Hey, bro! I said it before but I really appreciate that you are doing the challenge thing and you are getting better and better every video! God damn! Anyways, great reaction and have a nice day!)
And here, we get the premiere of Greg Baldwin as Iroh. It's a pretty good performance. Originally, there was a long gap between seasons, so I didn't notice the difference in his voice as much. But it's much more noticeable now, watching these episodes closer together.
And yeah, I don't have much to say about the actual episode because it's all just great stuff.
Ah, here we go! This episode is so good, being able to learn about the history of Roku and Sozin, how their friendship was put to the test. It sucked to see that Sozin betray Roku the way he did in the end and to see how Roku passed away. Seriously, one of S3’s finest episodes overall!
That was a great reaction. I was happy to hear you enjoyed it. This was one of my favorite episodes so far as well. The amount of worldbuilding was amazing. It's a tragedy how one man could unleash so much suffering onto the world; Sozin had build a prosperous nation with a happy people, and instead of creating a positive legacy he throws it all away. He's solely responsible for the extinction of the air nomads and for plunging the world into a hundred year war.
I liked the scene with Roku and the volcano; it shows that when the forces of nature are unleashed not even the avatar can stop it.
The reveal with Zuko and Iroh was amazingly done, and like you said in your reaction, the constant battle between good and evil within him will be a key role within his story and this show overall.
I'm really looking forward to your reaction to the upcoming episodes. Many of the upcoming episodes are among my favorites in this season and even in the entire series. Each of these episodes made a lasting impression on me for different reasons.
I can't thank you enough for all your hard work and for sharing your reactions with us.
The only thing I would have liked more is if Roku tried to hear Sozin out a little more about his imperialistic ambitions and maybe try to offer an alternative solution to bringing peace to the world.
If FIM has taught me anything, it's that understanding your enemy can be valuble.
Of course, knowing Sozin he still probably would have refused. But I would have liked to have seen an attempt by Roku to dissuade him with reasoned and rational arguments, not just say it's bad because it's bad.
What a mind-blowing experience it was to reveal who Avatar Roku and Sozin were in their younger days.
Zuko has their lineage and although he still feels conflicted over what his own father wants from him, his past should not dictate his present.
And have to give it up to voice actor Greg Baldwin as the new voice of Iroh. He honored Mako’s legacy well as his successor! A thing he would follow in Samurai Jack.
Yeah Roku was Fire Nation. Please don't take this the wrong way or anything but they have mentioned that a couple times plus they've mentioned the Avatar cycle a few times plus its literally in the show intro.
Hi PonyBro, I really like your content and appretiate u, keep up the good work. I would really like it if u make a reaction videos on this mlp fan series, if u want, im not forcing u, its called "Motherly Scootaloo", i really recommend watching it

Interesting backstory regarding Roku and Sossan. Quite the revelation with Zuko.
0 likesThis was also Iroh's first speaking episode since book 2 finale due to Mako passing away and Greg Baldwin taking over.
