These are what's gonna happen: 1. Windows Update "Working on updates" screen PC boots, shows "Undoing changes made to your computer" and starts normally. 2. On "Installing Apps" screen when you log in the first time in a user Corrupted user profile, no essential apps and the user rendered unusable. 3. PC booting Windows may display a message and you just have to boot like normal, and it will be fine.

Therefore, Windows disables running services so they don’t interfere with the setup process, which unfortunately leads to endless screens and login failures. You would either get endless welcome screen, flashing desktop/taskbar after login, or an error saying “C:\Windows\System32\config\systemprofile\Desktop is unavailable.” The fix would be to reset the setup registry keys to let Windows know the setup has already completed.
It's a shame you are ending this "series". I really liked all the episodes where you messed with stuff with my favorite being manually installing Windows. I hope you could make more videos like that as they are really fun to watch and try alone with a VM.

Happy New Year 2020! :3 its not dead, at all, use the sethc.exe trick and use it to edit registry and then u can create a user, log into in and add it to Administrators localgroup and its ready but these accounts are dead, maybe there is a way to recover them through regedit in the key (HKEY_USERS) and select the account was damaged and repair it with some keys from the other user, some keys are critical to the user u want to recover after that, be careful.
to fix no mapping between account names and security ids was done. go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon\GPExtensions\{827D319E-6EAC-11D2-A4EA-00C04F79F83A} and change extensiondebuglevel to 2 instead of 1
I managed to survive starting oobe: when I hit it endless just a moment< restarted, and after restart 'hi, we're happy your here' I logged in to defaultuser0, and I was able to log back into my account, and default user0 is still on my computer, I found a regedit hack to remove it from the lock screen, is the defaultuser0 account supposed to be on my computer?
I did this myself and instead of killing the process i restarted the vm. Now it auto logged me in as defaultuser0 with a "password" that i cant change because there is no pasword at all
It just blows me away the amount of bugs and breaking things windows has. They force these updates on us and if they don't work .... delete your files or mess something else up we are just supposed to tolerate it. That's MS business ethic I guess. if you don't know what OOBE is it's simple it's the Out-Of-Box-Experience I believe and this is what you have when you have to create a new user when you reinstall windows

I tried using the OOBE file directly from the file explorer and then shut down the computer. You know what I got? Another user named "defaultuser0" just as mentioned, but unlike getting my account destroyed, it just reverted my theme color to the default.
Anyway, why does Microsoft allow you to just access the OOBE app if it should not be re-run?
@@Wish914 In Windows XP, they did warn people before opening the system32 folder that it contains core OS files, however this was deprecated in Vista. Modern versions of Windows do warn you before opening .dll files, but not exe.
they arent allowing you, they dont expect someone to go into their system32 files and just open the msoobe file plus they give a warning to people who try opening the system32 files if im correct

Microsoft has a flawed OOBE system (the Welcome screens at the beginning of the installation process) that, if ran after installation can break the entire operative system.
it is meant to be run only once when the system first installation to initialize the default system settings such as environment variables and system registry, but running it again after it was run before makes the system go crazy
quite strange that by just starting it, it breaks the OS

I logged in to defaultuser0, and I was able to log back into my account, and default user0 is still on my computer, I found a regedit hack to remove it from the lock screen, is the defaultuser0 account supposed to be on my computer?
What is this for a start menu?

@@Wish914 In Windows XP, they did warn people before opening the system32 folder that it contains core OS files, however this was deprecated in Vista. Modern versions of Windows do warn you before opening .dll files, but not exe.
