@Mael_Str0M I guess I'm technically talking to all of you, but since you asked, lemme ask you something. Do you remember the yogi bear bumpers/commercials from boomerang?
I remember I would watch Tom and Jerry on Boomerang every Saturday night. Then, in 2015, I changed it to Friday night. I would always wear my turquoise pajamas while watching. I should do it again.
Bro I'm 12 and remember watching Tom and Jerry, The Flintstones, The Jetsons, He-Man, Powerpuff Girls, Teen Titans, MAD TV, etc back in the day. Old Boomerang was like a second chance for kids born in the mid-2000s.

@Lovely Doll Time I wasn't trying to sound "high and mighty" at all. The sophomores at your school must be terrible if it leads to you calling out all sophomores in general
@Lovely Doll Time All good! When I was a freshman, the sophomores were pretty chill. You could pretty much be friends with most of the sophomores. But that's my school. Idk about your school. However, don't be worried about them. They don't have a reason to pick on you. Maybe you'll even be friends with one of them!
Lovely Doll Time When I was a freshman, the sophomores would call us freshmen with this really cheeky tone like they were above us. They weren’t bright in the slightest though lol
I heard this commercial so many times as a kid that I still have the entire thing memorized despite not hearing it in years. Not just bits and pieces of it, the entire commercial, word for word.
the voice is honestly really soothing to me. i don't remember many quotes outside of "grow-up plan!" but i do vividly remember the graph visuals that i didn't understand
"Attention parents and grandparents of young children" and "pennies a day" will always, and will forever be, the most memorable quote of my childhood. But the first line did take me back to the early to mid 2010's.
Same. All I wanted to do when I was 7 or 8 is watch some Cartoon Network or whatever, but then they play this all the time during commercial breaks. Also, I swear I remember seeing this once when I was 5 years old.
"Because Gerber Life is accepting applications for their affordable Grow-Up Plan" is probably the most memorable thing. Definitely triggers more memories than "pennies a day"
I remember when I had no cable, and I used to watch qubo. This ad would show up every single time there was an ad break. This commercial is something I will never forget.
Hey don't be ashamed yourself just being a 2000s kids
I always wanted to grow up in that decade but I only remember the last year of 2000s which is 2009 ( I was four years old at 2009) and the rest I grew up which is 2010-2018
Yes, that’s what they say in the commercial. We get it. You don’t need to quote a random commercial for likes, go back to Reddit if you want to do that.
I remember just getting under the bed, scared and shaking for some reason when I saw this as a kid. This is the best TV Commercial ever and it will always be
"ATTENTION PARENTS AND GRANDPARENTS OF YOUNG CHILDREN" , "AT NO EXTRA COST" and "FOR JUST P E N N I E S A D A Y" I just remember these and I'm not even a high schooler-
This commercial is really memorable for me as a kid here's why. The ending of the commercial scared me back in the day cause the guys voice just came out of no where I was just like 👁️👄👁️ Not to mention I was so confused on why Gerber was making a bank accounts for babies since I thought they were a baby food company. Not mention I still to this day am curious if this actually works.
Now I know why I found this woman’s voice so nostalgic I was watching those head on commercials on YouTube and I was wondering “why does this voice sound so familiar?” But now I know, I’m not sure if this is the same person but they sound similar
I remember this.. I was in kindergarten and I always sat on the couch, watched cartoons, drank chocolate milk and this commercial seemed to always play
"Don't wait! Call now for FREE information!" is the line I truly remember. Damn I really do miss watching those commercials even if they were so overly used.
I remember when I was really young watching Nickelodeon and seeing this commercial. When I saw that baby that gave me major nostalgia. I appreciate you.
@AboutHere birth certificate, full credit card information, bank account information, drivers license, passport, school records and social security number or fake
napping dog No. Say, one penny a day for a year. You will have $3.65 at the end of the year. So multiply 3.65 by 21 and you get about $76 over 21 years. However, he did say pennies, plural, so one penny a day isn’t accurate.
I always remember the chart the most tbh buy real question is wtf happened to Gerber still doing commercials? I'm assuming they are still running the company but god damn I wasn't expecting this nostalgia
Man... I remember seeing this every time I watched Toon Disney or Jetix. Sometimes I'd see this late at night after watching either Cartoon Network or Nicktoons.
Ahh yes the nostalgia just waking up in the morning (i didnt had cable so cubo was the place to go) turning on the TV to watch turbo dogs and seeing commercials like this and pillow pets and so mutch more. I would do anything just to have a day to see all of this in my TV in my room eating cereal.
This used to be on almost everyday back in the early 2000's. Anywhere you went while watching TV you'd likely run into this commercial. The most quote worthy line is probably, "For just pennies a day"
I remember asking my parents if they could do this to save up money for me to go to college. They were like, “We’re already saving money for you!” And I, being the spoiled brat I was, was like, “But it’s JUST PENNIES A DAY!!!” Now I’m not even going to college. I started a YouTube channel instead.
Just listening to this when waiting to get my hearing implants checked when I was five was awesome. I didn’t understand anything, but just watching was... interesting.
"Dont wait", "grow up plan" and "pennies a day", also I used to see this commercial on both cartoon network and nicktoons back in 2008. sighs God I miss the late 2000s so much 😔
What really hits for me is the 10000 and 20000 dollar scribbled drawing. I remember those vividly and I remember thinking I saw one with 200000 one time
I have a Gerber spoon from when I was a baby. My mom got it when I was born, since they were giving them out at the time. I also remember young me wanting to watch cartoons after school, but this commercial was always on when I got home. This commercial and the Chuck E Cheese commercials are ingrained into my brain.
Bro, it's the visuals that gives me flashbacks for me. I had memorized when I was 8 and my parents thought it was hysterical that I tried to speak in sync with the narrator
I had no idea what the gerber ad meant when I saw it as a kid, but the fact my parents weren't signed up, made me think I was going to die or have a horrible rest of my life
@Daniel T yea i figured it out and there was a highlight on pennies a day I think it was actually targeted to us as kids to tell our parents which would explain why it ran on cn and Nickelodeon
Ahh yes this brings back so many memories I remember it like yesterday, I woke up early to watch some Cartoon Network got my chocolate milk and I remember watching total drama island and this was one of the commercials
This still airs doesn’t it? I think I remember sometime this year my nephews where watching tv (on Slingtv) and this commercial aired. Or maybe its just the nostalgia hitting me super hard right now.

I just noticed that the number they read at the end doesn’t even match what’s on the screen.
There's no music. It's painfully quiet. Being a kid, you expect noise. But it's just this monotone narrator.
The baby is creepy af. It stands out from the rest of the commercial. Rather than being a shade of light green or yellow, it's dark blue, and drawn in a realistic style that just screams "Uncanny Valley ".
I keep forgetting everyday I hear that commercial but when it is one of the most horrifying things it taunts me everyday when I hear that sound.."pennies a day" I will never forget..something so haunting as this
Gerber is a company that usually makes apple sauce and baby formula for infants and toddlers. It would make sense for them to keep pushing the same exact marketing for years upon years cause it’ll stay in both kids and parents minds to always remember their “affordable grow up plan.” I heard it’s really useful for teens going into adulthood if they signed up when they were like 2 or 3 cause “pennies a day” can accumulate tremendously over many years. They can then use those “pennies a day” for college and a car or something. Sorry if this is a lengthy explanation.
This is what I’m wondering!! I’m from the generation just prior to this one, so I’m really curious if anyone got this since I was a teen / young adult when this campaign started
This reminded me of how many times I've seen the AD on TV and it got me thinking
For most people who pay attention to advertising, wouldn't repeated advertisements give us the opposite effect (as in, not wanting to purchase the product due to the constant bombardment?) The radio station I listen to frequently plays the same pool of ads during every break. While I usually tune it out, it's still annoying to hear the exact same thing multiple times throughout the entire day.
Dude the "pennies a day" and "double at no extra cost" brought me back to when I was 7 sitting on the floor waiting for commercials to end so I could watch wow wow wubzy.
There was actually another commercial like this, but it ended with a catchy tune in the words of "🎵Play, Laugh, Grow!🎵" I remember that one like it was yesterday.....
"Pennies a day!" Jeez, the good ass memories since I was 5, man, have I outgrown myself, this commercial used to come out, it was discontinued years later. Hope that line never fades away from my memories or else my life will be corrupted.
I remember this commercial was playing in the late 90s as well, so Gerber for some reason paid TV Programs enough for this to be shown every day (I believe it still occasionally shows) for over 20 years. Guess they really need the money? Also, my mom told me she had to constantly warn my grandma to not buy the plan for me because it’s apparently a scam so lmao
I remember seeing this when I was young. My parents got decent working jobs but the house was ok. We had an ant infestation in the shower and we only had 1 viable bedroom and the AC was bad, so we had to sleep in the living room during the summer nights
I remember there was a different version of this commercial that aired at night where the only difference was that the voice sounded more robotic, creeped 8 year old me out lol. I had to hide under the blanket whenever it came on.
I think I was weird as a kid... every time for some reason when I started to hear “or, you can apply...” my heart sank as I realized the commercial wasn’t gonna be over in 5 seconds
I remember watching this video wanting to be apart of the grow up plan and to get me to shut up my mom said i was too old and so i cried for like 3 days about it
“Your child can save up to 10,000 dollars!” I always said “Mom I can save 10,000 dollars!” And I don’t remember exactly what she said because back then they were huge words to me but still
I remember this, i would be watching cartoons and this would almost always pop up. Its strange to think about, but one day which i dont remember, it just vanished.
"you can call right now right over the phone if you'd like" idk why this sticks... Also the obvious, "parents and grandparents of young children" and "for just pennies a day"
I may be an early Gen Z, but I most CERTAINLY remember this ad. I remember thinking, "why are they showing this on a kids channel? I don't need to know this?"
Man, the Gerber life commercial used to and still does scare me. If I hear "attention parents and grandparents of young children" I will turn off my TV and wait until it's over💀
Pov: it's 9:43 PM Your on Nickelodeon and you see this ad your confused as a young child but you stay in your bed and continue to watch tv. Now in the future it's nostalgia
I remember me and my family chilling and watching Tom and jerry then this ad popped up and I’ve seen this about 500+ times or something those were the days
"The grow up plan" "For just just pennies a day!" "Your child can buy more" "Ten times the original amount" "Don't wait, call now for free information" FIVE THINGS LET'S GO
I remember listening to that but i didn't really care about what it said but the part of talking about 10K dollars, 20K dollars and 100K dollars made me listen
"The grow up plan gives your child 10,000 dollars in whole life insurance" is sounds of me on cartoon network and the "how many licks does it take to get to the center of a tootsie pop, Lets find out, a 1, a 2, a 3, a 4, CHOMP
I don't even know if I actually remember this or if my brain is just making up the memories of me watching Elmo and getting pissed when this long ass commercial came on
"Later on your child can buy more, up to 100,000 dollars of total protection; regardless of their health or job." 10× TIMES THE ORIGINAL AMOUNT I can't ever forget those words..
Help give your child a head start for just pennies a day. I was born in 1997 I saw this commerical over a million times. I always laughed at the funny baby face. Its mouth is a perfect circle.
Edited: but I couldn't remember the phone number. Because they said numbers that wasn't on the screen.
If you watch normal TV and not cable expect this commercial

I remember this commercial but I never understood a thing they said when I was younger, the only thing I could process was “Gerber” and the baby as a logo
Cartoon network had a goddamn monopoly on these commercials, and (at least in Washington state) those old arsenic and lead commercials. I think they were called dirt or something
I REMEMBER THIS OMG WH- I think there was a spanish version?? If not oof I got terrible memories,, but I do remember the “pennies a day” lol,, and the bars abt the money or whatever nfjfnfjfm
when i was a kid im used to loud things but this creeps me out, i dont know why but i think its the voice that is creeping me out its like let me put it this way, your stuck in a white room, but there are ways to escape it but theres only a woman robotic woman stuck with you, you tried to interact with it but it only say this. you panic and you didnt know what to do with no supplies to escape just you and your robotic fella stuck in a white room
POV: Your watching Nickelodeon, the show ends and the new one is going to start, but the boring commercials come on. You see the Gerber Life Grow Up Plan and hear "Don't wait, call now".
This and the Sherley temple commercial kept playing after every commercial break in Cartoon Network. Like cmon I’m just trying to watch gumball and regular show
Born in 2006 as well, and I remember seeing this when I was like 7 or 8 years old, although I'm pretty sure I saw it when I was even younger than that.
I Remember this Commercial, I Never knew the Gerber Lady was Ann Turner Cook until i watched a News story about a New Gerber Baby also, "Attention Parents and Grandparents of young Children"
inhale oh my god you’re not wrong, this dammed program ran every time when it was time for ads on qubo. ‘member that channel? Also i saw that video from 4 months ago telling me “you are here” and to go to sleep. Its 2:51 on a Friday.
i’m sorry but why did this commercial scare me so much, it was 100% the baby that did it “the grow up plan.” “at no extra cost!” “for just pennies a day.”
Gerber's insurance is pointless. There's no financial gain in getting child insurance unless your kid is gonna pass away soon. And the whole investment thing? You'll investment about a couple of hundred dollars in 15 years. You could make more money getting extra work over the weekend then investing on this thing.
Everyone talking about "pennies a day" but "Grow-Up plan" and the baby face were what woke my memories.

15 likesThis has been my ringtone for 1 year now

0 likesI’m only 13 and I remember this commercial fondly because my parents said I looked like the Gerber Baby when I was, well, a baby.
1 likeI could practically repeat this verbatim after watching the commercial so much back then.
6 likesThis reminded me of how many times I've seen the AD on TV and it got me thinking
0 likesFor most people who pay attention to advertising, wouldn't repeated advertisements give us the opposite effect (as in, not wanting to purchase the product due to the constant bombardment?) The radio station I listen to frequently plays the same pool of ads during every break. While I usually tune it out, it's still annoying to hear the exact same thing multiple times throughout the entire day.
That graph will never leave my memory
0 likesDude the "pennies a day" and "double at no extra cost" brought me back to when I was 7 sitting on the floor waiting for commercials to end so I could watch wow wow wubzy.

You'll investment about a couple of hundred dollars in 15 years. You could make more money getting extra work over the weekend then investing on this thing.
