This is my childhood, I started to listen to this since I was 7, finally found it ...🌙

The nostalgia is real.
I wasn't even sure whether I remembered this song until that horn started in, and then I just KNEW every note before it arrived, carrying all the grandeur and tragedy of Nightmare Moon.

This was the very first piece I heard by you, Psychgoth. You'll always be one of my favorite brony musicians :)

Imagine Luna walking through a forest in the fall with leaves flying all around at 0:26 its beautiful.

I love how you managed to capture the 'grandness' of an orchestra, especially with the choir! One question, what program or VST did you make this with?

Ah, once again you did a great job and also gave me goosebumps, this is beautiful music....

Many ponies came forward to stand before those they had once called friends and family. They tried reasoning with their loved ones, yet their eyes were shadowed from the truth. Even the beloved Princess Luna had been deceived by those she held counsal with, yet again turning from the sister that had always shown her love and devotion. "Sister, why must you go down this path again, wasn't once enough," Celestia asked with tears in her eyes. "Because sister, I must," Luna answered coldly.

It needs to be about 20% longer. But it is still fantastic!

I am deciding to take the Music Composition class at my school now, this fan music has influenced me in many ways.

@psychgoth - Very nicely arranged with good use of choir and brass for that epic, dark sound. Could use a little more bass drum.

Also, you should see my later stuff, this piece had no EQing, panning, or anything of the sort. Plus my latest piece is gonna have vocals. ^^

@megatfreak Your stuff is just as well written as mine c: The only difference is I use a better sequencer with an array of good to great to freaking unbelievable soundfonts. I'm still not pro though, the best use professionally recorded samples which cost anywhere from $400 to thousands of dollars. As for your question, I use Fruity loops 9 and make liberal use of it's "Fruity Soundfont player" c:

@Digimastertwo If you wanna go this detailed in philosophy, you could aswell just say that light and darkness is the same because basicaly there is no real difference, everything is somehow connected into one single thing. But MLP:FiM doesent go this far. Celestia is the demi-god if light, while Luna is the demi-god of darkness. This is what the first two episodes were all about. This is how things were set from the very beginning.

@Digimastertwo indeed. They are powerful, but not as powerful as to control light or darkness. These two elements are the grandest of all. Whoever or whatever created equestria and the royal sisters must be the only thing that has the power over these two elements

@psychgoth you're too modest, and you're remastering them right? And it's "large" by high school drama program standards, small by theatre company standards. Those three early works are more for story transitions; like incidental music, but more influential to the movement of the dancers. But, I'm not planning on showing HER those just yet. I'm pitching the idea with a few of the main events songs like Luna's Fury. I'm think people will be on the edge of their seats for Luna's Fury.

@NeroTheDarklord Actually, if you want to take the "literally what they said" approach, Celestia is the Sun and Day demi-goddess, and Luna is the Moon and Night demi-goddess. Light and Dark don't come into play specifically.

@SandJosieph Wow, I need to check my comments more often, I have solved the problem with the bass drum in the piece I'm about to upload called "The Carnival Master" I used a drum kit's bass drum with an orchestral bass drum over it to get more bang. The piece was inspired by CarnEvil's music :3

@RedStoneFox *SPOILER ALERT FOR LUNA GAMERS* After a minute or two, the music in the background will start to slow down, then speed up, then slow down and then BAM, PINKIE PIE IN YO FACE, GADDAMMIT. After the screamer, the game has now a red tinge to it and you might hear some disturbing music. You will continue to walk down the path until you see a huge hole. Jump in it and the distorted picture from 0:50 appears five seconds or so after you jump in. Hope I was helpful~

@T3echUL3ss0n I made this with Fruity Loops 8 and I didn't use any VSTs, I used soundfonts lol.

@Meety2000 See that's the thing though, this type of song is NOT good for video games. If you notice, I made the pictures fit to the song (sorta) which implies that it's underscore for something or other wise used to represent a story. Video game music either provides mood or focus for the game play.

@NeroTheDarklord Night is not darkness. Night had the moon, the stars, the fireflies, the various plants and fungi that give their own weak light. Day is not light. Day had the darkest and harshest of shadows, it interrupted by shades of darkness. Day and Night are for more nuanced than simple light and dark.

@UserWithoutAnyName Presumably being reminded of the time your sister was consumed by a monster formed of rage and resentment that then tried to plunge the world into an eternal night, and then being forced to banish said monster with one's sister within to solitude on the moon for a millenia, then having to desperately gamble everything on one treasured pupil managing to save her, is a *bit* unpleasant, however epic and awesome (Epawesome?) the song is. Because it is.

It's rather sad to see the contrast between 0:36 and 0:46 pictures.

Hmmm... I do like this theme but I think you could go more quietly on the trumpets and build up to the end. It's just a minor nitpick, which I think might make it better but that's all it really is.
