I recently broke up with my first love. He cheated, and the whole relationship wansn't good all round. I've been angry, I've been depressed. A few weeks ago I remember you saying on either Snapchat or Twitter about how you weren't happy with your voice because it didn't sound as strong as the original song etc etc and honestly I never saw a problem with it in the first place but I just noticed after you started posting those videos with such brave topics and using your platform to help others despite your own negative experience that in this song you sound much much stronger! And yes maybe those two things aren't connected at all but I like to think that your artistry as a YouTube creator of Vlogs and a YouTube creator of music have effected each other in a really positive way.
You've taken your past problems, overcome them and are sharing your experience with thousands of others to support them & just the few week difference in your voice (to me anyway) is a beautiful little metaphor of that. Forever proud of you Dodie. x

You always say how you can't belt and you used to hardly sing loud at all in your videos and don't get me wrong it has always sounded beautiful but I love how you seem to be gaining more confidence and I actually thing that it sounds really good when you sing loud like in this video and like in some more recent ones.
