of old retired people. On top of that i never made any friends so I couldnt go to their neighborhoods to trick or treat. So halloween afternoon would always just be a normal. the days however were usually something or other where the school would host some kind of event where kids would come to school in costumes.
One time I went trick or treating with my older cousin and he brought a friend with him, 3 of us went to a haunted house and in the backyard his friend was tackled to the ground by a guy in a koolaid man costume lmao
Halloween was only fun once. It was when I went my with my sister and cousin. All my friends from school lived to far away and I couldn’t go with them. I miss the old Halloween days back in 2008 when I was 8yrs old. The nostalgia I get from seeing Halloween decorations in Walmart.
I wish I could experience the feeling of walking down a row of houses in the neighbourhood at 2am after trick or treating with my friends, laughing at each other whenever we get the smallest scare from something random we see.
We didn't celebrate Halloween like this. It's not a scary season at all
Either way, every Halloween me and my friends would hang out after classes (we were pretty young so mostly just played together) after that, go home and just do assignments. I miss the feeling of "real tiredness"
To be honest, I always rather stay home during halloween. Partly because in my area we don't get all that many trick or treaters and partly because I prefer to just chill and watch movies all night with a Jack o lantern and the lights out.
In Australia we don't overly celebrate Halloween, some suburbs do more with decorations than others but most houses always have candy even if they don't decorate for it
I've never napped during the day at all but I kind of felt this? When I got home on days like that, I'd sit down with a hot drink and put on my fave show for a little while
Pretty much how my Halloween is gonna go this year. I'm too old to trick-or-treat and my little cousin will be away, so I have nothing left to do but this.
I guess I had a fun neighborhood during Halloween. I remember getting all sorts of candy. I remember getting quarters at one house. I remember actually listening to the signs that told me how much candy to take. I remember an old guy asking me if I was a little old for trick-or-treating. I had some good times.
honestly, every halloween is like this for me, cause i live in Brazil, and we don't do trick or treating here, which is pretty sad for me since halloween is one of my favourite time of the year
I can understand this but I always had a fun neighborhood during Halloween. Now, you might be asking... "Keaton, How can you understand this when you always had a fun neighborhood?". Well, you see, my older brother rarely gone outside on Halloween... Whenever he did, he wasn't outside for the candy, he was just there just to watch us have fun.
My neighborhood was fun, nobody like me is all, couldn't afford entertainment so I just stared at a wall in a dark room so the electricity bill wasn't too high.
My street is known as the halloween street where for Halloween the whole school and everybody close comes over and it’s big event with decorations; music and food. Then my close friends sleepover as we tell horror stories and eat sweets. I love it and i’m so grateful for it
Ive never really celebrated Halloween. I only did cause of the sweets. I'd much rather play Minecraft or something till midnight instead of walking around in a costume
I somewhat understand this because of 2020, but most of my Halloween's have consisted of picking costumes, getting decorations, etc. Heck, I'm gonna go this year as an Eevee! (Pretty generic, wouldn't you say?)
In my younger years of elementary school I always had to leave my neighborhood for Halloween but right before ending the night I would always hit up my neighborhood just incase. And every single year there were a few houses that barely had any truck or treaters stop by so they would pretty much give us as much candy as we wanted. Sometimes the entire bowl. So my candy would triple in just a few minutes I spent in my dead neighborhood compared to the hours I spent trick or treating in busy neighborhoods. Then we’d gather at one of our houses and trade candies. I only went trick or treating around a total of 3 times so this definitely made up for it
In my neighborhood there are some houses that are called “House Halloweens” or “Halloween Houses”, where they are extravagantly decorated foundation to roof and always give our buttloads of candy.
Considering how much I love Halloween, I’m gonna join them once I get my own house
When I was a kid. the neighborhood i grew up in is pretty decent when it comes to Halloween, I mean you have people walking to houses and some houses were pretty decorated and nice but nowadays I sit on my fatass watching horror related content like movies or like a horror let’s play and eat those variety bags you would get at stores because I’m 18.
Every Halloween we also have to drive like 10-15 minutes to get to a neighborhood with good trick or treating or go to a Halloween event where they do it
I actually did stay inside on Halloween to watch SpongeBob. Mostly because I didn't have a costume that year. Then again it was specifically for the Halloween episode, but still counts
Sheeeeeit I didn't even explore my neighborhood. Everyone was out and about while I was being yelled at for not studying my multiplication tables. Hell the only thing I remember was when a apartment building across from us caught on fire, It was a big fire to! Whole place was in the ground afterwards and then was repaired. Not a fun memory since I was just standing there staring at the fire. I made sure to never get into a situation like that. Especially since I work on electronics. I was probably around 10 or 11 at the time. We still pass by the place from time to time. There under new management now. The whole place got a new coat of paint.
damn that's sad, i'm sorry for you. i never celebrated halloween because my parents say it's from the devil, and where i live we almost don't celebrate halloween, there are just some annoying commercials and halloween episodes from cartoons that are repeated every year
@vitorofc Dang sorry about the christianity thing. Me and my fiance are christians, and so are our parents but we really don't like being super strict with holidays. It just doesnt make any sense. In fact it's that kind of mentallity that drives kids away from religion to begin with. We still celebrate it nkw and hand out candy.
my neighborhood wasn't great for trick-or-treating but my friend's neighborhood was great, there was even that one house that gave out full-size hersheys bars and skittles packets
Can't relate I trick or treated until I was 16, then gone every year with my family to just walk with them. I'm 22 now and still tag along to watch my youngest sister trick or treat. She's 13 so she's nearing the end of it, but I do enjoy watching them have fun and reminiscing my trick or treating days.
I'd always go to my aunt's house in costume and help greet trick-or-treaters. ...But my night mostly consisted of watching TV and eating pizza and snacks, lol. xD
I remember my first trick or treat halloween i was in 1st grade and I thought only one person gave you all the candy so when the first person gave me a sour twizzlers i yelled : "IS THAT IT????"
Didn’t go trick or treating after I was 9, hated it. Hated it after I was 7, just wasn’t fun anymore. It was kinda fun when we gave kids candy, though we only had about 4-5 trick or treaters a night on average. This reminds me so much of those Halloweens.
in 2014 halloween was really awesome for me in my neighborhood, now its like the video you showed. dont even bother waiting for trick or treators to come to MY door step. Sometimes we look out the window and see a rare bunch of kids looking at our door and waiting for candy so we give them some.
Honestly true. I don’t understand how movies portray streets filled with trick-or-treaters. The only time i got a ring at my door on Halloween was 2 kids in Luchador masks.
Just another comment, the last time I dressed up on Halloween was probably in 2019, where I dressed up as Michael Myers. Good times they were. If I can go around dressed up as a horror movie killer the next time I get the chance to go trick or treating, I’ll dress up as Jason Voorhees, since he’s my favorite horror movie killer
I remember sitting down and watching the same episode of scooby doo that would play on Cartoon Network every year, waiting for my dad to get home from work so he could take us trick or treating
Growing up in the hood I remember the one time I dressed up as Spider-Man in my own house and my mom let me run around a little. I can't tell of I'm very sad or very happy about that
i do understand this. i live on a street with just houses, and no one trick or treats around here. i do just watch stuff while other neighborhoods are having the time of their lives. I kinda like it.
It’s weird, I both do and don’t understand this. My neighborhood always trick or treats yet you never really see anyone on the streets until like 11:00 pm and even then there’s not that many people
Man our country doesn't really celebrate halloween but our highschool actually had a halloween party back in 2019 and making a shitty ass costume was actually really fun. This month would've been our third one of it weren't for you know, the pandemic.
We used to get trick or treaters every year. Then some drug dealers moved in down the street. Once the swat team came and they were arrested, we saw even less.
The general safety of the neighborhood went down and down. Now I've not seen a kid at my door for 10 years. It's really sad.
I'll turn 18 this year and I wanna have the last halloween even tho I didn't have one properly, so I'll leave this comment here whenever I watch this video to remind myself.
Every halloween, my neighbor just full on sets up his house for halloween, and adds a fucking dragon along with a huge pirate ship to his house. He also adds a movie to play on his garage, so once i finish trick or treating, I eat my candy and watch the movies he plays
well I didn't grow up in a neighborhood I had a small house in the middle of nowhere off a major highway, but we always went into town to this one specific neighborhood and just had the time of our lives
My neighborhood was never really big on occasions like halloween, but my gramma still buys chocolates and candies just incase. At the end of the day we'll be the one eating it.
we don’t have a fun neighborhood but we always drove to the rich neighborhoods to trick or treat, every year almost every house would go all out on decorations on their house.
Yoah I love the nostalgia edits! Welcome to the liminal family! I do vhs edits and I’m becoming bigger! You were inspiring and one of the reasons I did this! I was inspired by many including you! Thank you
The neighborhoods I grew up in weren’t very safe so my mom would round us up and drive to the fun neighborhoods to get some candy and have a little fun
I swear I’m so unlucky to have a neighborhood of only middle aged people, cause when my mom was my age, the streets were FULL of people asking for Trick or Treat, even some of my cousins have an active neighborhood too
I did get to go Trick or Treating for about 5 years, and then the pandemic happened and nobody wanted to go outside for that reason, even after this whole thing has died out I can no longer hear anybody asking for candy and it’s quite sad
I remember doing this on Halloween in 2014 except watching The Simpsons Treehouse of Horror marathon when the show was introduced on FXX since I was finally old enough to watch the show
I remember this halloween because i dressed up as Cleveland Brown and every house i went to just thought i wasn't in costume so this was the last year i went trick or treating.
I'm christian and my suburb is about 50% christian. Usually we only get like 1 trick-or-treater every year. Back in the old house we had to deal with hoardes of them but it was never after dark. I never remember living in a neighborhood that was crazy about Halloween.
It's always good days like this while super late at night they're rerunning old SpongeBob episodes and the cool Summer breeze comes through the open windows along with the crickets the dogs are sleeping and the cats are sleeping in your arms
I didn't have smartphones when I was a kid. And if we did, it would be madness to let a kid have one. Also my neighborhood was boring. So yeah my Halloween was typically spent watching Halloween specials/marathons at home.
Weird.. there's always alot of knocking around my house on Halloween night. I don't have any neighbors though I live in a secluded area with Just a small cemetery nearby.
Walking 45 minutes in rainy Canadian weather on halloween, on route to the Rich McMansion neighborhoods, where all the good candy is, then getting lost with your friends 😍😍😍>>>
It’s really ironic how in that same year of Halloween I dressed up as spongebob and watched Nickelodeon shows till 12 AM soon as I went back home after trick or treating
My neighbor hood was kinda fun but sometimes people that would go in cars wouldn’t stop when they’d see someone walking across the street so we always had to be super careful
Yeah, my neighborhood is exactly like that, but with rare chance of a few. Wonder if anybody still grown would cosplay at said Halloween, I could if I would but am uncertain most of the time.
It's sad how I'll probably never exprience halloween again-- Maybe, I'm not completely sure, but My parents had to switch houses, so new house , new neighborhood. I was so upset when I was just said that I shouldn't go trick-or-treating since nobody used to . Last halloween was so fun, i really hope it happens again.
I remember every Halloween I played borderlands 1 the moxxie dome and for some reason I made it kinda traditional to play borderlands on Halloween, 21 and I can say I’m very excited to play that game once again
i know im late but i just love when im with like a few friends going around town being lost but at the same time know exactly where my house is not even trick or treating
it's not safe to do this in some cities in the us, so i never even went out with friends as a kid. and on top of that my mom wouldn't let me explore wearing costumes because apparently "Halloween celebrates the devil" :/
Yup, sad to say I understand this, never in my life been on Halloween cuz parents religion I just been inside playing my games or watching tv shows while all my friends are getting their candy's and everything.
Me and my friends always go to the other side of the neighborhood because that is where the real parties hold. Giant candy bars, the police are there to watch, and parents are slowly dying inside.
We used to go out at night in the streets throwing firecrackers and run around playing hide n seek w/ the neighbourhood kids. Halloween was a fun time as a kid back in the 2010s but now the fun is gone 🥲😂
Last time I went trick or treating, I was dressed up as a box. Got invited to go with a friend but I didn’t have a costume, so we took some cardboard and created a box costume.
I didn't even have to relate to this because of the pandemic, I'm in the Philippines and halloween isn't that recognized here so I can completely understand
I only have my mom to trick or treat with rn. Hopefully me and my best friend can make plans for halloween so I can actually have fun trick or treating.
One year during Halloween my dad started up Luigi's mansion and had me go to an area that plays the scary music, he hooked a speaker up to the outside of our house and people would hear it as they trick or treated
Did anyone ever float when they slept as a child? I remember for solid months I'd float over my body and go through the ceiling, see the attic and eventually float above the city. I remember vividly seeing my body on my bed and details of the roof of my old house.
One time a bunch of random people outright banged the shit out of my door scaring the shit out of me and I look out the window and see about 4-5 dark figures running out of my front yard with my thoughts being "wow, really?"
Kinda same, I only spent 10 minutes trick or treating, hopefully it is better at my new neighborhood
Edit: It was the same. I had to ride the car to go to a place to had candy, but half of the houses did not. Our neighbor got candy for the kids but we were the only people it get it, I feel bad for him.
I've never had the feeling of dressing up and knocking at doors for free lollies. My neighbourhood doesn't really do trick or treating, probs cus most of the residents are asian
it's unthinkable that some people don't celebrate halloween. i always had so much fun trick or treating as a kid, and now I will dress up to give out candy as an adult. trunk or treat and its consequences have been a disaster for the human race
lol i cant celebrate halloween so this was it every year, im 18 now and im going to celebrating for the very first time in my entire life!! i cant wait :]
In the country I live in, there is not really a Halloween, all we have are themed night club parties and some people putting Jack-o'-lanterns on their windows.
I never got to do anything in Halloween. But stay in and eat up candy, watch old school nickelodeon and cartoonnetwork, and scary movies. ....... Now that I say it out loud. I had Some good Halloween's. Only Some.
Ive never experienced this bc in portugal 90 percent of people live in buildings so yea theres never really the trick or treat ( i think its how i say it) thing except when you and your friends go to a Halloween party then the night would be fun as hell :)
i lived in the middle of nowhere (like, nearest house was a 15 minute walk away) so my mom just drove us a half hour away to nearby towns on halloween night
halloween is my birthday so I can't relate for a different reason since everyone's like "oh lets go out, its your birthday!" as opposed to "lets go out and trick or treat!"
I remember one Halloween my parents wouldn't let me go trick or treating for a b and c reasons, and the house literally two houses across the street had a huge party with like half the neighborhood. I have never been so jealous of someone in my life.
It’s kind of the same (same date, same time, similar location and no fun neighborhood), except I was watching Monster High: Ghouls Rule DVD on TV in the living room while playing around with my Halloween costume by myself.
My neighborhood isn’t great for Halloween (it’s okay but most of the houses don’t decorate) so we just/walk drive to a better neighborhood and get candy there.
Wish I could relate, since in our country we dont really celebrate Halloween like in the west. Its just candy sales and commercials, My parents just buy candy for us so we could experience Halloweens in the west.
The last time I went trick or treating was Halloween 2019 when I was 15, I dressed up as Chase from PAW Patrol 😂 I went with a few other kids from my school, and there was only one other group that was out, and they were also high schoolers. I got like four full size candies that day, and I was so happy. Couldn't go last year because of the pandemic, and this year things are just crazy in the world, and I'm 17 now so too old :( I miss trick or treating...
You're never too old for Trick Or Treating, especially if you go with family or friends. I'm 17 and plan on dressing up with my family in StarWars theme! I'm going to be a Jedi! :0
On my country, nobody celebrates halloween, they think its a devil thing or something, but the stores gives free candy to kids,According to my uncles they say that in other neighborhoods they celebrate it,but i don't think nobody does it anymore,on other halloween,I gave the kids candy, their bags or baskets were empty or just had small candys, see them smile maked my night happy
In Brazil people don’t really celebrate Halloween doing trick or treat sadly, and in my family we don’t celebrate it at all so me and my brothers just play games and eat candy
Well, we don't have Halloween in my country, we have something similar. But generally, my neighborhood is a quiet one, save for some motorcycle dudes and some loud music from a neighbor
I understand this, while my other brothers left me in the house and cant find them, and my friends wasnt outside during halloween either, so i had to stay home and play stuff :(
Well I used to live in nyc so it was a fun neighborhood, but now I’m in deep country in Louisiana so I have to buy candy from Walmart and each house is like 2 miles apart from each other
In Pakistan, Halloween is not a well-known holiday. Here are the holidays we observe instead: - New Year's Eve/Day - Kashmir Day - Pakistan Day - Labour Day on 1 May - Independence Day - Muhammad Ali Jinnah's birthday. It's coincidentally on Christmas. - The Two Eids (Eid ul Fitr and Eid ul Azha) The Eids are the most important holidays after Independence Day.
I live on a dirt road with ditches instead of sidewalks, we’ve never had a trick-or-treater make the hike out here. Granted, we live on a defunct overgrown farm surrounded by cornfields, so there’s always the option of just running into the woods and becoming a cryptid...
City kids when their parents don’t feel like taking them downtown to trick or treat so they have to trick or treat in their building and then call it a night 😔
i didnt have a phone but i always sat on my couch watching sponge bob in the afternoon when the sun made the room look orange. those days were back in 2014!
There's this one guy in my neighborhood that hands out hotdogs to anyone that passes by his house during Trick-or-treat. He even did it in 2020, which was risky, but we (my neighborhood) all appreciated it.
I've always went trick-or-treating, but this year I won't be able to participate. The decorations are the best to look at. Someone got a giant blow up thingy that had to be deflated a bit bc it was almost as tall as the house.
It's really rare to see trick or treaters in my neighbourhood last Halloween we only got one group of trick or treaters that came to my house and we didn't have candy for them
Sadly can't relate. Never have I done trick or treating but I did get to wear halloween costumes, dressed up as Dr. Plague once in school. Trick or treating is also done in malls not neighbourhoods where I live
I never enjoyed Halloween nor celebrated it I was too worried about going to hell when I was a child. Christian school took my childhood joy and shredded in pieces and the bullies helped too.
Uh huh back then I didn't play with cell phone technology I went shoppin for candy and went to 7 eleven with my friends and hang. Listen to some good music, would turn on headbangers ball every Friday night on mtv2, and smoke trees, ahhhh the good life
Wish i could say the same but at 7:04 pm October 31st 2014 i was tripping out on the stairs at a girl's place i had a crush on, laught my ass off at a rocking chair horse. I was second handed by my buddies brother and life became giggly.
This happened last Halloween there was like 25 out of 72 houses that gave out candy and they all gave me and my friends like 4 or 5 pieces cause of that
You had a phone in 2014? Man I remember in my small town Halloween I would stay at a friends house playing video games on his ps3 and waiting for my mom or dad to pick me up
Yea last Halloween i just stayed home and watched the football games that were playing with my family i might've gone trick or treating but it was during the pandemic so i didn't

Every halloween i have to go to a different neighborhood, oh no i moved to a new neighborhood for the first time in 9 years and the other kids are really mean and crazy, me and my friend were scared in my house as these kids tried to break in knowing we were inside. I hope during Halloween i dont have to deal with those bullies.
i had a rlly fun neighborhood even tho it was very bad and dangerous but since covid/the second half of gen z, everyone is inside, also there was a gang shooting here back in 2018 so a lot of people moved out
I never got a chance to go trick or treating or anything ever, now I'm too old for it lol. And it's not like I can go out and do stuff with my family 💀💀for one, covid... and two, they're the typical Conservative Christians™ so. yeah. My halloweens are pretty boring sadly lmao.
I remember playing minecraft 2012 before trick or treating I was playing it and spawning so many zombies because i thought the ones with the jackolanteerns on their head was cool
Lmao I only ever trick or treated once in my life and it wasn't even in my neighborhood... U don't even see any decorations :(( but atleast we have this family reunion costume contest thing where they throw candies at your head! It honestly gets repetitive and boring cus u mostly just sit there eat then u winner announcements then get candy thrown on you head.
wow really, i live in brazil and halloween is not very famous in my country (and my relatives are still christians so i guess you guys already understand the stuff). so this "trick or treat" thing is only on tv shows :/
I don’t really have a neighbor hood it’s just the middle of nowhere with a couple houses here and there but I don’t think anyone goes trick or treating because it’s really only a dirt road and all houses have gates
Bruh on 2020 or 2019 halloween, just to start here is Brazil so nothing to cool on halloween, and then one day me and my mom turn off every light and got in silence because we dont like giving our candy to kids and we dont like anyone in my neighborhood, and is obviously normal houses not as yall portray like some fucked houses, normal and then some kids come up on the door like screaming for getting one candy but we just started laughing because the kids got on a vacuum
Don't know about you, but 14 year old me was still able to go trick or treating last year despite the pandemic and I'll do it again this year now that I'm 15.
Or good parents, I lived in BFE and they coordinated with our friends parents to get us into town and trick or treating with all the other kids
Then they would take us to my cousins and we would do the same thing there because they had their night after ours every year your parents failed you on this one
@ok I always found it weird how they didn’t celebrate it because it’s technically a Christian holiday, another thing is some people consider Catholicism a different religion from Christians.
here in brazil, in october our have samba futebol favela feijoada funk tiros baile funk assalto roubo bolsonaro neymar ronaldinho ayrton senna bossa nova axé forró barões da pisadinha sertanejo açaí são paulo rio de janeiro manaus amazonia
I find this painful to watch, i’m italian, and here Halloween is seen as an “anti-religious” thing idk, Italy is a very boring country, 99.9% of the population is old, i will never feel this type of fun
I remember last Halloween just sitting and talking to neighbors untill like 1 am while being dressed as a refrigerator. Good times 😌

25 likesI know they are hyper-Christian but, didn’t Catholics invent Hallow’s Eve before it got turned into Halloween by the Americans...
71 likes@Fallograme Technically it's a Pagan holiday invented in Ireland.
96 likesThey would carve put turnips to ward away spirits or something like that.
Bruh thats cap christians dont do that
23 likesI'm Christian and we celebrate Halloween every year.
39 likes@JamaicanMario Sure, it's a pagan holiday... But so are A LOT of traditions and symbols in Christianity. Christians tend to not realise just how much pagan traditions and symbolism was adapted into Christianity.
47 likesLargely to convince the many pagan cultures of Europe to convert to Christianity during the rise of Christianity.
@XboxLeep same
4 likesReally? My family is very religious (Roman Catholic) and we still hand out candy sometimes past midnight. We also keep the big candy bars for the younger kids. But when it gets late we usually have some left over so the later people come the better their loot lol.

1 like+Close- that's where the actual candy part comes from, peasants would go door to door and get honey and nuts and crap like that.
9 likesAlthough to be entirely honest, I don't think the holiday now is either holy or satanic, it's really just candy companies making a huge profit.
@U R Phake And Gey true like emblems and charms being turned into crosses to bring luck or protect people

Yet we still don't celebrate Halloween.
2 likes@Gisèle Ngimbi lol my family too. We never believed in god but still went to church. After our church let people post trump signs in their yard we stopped going

I literally trick or treated that Halloween :|
1 like@ILoveQazaqstan Was there very few people going around, or was it only just you? I recalled that I didn’t really see anyone walking by my house on last year’s Halloween

2 likesI'm too old to trick or treat nowadays, so now I just use my costume to disguise as a decoration to jumpscare people and hand out candy. Doesn't always work, but it's better than staring at a screen as usual for those 2 hours.

4 likesnot really, in my apartment building in Spain Halloween spread and we would go trick-or-treating around the building.
0 likes@Jdmgang668 did you guys just sneak into the apartment building then ring every door?
0 likes@usiNex we didn't sneak inside, we lived there. But we did ring every single door. No Mercy. If they didn't open we woul try like 300 times and then leave.
0 likes@Jdmgang668 oh, lmao

My old neighborhood was always packed with people on Halloween. One time my mom, my sister and I were walking up the road to check out all the decked out houses, and it was crowded as hell. We were at one end of the street and our house was maybe a little more than a half mile away. My dad and other sister were driving down the road to our house but we still beat them there, plus making stops at nearly every house. It was packed
1 likeI never did a trick or treat but the neighbors' kids do it relentlessly. I'm just so happy that whenever they do knock on the door, i'm either watching a movie or listening to some music.
1 likeLmao i remember that anxiety you'd get when you were dressing up and getting ready to go out and the first few kids came to your door
2 likesI'm glad I actually live in a fun neighborhood during Halloween lol. A whole bunch of trick-or-treaters come over every year and all the houses are decorated. It's pretty fun

1 likeI remember that exact Halloween, I was finally going to experience trick or treating for the first time, and I got hit by one of the worst migraines I've ever had, and nearly passed out, so I had to be taken home, throwing up all the way.
1 likeI never celebrated Halloween, but staying up all night watching Halloween movies like corpse bride was the shit
2 likesI live in Brazil and this is extremely relatable, it's really rare to see people trick or treating out there. The only Halloween party I get is at my school (it's actually not that fun tbh, we just watch the little kids dancing while the teachers blast boring songs.) Since I was a kid my dream was to go to a place that actually celebrates Halloween lmao
0 likesThese videos remind me of a time when I enjoyed life; when life was simple, and I took every aspect of life for granted. Everyone seemed so happy back then. I wish I could go back to the days of when I was a child.

7 likesI never went trick or treating with friends until my Junior year (last year). We had a blast! Went to an abandoned house, watched scary movies while eating candy. It was a blast! Much better than trick or treating with my mom and my brother in a small town close by
1 likeAhh I love how you add nostalgic time periods for the time it was recorded!
2 likesI never had Halloween because my mother thought it was Satanism, but my father always got candy for us anyway.

2 likesReplies (1)
It’ll probably take awhile for those kids to have kids of their own and then the neighborhood will be busy on Halloween again lol
0 likesi have a fun neighborhood now but before we moved this is what most of my halloween’s looked like. sometimes my parents would buy us some donuts or candy but this is very accurate
6 likes2014 was my last time trick or treating. I was to big for it (both mentally and physically) and 12 year old tend to wanna grow out of it but looking back, I miss being able to see how much candy I can get without worrying.
1 likeI hope one day I can move into a neighborhood that really likes to celebrate holidays especially Halloween that's always been a dream of mine
1 likeJust the whole vibe of a chilly night and being decked out in halloween costumes is smth I really want to experience, but I prob won’t because of how most of us don’t rly celebrate it here unless you live in landed private property (basically the rich expat families) bc majority of us live in apartment flats/condominiums where you don’t get the whole “walking down the neighbourhood” vibe
1 likeAfter 12 years old, my Halloween days were over. I was just given a big bag of Candy at that point. 👀
17 likesI just remember watching SpongeBob in 2008 on mute, then playing funny or inappropriate music on my iPod and laughing hysterically when the visuals of a scene matched well with the sound.
2 likesDamn...
0 likesFor my entirety of my life, we had to drive an entire hour just to buy candy at a store and eat it ourselves, I've given up on costumes at the time. Thank God I'm finally able to go somewhere this Halloween, and a kids daycare for all the places, imma feel the past I never got to feel when I was young 😩
My parents used to think holoween was evil. We never got candy, never opened the door for any kid, and never bought any costumes.
16 likesIt's not like that now, but we live in a neighborhood where a meth lab was discovered, 3 pedophiles were arrested, and at least 2 shootings a year. So nobody does trick or treat here, families drive to the rich part of town to get their candy.

Damn bro im sorry
2 likesLet me guess… Albuquerque. New Mexico? (Breaking Bad reference)
3 likesI know its just a day but something about being out late night at Halloween has a nice vibe to it.
1 likeThis gives off the same vibes as when you get home after trick or treating, but it's too late so you can't eat your candy yet and have to wait until tomorrow.
3 likesI’ve never had many friends, though I have more now, my street was never bustling with kids or anything. My family has never been well off, so it makes it harder to live somewhere like that. Not to mention my parents don’t like people over very much so this is usually my reality (but I usually play splatoon 2 with my friends during Halloween)
3 likesYeah I can relate. Halloween isn’t really a big thing here so my family don’t celebrate and just spend the night like we do for any other night
2 likesI lived in a fun neighborhood, but I still understand this because my mother was devout Christian and refused to allow us to celebrate Halloween as she believed it was inherently demonic.
1 likeFor as long as I can remember, I’ve never had trick or treaters come to my house. My neighborhood was full of old people lmao
2 likesI remember one year I was recovering from a surgery, so I just stayed at my front lawn with my family hosting a barbecue and drank hot cocoa.
2 likesThat was the first time I had hot cocoa.
I’ll probably have more this year.
This was a good half of my childhood. Then we moved to a crappy neighborhood just before I entered middle school, and we almost never had anyone outside during Halloween.

3 likesI’ve never gone trick or treating, never had a birthday party and never got to dress up for Halloween. Man, I wish I could just do that now.
1 likeI can relate to this. I have a really really small neighborhood and not very many people are in it. It’s kind of sketchy to be honest. I can relate to just hanging out Halloween night.
1 likeMy mom would always drive us to the rich people neighbourhoods in hopes of getting big chocolate bars. It worked a lot of the time lol. When I was really little we lived on an acreage, so we only have like ten neighbours, so we would get pop cans, big chocolate bars, full bags of chips, and lots of candy from each house.
1 likeI just remember the excitement of sometimes when I was younger when I'd go to the rich side of town and get myself full size chocolate bars 🍫 and cans of pop. But yeah, I have and do still have Halloweens like this one. Just chilling at home.
1 likeGod this makes me so sad cause in the neighborhood my family used to live in took Halloween so seriously and it was friggin awesome. Halloween was one of the most hype holidays in that neighborhood. But the neighborhood we live in now is always so... empty during Halloween it’s kinda sad. It’s gotten better now but I remember the first Halloween we had here only like two kids came I think. It was weird

1 likeEven if my neighborhood is usually bustling during Halloween.. When the pandemic hit, my neighborhood was all quiet. This was due to the new curfew and the fact we needed to stay at home during the time. This was one of the rare times it was ever this silent on Halloween. So, I do relate to this.
0 likesreminds me about every single halloween because I’ve never ever trick or treated, only dressed up for parties 😩
1 likeI don't need to live in a cool neighborhood on Halloween when I've got a giant library of horror movies and games.
2 likesAh, the days when you had to travel over to the rich gated community that opened up only on Halloween for the good candy.
16 likesMiss those days.

I have a friend in the rich zone, I always go with his party.
1 likeSame with me, my neighborhood was filled with old people so my family always drove on-base where everyone trick or treated
0 likesmy mom never let me celebrate halloween. i lived in a sort of remote area so houses werent really close together. Houses nearby mostly consisted of old retired people. On top of that i never made any friends so I couldnt go to their neighborhoods to trick or treat. So halloween afternoon would always just be a normal. the days however were usually something or other where the school would host some kind of event where kids would come to school in costumes.
1 likeAll the older kids growing up can relate to this 😂
1 likeOne time I went trick or treating with my older cousin and he brought a friend with him, 3 of us went to a haunted house and in the backyard his friend was tackled to the ground by a guy in a koolaid man costume lmao
2 likesHalloween was only fun once. It was when I went my with my sister and cousin. All my friends from school lived to far away and I couldn’t go with them. I miss the old Halloween days back in 2008 when I was 8yrs old. The nostalgia I get from seeing Halloween decorations in Walmart.
1 likeI wish I could experience the feeling of walking down a row of houses in the neighbourhood at 2am after trick or treating with my friends, laughing at each other whenever we get the smallest scare from something random we see.

1 likeEither way, every Halloween me and my friends would hang out after classes (we were pretty young so mostly just played together) after that, go home and just do assignments. I miss the feeling of "real tiredness"
To be honest, I always rather stay home during halloween. Partly because in my area we don't get all that many trick or treaters and partly because I prefer to just chill and watch movies all night with a Jack o lantern and the lights out.
1 likeIn Australia we don't overly celebrate Halloween, some suburbs do more with decorations than others but most houses always have candy even if they don't decorate for it
1 likeI've never napped during the day at all but I kind of felt this? When I got home on days like that, I'd sit down with a hot drink and put on my fave show for a little while
1 likeI feel like this is the type of video that would get 9 million views 5 years from now

1 likeThe fact I still understand this even I don't celebrate halloween
1 likeI guess I had a fun neighborhood during Halloween. I remember getting all sorts of candy. I remember getting quarters at one house. I remember actually listening to the signs that told me how much candy to take. I remember an old guy asking me if I was a little old for trick-or-treating. I had some good times.
1 likehonestly, every halloween is like this for me, cause i live in Brazil, and we don't do trick or treating here, which is pretty sad for me since halloween is one of my favourite time of the year

2 likesI can understand this but I always had a fun neighborhood during Halloween. Now, you might be asking... "Keaton, How can you understand this when you always had a fun neighborhood?". Well, you see, my older brother rarely gone outside on Halloween... Whenever he did, he wasn't outside for the candy, he was just there just to watch us have fun.
1 likeYou make me feel Happy and nostalgic, Thank you.
1 likeI work every year at a haunted house now, so, fortunately, my Halloweens are a lot more fun because they used to be like this before.
1 likeMy neighborhood was fun, nobody like me is all, couldn't afford entertainment so I just stared at a wall in a dark room so the electricity bill wasn't too high.
13 likesOh my god, this is so accurate. It's like you're peering into my memories. Creepy.
1 likeI never used to really like Halloween but for once I'm sorta excited
1 likeMy street is known as the halloween street where for Halloween the whole school and everybody close comes over and it’s big event with decorations; music and food. Then my close friends sleepover as we tell horror stories and eat sweets. I love it and i’m so grateful for it

23 likesI somewhat understand this because of 2020, but most of my Halloween's have consisted of picking costumes, getting decorations, etc. Heck, I'm gonna go this year as an Eevee! (Pretty generic, wouldn't you say?)
1 likeIn my younger years of elementary school I always had to leave my neighborhood for Halloween but right before ending the night I would always hit up my neighborhood just incase. I only went trick or treating around a total of 3 times so this definitely made up for it
0 likesIn my neighborhood there are some houses that are called “House Halloweens” or “Halloween Houses”, where they are extravagantly decorated foundation to roof and always give our buttloads of candy.
0 likesConsidering how much I love Halloween, I’m gonna join them once I get my own house

1 likeI feel this on so many levels-
0 likesI actually did stay inside on Halloween to watch SpongeBob. Mostly because I didn't have a costume that year. Then again it was specifically for the Halloween episode, but still counts
0 likesSheeeeeit I didn't even explore my neighborhood.

0 likesin 2014 halloween was really awesome for me in my neighborhood, now its like the video you showed. dont even bother waiting for trick or treators to come to MY door step. 0 likesGrowing up in the hood I remember the one time I dressed up as Spider-Man in my own house and my mom let me run around a little.
0 likesI can't tell of I'm very sad or very happy about that
I was out trick or treating, but man the Halloween spongebob episodes were fun.
0 likesi do understand this. i live on a street with just houses, and no one trick or treats around here.
0 likesi do just watch stuff while other neighborhoods are having the time of their lives.
I kinda like it.
It’s weird, I both do and don’t understand this. My neighborhood always trick or treats yet you never really see anyone on the streets until like 11:00 pm and even then there’s not that many people
0 likesWhen I was much younger, I used to go out with family and friends for halloween but when I got to middle school, I would only go by myself '-'

3 likesMan our country doesn't really celebrate halloween but our highschool actually had a halloween party back in 2019 and making a shitty ass costume was actually really fun. This month would've been our third one of it weren't for you know, the pandemic.
0 likesThis is something I can still relate to lol
0 likesI remember being to able to watch Nickelodeon and eat candy at my cousin's house just a block away whenever it started to rain.
0 likesWe used to get trick or treaters every year. Then some drug dealers moved in down the street. Once the swat team came and they were arrested, we saw even less.
1 likeThe general safety of the neighborhood went down and down. Now I've not seen a kid at my door for 10 years. It's really sad.
I'll turn 18 this year and I wanna have the last halloween even tho I didn't have one properly, so I'll leave this comment here whenever I watch this video to remind myself.
0 likesEvery halloween, my neighbor just full on sets up his house for halloween, and adds a fucking dragon along with a huge pirate ship to his house. He also adds a movie to play on his garage, so once i finish trick or treating, I eat my candy and watch the movies he plays
1 likeIn my old neighborhood when I use to go trick or treating it started at four and ended at seven so I can relate
0 likesI don't if anyone else does this but I use to turn on the tv at night and turn on cartoons to keep me company
1 likewell I didn't grow up in a neighborhood I had a small house in the middle of nowhere off a major highway, but we always went into town to this one specific neighborhood and just had the time of our lives
0 likesMe waiting for Halloween after school and watching SpongeBob after it rains...
1 likeMy neighborhood was never really big on occasions like halloween, but my gramma still buys chocolates and candies just incase. At the end of the day we'll be the one eating it.
0 likeshearing the "trick or treat! happy halloween!"
1 likein the distance feels so nostalgic
I'm Australian, so Halloween isn't a big thing for us, so I very much understand this .
0 likeswe don’t have a fun neighborhood but we always drove to the rich neighborhoods to trick or treat, every year almost every house would go all out on decorations on their house.
0 likesYoah I love the nostalgia edits! Welcome to the liminal family! I do vhs edits and I’m becoming bigger! You were inspiring and one of the reasons I did this! I was inspired by many including you! Thank you
0 likesCould describe and relate to so many characteristics of this video.
1 likeOnly people know the feeling of staying out late and coming home just watching cartoons and chilling
0 likesknowing that i cant enjoy that happiness because nobody cared about halloween in my neighborhood...
The neighborhoods I grew up in weren’t very safe so my mom would round us up and drive to the fun neighborhoods to get some candy and have a little fun
0 likesBruh, this will never be me, turning 69 in 4 weeks but still dress up as a lobster every Halloween and go trick or treating.
0 likesHalloween is always like this, because all the kids either grew up or moved out.
0 likesI swear I’m so unlucky to have a neighborhood of only middle aged people, cause when my mom was my age, the streets were FULL of people asking for Trick or Treat, even some of my cousins have an active neighborhood too
0 likesI did get to go Trick or Treating for about 5 years, and then the pandemic happened and nobody wanted to go outside for that reason, even after this whole thing has died out I can no longer hear anybody asking for candy and it’s quite sad
I usually went to hang out with a friend for halloween because my neighborhood isn’t fun, but my friend’s neighborhood is
0 likesThis brings nostalgia that I didn't know still exist in me.
0 likeslast halloween i gave out candy, ate half, cried the whole time and everyone assumed it was my costume
0 likesMy neighborhood in a nutshell:
0 likesNothing but watching tv and making new videos at 2AM
Ah yes
I went out to the rich places to get the good stuff and the last Halloween I remember I got a full bar and a full cab of coke it was fun😌
1 likeI remember doing this on Halloween in 2014 except watching The Simpsons Treehouse of Horror marathon when the show was introduced on FXX since I was finally old enough to watch the show
0 likesStill doing it until this day, also I'm mid 20's.
2 likesI prefer this to be honest. It was much more peaceful and nice to relax.
0 likesI remember this halloween because i dressed up as Cleveland Brown and every house i went to just thought i wasn't in costume so this was the last year i went trick or treating.
0 likesOne year later and I still do that during Halloween
0 likesI'm christian and my suburb is about 50% christian. Usually we only get like 1 trick-or-treater every year. Back in the old house we had to deal with hoardes of them but it was never after dark. I never remember living in a neighborhood that was crazy about Halloween.
0 likesAll my Halloween memories are watching the specials on cartoon network and nickelodeon

0 likesI was a little to young to remember this, but I do remember watching some episodes of SpongeBob SquarePants during Halloween
0 likesThis was me when I was 5 after a Halloween party God it’s been so long I barely remember it beside everyone was there
0 likesMy neighborhood loud af on Halloween 😂
0 likesthis is how it would be for me all the time. i miss it☹️
1 likeIt's always good days like this while super late at night they're rerunning old SpongeBob episodes and the cool Summer breeze comes through the open windows along with the crickets the dogs are sleeping and the cats are sleeping in your arms
0 likesAs a Brazilian I can relate
0 likesI didn't have smartphones when I was a kid. And if we did, it would be madness to let a kid have one. Also my neighborhood was boring. So yeah my Halloween was typically spent watching Halloween specials/marathons at home.

1 likeBless you Angel sniff Bless you for bringing back some of my favorite childhood memories.
0 likesi loved halloween until i got ditched now it’s always my least fav holiday lol
0 likesWeird.. there's always alot of knocking around my house on Halloween night.
0 likesI don't have any neighbors though
I live in a secluded area with
Just a small cemetery nearby.
Walking 45 minutes in rainy Canadian weather on halloween, on route to the Rich McMansion neighborhoods, where all the good candy is, then getting lost with your friends 😍😍😍>>>
1 likeIt’s really ironic how in that same year of Halloween I dressed up as spongebob and watched Nickelodeon shows till 12 AM soon as I went back home after trick or treating
0 likesMy neighbor hood was kinda fun but sometimes people that would go in cars wouldn’t stop when they’d see someone walking across the street so we always had to be super careful
0 likesYeah, my neighborhood is exactly like that, but with rare chance of a few. Wonder if anybody still grown would cosplay at said Halloween, I could if I would but am uncertain most of the time.
0 likesI remember last Halloween having a mental breakdown for most of it
0 likesHalloween 2014 was probably the most hammered I've ever gotten.
0 likesIt's sad how I'll probably never exprience halloween again-- Maybe, I'm not completely sure, but My parents had to switch houses, so new house , new neighborhood. I was so upset when I was just said that I shouldn't go trick-or-treating since nobody used to . Last halloween was so fun, i really hope it happens again.
0 likesWell, I must have a "fun neighborhood during Halloween"
0 likesI remember every Halloween I played borderlands 1 the moxxie dome and for some reason I made it kinda traditional to play borderlands on Halloween, 21 and I can say I’m very excited to play that game once again
0 likesi know im late but i just love when im with like a few friends going around town being lost but at the same time know exactly where my house is not even trick or treating
0 likesit's not safe to do this in some cities in the us, so i never even went out with friends as a kid. and on top of that my mom wouldn't let me explore wearing costumes because apparently "Halloween celebrates the devil" :/
0 likesThis is me when I was doing something else for my life.
0 likesBro Halloween used to be a decently big thing in my neighborhood. Now I never see kids on Halloween.
0 likesWhy does this feel so nostalgic even though I went trick or treating every year?
1 likeI don't even celebrate Halloween like this. We just do nothing.
0 likesI don’t understand this and now my life is great.
0 likesI used to go to a different neighborhood for good ole Halloween. It has a creepy stone church.
0 likesYup, sad to say I understand this, never in my life been on Halloween cuz parents religion I just been inside playing my games or watching tv shows while all my friends are getting their candy's and everything.
0 likesI always make it a tradition to play Luigi’s mansion the night before Halloween and see if I can beat it before midnight
0 likesThis reminds me more of being a kid in a rainy day
0 likesMy neighborhood is the DEFINITION of comedy.
0 likesMe and my friends always go to the other side of the neighborhood because that is where the real parties hold. Giant candy bars, the police are there to watch, and parents are slowly dying inside.
0 likesThis is me cuz I never experienced Halloween truly. Parents say cuz of safety. I wish I could go trick or treating like my friends
0 likesWe used to go out at night in the streets throwing firecrackers and run around playing hide n seek w/ the neighbourhood kids. Halloween was a fun time as a kid back in the 2010s but now the fun is gone 🥲😂
0 likesThis made me realise, I've never done Halloween ever....
0 likesDamn, this rly hit close home ☹️
0 likesI remember that one year with the clowns, door stayed securely locked during that one.
0 likesLast time I went trick or treating, I was dressed up as a box. Got invited to go with a friend but I didn’t have a costume, so we took some cardboard and created a box costume.
0 likesAh Yes,
0 likesStaying Inside during a Halloween night :)
I didn't even have to relate to this because of the pandemic, I'm in the Philippines and halloween isn't that recognized here so I can completely understand
0 likesI only have my mom to trick or treat with rn.
0 likesHopefully me and my best friend can make plans for halloween so I can actually have fun trick or treating.
Just chilling in the house on a Halloween breezy day watching some SpongeBob and texting your friends
0 likesMan life was good back in the 2000's
0 likesOne year during Halloween my dad started up Luigi's mansion and had me go to an area that plays the scary music, he hooked a speaker up to the outside of our house and people would hear it as they trick or treated
0 likesFor some reason, children and their parents always came out during that night on the sidewalks in my neighborhood.
0 likesThis is relatable since Halloween got canceled due to covid last year. I couldn’t go, but I’m going this year so yay!
0 likesDid anyone ever float when they slept as a child? I remember for solid months I'd float over my body and go through the ceiling, see the attic and eventually float above the city. I remember vividly seeing my body on my bed and details of the roof of my old house.
1 likeReplies (1)
I have! I actually still can do this. It's weird and fun haha.
0 likesOne time a bunch of random people outright banged the shit out of my door scaring the shit out of me and I look out the window and see about 4-5 dark figures running out of my front yard with my thoughts being "wow, really?"
0 likesKinda same, I only spent 10 minutes trick or treating, hopefully it is better at my new neighborhood
0 likesEdit: It was the same. I had to ride the car to go to a place to had candy, but half of the houses did not. Our neighbor got candy for the kids but we were the only people it get it, I feel bad for him.
boy i love staring behind a screen on a halloween evening at home
0 likesi miss hanging out with my families.
0 likesImagine being in a country that celebrates Halloween
0 likesI've never had the feeling of dressing up and knocking at doors for free lollies. My neighbourhood doesn't really do trick or treating, probs cus most of the residents are asian
0 likesimagine living in a country that celebrates halloween
0 likes0:08 i like how you manage to make this look realistic by having their be a reflection of the tv on the coffee table.
0 likesit's unthinkable that some people don't celebrate halloween. i always had so much fun trick or treating as a kid, and now I will dress up to give out candy as an adult. trunk or treat and its consequences have been a disaster for the human race
0 likeslast halloween me and my friends just hang out with some random grandma and grandpa listing to stories they where telling while eating candy the life
2 likeslol i cant celebrate halloween so this was it every year, im 18 now and im going to celebrating for the very first time in my entire life!! i cant wait :]
0 likesLol I feel like I can relate but I really cantttt. My neighborhood is super fun on Halloween lol.
0 likesThis feels relaxing
0 likesYeah, I live in Brazil and here the habit of celebrating Halloween is not very common, it's really boring to want to celebrate and nobody do that.
0 likesi never celebrated Halloween because my dad thinks it's demonic 😀
2 likesI live in a neighborhood where trick r' treat barely exists, all I just do is either chill or watch horror movies.
0 likesi can't relate, i don't even have a fun neighborhood, i don't even text, I'd most likely just play minecraft with a spooky texture pack
0 likesThe nostalgia…
0 likesIn the country I live in, there is not really a Halloween, all we have are themed night club parties and some people putting Jack-o'-lanterns on their windows.
0 likesI never got to do anything in Halloween. But stay in and eat up candy, watch old school nickelodeon and cartoonnetwork, and scary movies. ....... Now that I say it out loud. I had Some good Halloween's. Only Some.
1 likeIve never experienced this bc in portugal 90 percent of people live in buildings so yea theres never really the trick or treat ( i think its how i say it) thing except when you and your friends go to a Halloween party then the night would be fun as hell :)
0 likesI did not understand this it took me a week to figure out, i have the best neighborhood friends ever 😭
1 likeLove how true this is
0 likesI understand and relate as I don't have a fun neighbourhood
0 likesi lived in the middle of nowhere (like, nearest house was a 15 minute walk away) so my mom just drove us a half hour away to nearby towns on halloween night
0 likesI can relate to this way to much
0 likesI dont have a fun neighborhood during halloween but i dont understand this
1 likehalloween is my birthday so I can't relate for a different reason since everyone's like "oh lets go out, its your birthday!" as opposed to "lets go out and trick or treat!"
0 likesI remember one Halloween my parents wouldn't let me go trick or treating for a b and c reasons, and the house literally two houses across the street had a huge party with like half the neighborhood. I have never been so jealous of someone in my life.
1 likeI remember going to the rich neighborhoods to get good candy
0 likesWe don't celebrate Halloween, but this still nostalgic
0 likesMy neighborhood is mostly middle aged and older residents.......so I unfortunately relate to this.
0 likesI’m so excited to go trick or treating this year
0 likesI would go hime and watch over the garden wall with my older brother 😪🙌🏾
0 likesI enjoy having fun on Halloween
2 likesIt’s kind of the same (same date, same time, similar location and no fun neighborhood), except I was watching Monster High: Ghouls Rule DVD on TV in the living room while playing around with my Halloween costume by myself.
0 likesi live in a neighborhood and always used to go trick or treating
0 likesim not sure how ill feel now
My neighborhood isn’t great for Halloween (it’s okay but most of the houses don’t decorate) so we just/walk drive to a better neighborhood and get candy there.
0 likesWish I could relate, since in our country we dont really celebrate Halloween like in the west. Its just candy sales and commercials, My parents just buy candy for us so we could experience Halloweens in the west.
0 likesMe and my friends would all gather up at one of our houses and play halo 3 split screen before halloween began
1 likeThe last time I went trick or treating was Halloween 2019 when I was 15, I dressed up as Chase from PAW Patrol 😂 I went with a few other kids from my school, and there was only one other group that was out, and they were also high schoolers. I got like four full size candies that day, and I was so happy. Couldn't go last year because of the pandemic, and this year things are just crazy in the world, and I'm 17 now so too old :( I miss trick or treating...
0 likesReplies (1)
You're never too old for Trick Or Treating, especially if you go with family or friends. I'm 17 and plan on dressing up with my family in StarWars theme! I'm going to be a Jedi! :0
0 likesOn my country, nobody celebrates halloween, they think its a devil thing or something, but the stores gives free candy to kids,According to my uncles they say that in other neighborhoods they celebrate it,but i don't think nobody does it anymore,on other halloween,I gave the kids candy, their bags or baskets were empty or just had small candys, see them smile maked my night happy
0 likesIn Brazil people don’t really celebrate Halloween doing trick or treat sadly, and in my family we don’t celebrate it at all so me and my brothers just play games and eat candy
0 likesWell, we don't have Halloween in my country, we have something similar. But generally, my neighborhood is a quiet one, save for some motorcycle dudes and some loud music from a neighbor
0 likesWhen you don't understand because you don't celebrate Halloween:
0 likesThis is the glory of the oldest child. You get to do that and when the little ones come back you get free candy.
0 likesWell that's me every Halloween cuz we don't celebrate it in our country lol
1 likeI wasn't allowed to go Trick-or-Treating so I would play with my brother on our Windows Vista computer while my parents gave out candy and chocolate.
0 likesmy neighborhood was boring as hell but a bunch of my friends would get together and we would car pool like 30 blocks where all the rich people at
0 likesGlad I was outside with my friends.
0 likesi relate to this because my country doesnt do halloween stuff
0 likesDamnnnn, memories
0 likesThe good old days
0 likesI wish I could celebrate the spooky month :(
0 likesThat better be the old Halloween episode
0 likesHavent done Halloween in 6 years for “religious reasons” 😭😭
1 likengl, i actually leave the tv on and have it play spongebob squarepants while i do something else
0 likesThis man and his team (probably) raised 165k
0 likesGood man :)
I understand this, while my other brothers left me in the house and cant find them, and my friends wasnt outside during halloween either, so i had to stay home and play stuff :(
0 likesDamn, I think this the only vid I can't relate to cause I've lived in NYC my whole life.
0 likesI literally had to get my parents to drive me 15 minutes to go trick or treating
0 likesWell I used to live in nyc so it was a fun neighborhood, but now I’m in deep country in Louisiana so I have to buy candy from Walmart and each house is like 2 miles apart from each other
0 likesah, such good times bruh btw I understand this rlly good 🥺😀👍
1 likeI remember being high af that day on 2014
0 likesFun times man
That was like the last two week of summer break for me
0 likesIf I went out on halloween night I would be lucky to come back without getting stabbed or something stolen.
0 likesNice animation bro 💙💙👍👍
0 likesoff topic but can you do "it's the early 2000's and you're watching yugioh after school/during weekends"
0 likesLiterally me because my neighborhood at that time was just 3 other houses lmao.
0 likesIn Pakistan, Halloween is not a well-known holiday. Here are the holidays we observe instead:
0 likes- New Year's Eve/Day
- Kashmir Day
- Pakistan Day
- Labour Day on 1 May
- Independence Day
- Muhammad Ali Jinnah's birthday. It's coincidentally on Christmas.
- The Two Eids (Eid ul Fitr and Eid ul Azha)
The Eids are the most important holidays after Independence Day.
I moved to the God - Tier halloween neighborhood.
0 likesWhy have I never experienced this before
0 likesJust play the TF2 halloween event while ignoring the bell ringing
0 likesAh yes, the introvert halloween
1 likeI live on a dirt road with ditches instead of sidewalks, we’ve never had a trick-or-treater make the hike out here.
0 likesGranted, we live on a defunct overgrown farm surrounded by cornfields, so there’s always the option of just running into the woods and becoming a cryptid...
I felt this last halloween
0 likesNah thats going to be the podcast that I cohost one year anniversary! Drinking mead and eating burgers yo!
0 likesI Remember Going Outside All The Time in Halloween!
0 likesI Mostly Dressed Up As Elsa!
But This Halloween, I Might Dress Up As Hatsune Miku Or Spongebob.
This how every Halloween went for me because my family doesn't celebrate 🥲
0 likesbro my neighborhood had atleast 50 kids out in halloween it was insane
0 likesFacts but usually instead of Spongebob it’s a horror movie I’ve never seen before
0 likesThis was actually Halloween for me at My Dad's house.
1 likeBut hey, those were still decent times.
Trick or treating is still the best
I'm just playing with the computer during holidays ,Christmas ,Halloween ,spring day and summer
1 likeAll the Videos U upload is making me rememeber my childhood
0 likesLast Halloween I sat on my porch for 3 hours with a big bowl of candy, dressed like Mary Poppins, and nobody came.
0 likesI mean I'm always dressed like Mary Poppins but I was still disappointed.
As a croatian, i can ralate
0 likescrickets used to just annoy me, but now i wish they'd come back

0 likesI never have celebrated halloween so this is pretty much me everyday.
1 likeme, in my country that doesn't even celebrate halloween: haha wow, that is relatable!
0 likesNice. I remember this.

0 likes10-3-21 Thanks homepage, got yourself a new sub! Love from Pittsburgh PA dude!
0 likesDang I can relate to this
0 likesYeah being at the top of a hill means I seldom get anyone. But I leave the bowl out for anyone willing to make the trek.
0 likesi haveeee!
0 likesi didnt have a phone but i always sat on my couch watching sponge bob in the afternoon when the sun made the room look orange. those days were back in 2014!
So relatable lmao
0 likesThis was the first of these videos that I couldn't relate to whatsoever.
0 likesI don't understand it
1 likeThat's probably because I don't live in a neighborhood lol
There's this one guy in my neighborhood that hands out hotdogs to anyone that passes by his house during Trick-or-treat. He even did it in 2020, which was risky, but we (my neighborhood) all appreciated it.
1 likeI've always went trick-or-treating, but this year I won't be able to participate. The decorations are the best to look at. Someone got a giant blow up thingy that had to be deflated a bit bc it was almost as tall as the house.
1 likeThis was the exact halloween i had a life changing acid trip
0 likesThis’ll sound fake but I’ve never been trick-or-treating in my entire life
1 likewelp. guess i had a fun neighborhood during halloween
1 likeI wish we could had Halloween in my country.
0 likesI understand this way too much
0 likesman its going to hit different when i stop trick or treating😣

0 likeslmao i ask my mom for a bag of candy from the store *whips out phone*
0 likesIn my neighborhood only ONE person has knocked on my door and said "trick or treat". And it's not even 1 person a year, it's 1 person every 12 years
0 likesIt used to be fun, but then all the kids grew up
0 likesIt's really rare to see trick or treaters in my neighbourhood last Halloween we only got one group of trick or treaters that came to my house and we didn't have candy for them
1 likeAll those Halloween i had were a good time with friends except this last Halloween was boring af.
0 likesAll I remember from 2014 halloween was going to a different neighborhood
0 likesI understood this loud and clear
0 likesThis is so relatable and sad...
0 likesWe didn't have a fun neighborhood, but we would use another neighborhood

0 likesYeah, I have a fun neighborhood on Halloween.
0 likesthat's a terrifying driveway
0 likesHeck, not even that, I'm in an awfully quiet and small neighborhood, it's just dead silence xD

0 likesmy neighborhood celebrates it, but my friends keep saying ''well here in the D.R, we dont do that'' well, clearly, some do.
0 likesMannnn i love this kind of video.
1 likeI never enjoyed Halloween nor celebrated it I was too worried about going to hell when I was a child. Christian school took my childhood joy and shredded in pieces and the bullies helped too.
0 likesImagine commemorating Halloween

1 likeI find this painful to watch, i’m italian, and here Halloween is seen as an “anti-religious” thing idk, Italy is a very boring country, 99.9% of the population is old, i will never feel this type of fun
0 likesTfw you never got to celebrate halloween because it was a pagan holiday even though your christian holidays were appropriations of pagan ones
