Some fun trivia about the play actors: Regular Zuko is played by Dante Basco, Actor Zuko is played by his brother Derek. Azula's voice actress Grey DeLisle (now Grey Griffin) plays Actress Katara. The big buff male version of Toph was actually the original design for the character before she was redesigned as a girl.
@DumFukkJuice Yup! In all fairness, I'll stop making Owl House references in Avatar when The Owl House stops putting Avatar references in its episodes :P
I have never really liked recap episodes, especially if it was a show that I would watch week to week. But the way Avatar did it was really clever, and that little jab at the series worst episode was the icing on the cake.
For what can be considered a recap episode, this one is amazing and honestly one of my absolute favorite episodes in the show. It's presented in a very engaging way, and it's absolutely filled with meta-contextual humor and references, which makes it stand out. It ran the risk of being annoying, but managed to completely avoid that. Love it
Also: It's a very fun approach on how real stories can be documented and presented in a very different way than how it originally played out. It especially works out well here, since the Fire Nation has political motivations to represent the Aang gang in a silly way. The play is basically a propaganda piece.
this channel has grown so far i love i this channel this channel will be in my heart forever even when i die i hope you get 1m subs i wish you the best of everthing
( sorry I know that this is off topic ) So these are a couple of interesting movies which I would suggest for future polls :
Wolf Children (2012) : a very touching anime drama Brother Bear (2003) : has an interesting concept with a very important message about unity Lion King 2 : Simba’s pride (1998) : for some people this sequel is even better than the first, I wouldn’t say that but it’s still impressive Spirit : Stallion of the Cimarron (2002): a beautiful epic movie about the life of a horse set in the Wild West The Hunchback of Norte Dame (1996): quite dark for Disney Dinosaur (2000): has Great realistic animation
After this, you gotta react to the live action movie The Last Airbender!
NOT because it's good, but because it is notoriously bad and this somehow managed to predict that movie's faults and controversies. With your optimism, you actually might not hate it as much as most fans did (I was one of the few fans that didn't hate it when I first saw it, but then again, I was only vaguely familiar with the show at the time, being like 9 years old or something when it came out.)
While the play itself recapped everything they’ve done in their adventures and was hilarious to some of them, Aang and the group soon realize much to their shock it’s nothing more but Fire Nation propaganda.
As much as this play butchered The Avatar, the 2010 movie did even worse. Atleast this episodes purpose was to be funny, not just straight up disappointing like the movie. 😂

Katara: "I don't know, Aang. I'm just confused right now. See, there's this girl named Luz..."
