Haha, I'm SO loving the use of vocal samples for that concept, at first it starts okay but then she experiences a bad trip... XD I never tried drugs, but ponies make everything awesome so I appreciate this! 2:26 AW YEAH!!! Loving your performance on the Hammond B3, and I get how it could have been inspired by Jon Lord, I do know him from Deep Purple :) So if you made an album in this style it could be titled "Come Taste The Dandelion" ;) (reference intended)
Ha ha, yes Deep Purple is soo great! And the disted Hammond is just so much Lords idea. Laurens Hammond would turn in he's grave if he heard this abuse of his innovation. It was invented to emulate church organs, so to use it for rock and jazz? I bet he was mad. "Come Taste The Dandelion" YAAAY! That would be something. it was not a real B3 used for this, just a very good emulation the Native Instruments B4 VST, very cool and close to the real thing. And about drugs, same for me, it's a big no-no. Well ok beer and fine red vine is ok in small amounts. It was just a funny metaphor for "Friendship Is Magic". "edit" Here is a group to check out too, if you like oldscool beats and organs, old but very groovy : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rZPqEtl4_1o
@Dandelion Ass Haha yes, I love how prog/psychedelic rock bands jumped on it and used the Hammond to the max, it must have felt so cool for them and I can so understand :p And yeah you did well emulating it with that VST! Hmm I should look into getting it. I have some Korg and Yamaha VSTs (Triton Extreme FTW!) but I don't think I have any Hammond. Gotta fix that sometime. (even if for now I'm not making any music lolol, I'm still nerding about that stuff) Whoah that band is so good! Loving it, thanks for the share! You know all the good stuff ^.^
Yeah, the beat is as sick as the whole concept, i don't like the idea of high ponies. But the quote "friendship is magic" just made sense to that picture in a funny way. And oh, thanks!
