I was 14 in 1986 when this came out, we had them in our music room at school, which was overseen by a complete cunt of a teacher.... by 1986 i had grown out of listening to madonna all the time and fell in love with electro music coming from america, as well as the house music that made its way here. Now i was proper into keyboards but never owned one, though my god parent Mick had a synth at home, not sure he really knew what to do with it, it was just a toy to him i guess. Back to school, one day i was messing about on the drumkit during break, and the music teacher shouted at me and yelled i had no musical talent at all. So then, during every lunch break i would play the drums really badly til she fucked off, then i would go play on the PSS170s, and then i learned how to record on a 4 track tape machine, and within a month, i had made my own very basic, but ok sounding electro house track. Looking back it was probably really fucking bad too lol but i left my name on the tape, and she found it, played i to the class, thinking they would take the piss and laugh, no, most didnt react at all, and a small few looked liked they were enjoying it. I pestered my mum to get me one for xmas, but when xmas arrived that keyboard already looked old and sounded the piece of shit it really was, but still, it got me where i am today, so for that, ill always love the pss170

I got one a couple years ago for about $15. I got into music late in life, but I've had a lot of fun with it. It's a nice, well rounded keyboard.
