The reason why the Great Prince rarely appears and rarely speaks is the hard difficulty in animating his horns. Every frame is drawn, and budget is low and time is limited, WWII after all. Still, Bambi is the Walt Disney's favorite movie.
No matter how old I get, Bambi will still one of the most charming and wholesome Disney films to me. The animation of the animal characters are wonderfully done as the animators payed close attention to their realistic counterparts. I especially like the music as it goes from peaceful to thrilling in a lot of sequences.
I’d recommend checking out Bambi 2 as well, it’s just as good as the first film.😉
Random fact: At one point (can't say for today), 'Man' was on the 'Top 100 Movie Villains' list. And was unique in being the only character listed to NOT have an on-screen appearance.
Hope you'll do the sequel "Bambi II" eventually. Both these movies were a part of my childhood and are still favorites to this day :)
