KinetiK001 Channel Update (R.I.P. Door Stuck!?)

TL;DW for short attention spans: I I may have to make DOOR STUCK private because a copyright troll is making money off it and stole the rights. I will have to wait and see if my monetization appeal goes through.

UPDATE 7/31: It looks like "Bob Tik" has lost the rights, but I still need to get re-accepted back into the Partner program. Progress though!

YouTube might suck but your community will surely have your back. It's only been 6 minutes after this was uploaded and someone's already shared this on the CS:GO subreddit.

Don't private the video, all that will happen is the re-uploads will take over in getting searched and begin to get all the views instead. while you have the original upload, you have the control. although privating for a few weeks might bring some good publicity and might be worth trying if youtube doesn't listen, permanently privating it is just as bad as deleting it and an equal lose case for you. the troll will only go on to claim other iterations and they will all get the views instead, and he'll still be getting the money anyway. the only way this stops is youtube stops him. the views will always come in with or without your video, so you should leave it up

This Chad might lose the original door stuck vid due to an internet troll, and all the comments are not even mentioning it.

I hope you will go out of this situation with a victory. Youtube again shows to us their absolute incompetence about what is going on their own platform. Good luck!

Whatever YT is smoking must be crazy, I'm just appalled at how a copyright troll get away with this. Its crazy how they can literally let anyone just straight up say "I own this" and then they do. Same thing happened with The Fat Rat, who despite having over 41 million views on his one of his music videos, got it claimed by a complete stranger and still struggled to get his monetization back for a while because YouTube basically decided to say "Sorry it belongs to them now"

People brought up a good point, I could at least take the video private to prevent the copyright troll from being effective. But honestly that is the last resort if my last appeal fails, it's essentially the same as deleting it. We'll just have to wait and see till end of August. In the meantime they can't make money off it at least.

man, door stuck is a cornerstone of the internet. anyone older than 25 has seen it at least once, and i see references to it everywhere. it sucks you had to nuke every other video, but i get it. youtube has no choice but to enforce copyright the way they do or they lose safe harbor and would go bankrupt overnight from the lawsuits. i do miss the synthwave version of door stuck though, it was pretty great. i'm assuming that someone else owns the right to the song you used and you didn't secure a license. hopefully you can get some licensing and reupload that?

This proves just how absolutely broken and exploitable the YouTube copyright system is. The YT copyright rules dont even match up with actual United States federal copyright laws, so I could go around pretending to be Dr Dre and start claiming every MLG compilation if they include "Still D.R.E". Its a complete mess and I wish someone at YouTube actually loved this site and would try to change it for the better. Maybe instead of getting rid of dislikes because it might hurt someones fee-fee's, maybe Susan Wojiski can actually IMPROVE the site for once?
