I use cloudflare on my Android. Not the app, actually enabled and changed it in the settings/connection tab. Not sure how much protection/privacy it gives me, but I'm sure it's better than the default for T-Mobile or Comcast (on WiFi). Sadly it doesn't play well with all my apps, some require default settings and not a alternative DNS.
But most router/firewalls don't support DNS over https so if your using your firewall DNS will still be leaking, and just changing dns does not prevent sniffing of DNS as its unencrypted
If you want some fun with dns lookup dns tunnelling
Iām gonna repeat just what he said without giving my own take on it. Pretty much using Tor will hide your IP Address from your ISP but your ISP will still see the IP Addresses of the websites that you visit.
Tor will tunnel all you network packets through multiple nodes. All your ISP will see is the IP address of the first node in the chain, the guard node and the encrypted traffic, however this is, for the most part, useless to the ISP
Why, that doesnt help your privacy at all. Not to mention unless you are a professional or training to become one, you have no reason to do it. Also what websites just let you do that in 2020 š how about learning to code instead?

I've been using open dns for parental control for a few years now. I know it's easy to defeat but it's something lol.
