Blind Reaction: Ponies the Anthology 1

I recommend that you don't watch the 2nd anthology until you have completed season 2.

Don't watch the second one till you're done with season two.

The green pony, Lyra Heartstrings, was another background pony like Derpy that the fandom latched onto early on, due to a scene in season . . . 1, I think? Where you can see her in the background sitting on a bench in a decidedly human fashion. It became a fandom meme that Lyra was obsessed with a long lost mythical race known as "Hoo-mans". Check out the song "Anthropology", which has several animations done for it. Although, maybe have someone vet them for you, to make sure they're spoiler free, first.

As for Lyra Heartstrings, there's a couple of fan theories about her ;) It all started from that one episode in which Lyra is sitting in a very weird way (for a pony) – she's sitting more like a Human would do ;J So the fans started to speculate that she's secretly a Human who somehow got into Equestria and got magically transformed into a pony. According to other theories, she have lost her memories from the Human World, but subconsciously she remembers some of the stuff, so she sometimes acts like a Human, and she even came up with conspiracy theories about Humans once living in Equestria ;) There are crazier theories too: e.g. that she's got a fetish about Human hands, or even that she likes to cook them up and eat them :q If you haven't seen "Ponies with Hats", I think you can watch it, it's short and spoiler-free ;) watch?v=OqAkq8v6LuQ

I like to watch the old Anthologies every so often, but it's always more fun to see a fresh reaction. There are now seven of 'em, growing longer and more epic (well, except for one of 'em, you'll see). Agree with other commenters that you shouldn't watch the next Anthology until you've completed S2 and ESPECIALLY stay away from Anthology 3 until finishing S3.

And if there's ever a reference you don't get, you can look it up on the MLP Fan Labor Wiki. It was Anthology VI that turned me on to Felix Cosgrove's "Double King," and for that alone I'll be forever grateful; I can't even remember how many things I learned about because of an Anthology.

("Double King" would make a great reaction subject, BTW)

Holy crap... I haven't seen this in so long, and it brings back a ton of memories. So many old memes! XD

It's mainly just a bunch of random bits, but it still is pretty funny and entertaining. I love this kind of thing.The other anthology videos are good, but they also get really long, so expect to be sitting down for a while. Some are practically a feature length movie.

The first one feels so... slow compared to how they are now. Still holds up relatively well though. It's been a while since I watched it.

The other Anthologies are over an hour long each except for number 4 which was cancelled, so it ended up being a promo for Bronycon.

It's mostly covers of very early MLP songs. They stopped making stuff on Youtube for a while, but they started making Them's Fighting Herds covers recently (a MLP-inspired fighting game)

You should react to some content from tridashie for some great fun and DWK for some great, more adult humor. And also only react to their content based on the current season/episode your up to date with to avoid spoilers. posiblly save them till your done season 3 to avoid any show plot points spoiled in thumbnails
