The best thing is that some people will watch this because they are genuinely interested in the specific model of glasses, and have no idea who this guy is lolol.
I can appreciate things like this though, classic spectacles, watches, cigarette cases, double edge razors and the like. Class.
The glasses seems really nice and I really love the idea that anyone can get the horror icon glasses, neat. Also the unboxing felt genuine (like when u struggled with the box) and I will be looking into some Oliver frames someday, though I do tend to be more rough with my glasses so if you could recommend some glasses that can handle it!
Well that really does depend. Some argue that thin titanium frames could be more durable than your standard cellulose acetate frames or plastic frames because they can handle being bent and whatnot. It's really down to personal preference.
I see this show up in my subscriptions...think about it for a while...notice the username...oh yeah, that guy. Thanks, Whang. Would have been a good video from any normal unboxer or luxury goods reviewer, but I appreciate the American Psycho tie-in even more considering the uploader.
''Danish Psycho unboxes American Psycho Glasses, detailed review, background, and organic chemistry in manufacturing'' for real tho this was very enjoyable and informative to watch, thank you.
Hello, Great looking pair of glasses. Well done. Would you happen to know anything about the sun clip? I ordered a pair of Bateman's as well and the clip looks handy. Thank you.
Hey just curious, I know this will be different for everyone but how does the 47mm lens width option fit your face? These frames seem to run on the smaller side, so even though I have an average sized face I also ordered the 47mm ones and I'm waiting for them to arrive... but now I'm starting to think I should've went with the 45mm option instead
@PCJPguy haha hey man just writing to say that they arrived (47mm) and that theyre great.. fit me like a glove. im guessing that 47mm is the mens size and 45mm is the ladies size. great craftsmanship, really high quality. my only complaint is that i think theyre a tiny bit darker than the ones patrick bateman wears (i got 1011 raintree) but not by a huge amount. they're semi-matte exactly like the ones he wore
Impressive. Very nice. Fun story: I've been wondering what to get my friend as a gift for a special ocassion, but now you might have just given me the answer lol. Cheers! Btw is the /thing/ still buried in its place or did you finally get rid of it lmfao
Are your glasses stiff when you bend them? I bought one pair of O’Malleys and they feel like they were broken in some point. Is there any chance that you could possibly show how your glasses bend?
Hello! I just bought the O’Malley but my make is the OV5256 and not the OV5183. Do you know what the difference is? Mine also say they are sirs?? 🤷🏽♂️
Best part is that you seem to be that kind of content creator i most like, doesn't appear a lot, but always come back with something fascinating to watch. Already a subscriber.
Need a link i am not perceptive enough at the moment to determine the colorway (sneaker term best i could think of) from the oliver peoples website. Very much appreciated and highly admire your works.
Cut AWAY from yourself homie! Whole time you had a knife in your hand I was waiting for you to stab / slice yourself by accident. Stressful as fuck, but good unboxing otherwise.
I've actually done a bit more research on that as well. And it actually appears that the Oliver People's used on American Psycho are a bit more "glossy" than mate. Therefore I believe, although not sure, that it's actually the O'Malley "Raintree" with a colour code of 1011.
@PCJPguy Look too I'm passionate about the style and I'm starting to think it's a discontinued color, the company on Instagram says that Bale used the color 382 but I took it and it has nothing to do with it I would say
@Gianmarco Gavioli That's very interesting. I just made some searches and it's true the O'Malley 382 doesn't look like the glasses at all on their website. But the real life pictures of the glasses actually look very much like the ones used in American Psycho. Feel free to contact me if you've got some more information.
@Gianmarco Gavioli I'm not entirely sure. I have a friend who's tried contacting the woman who was head of the wardrobe and prop department on the set of American Psycho but unfortunately she hasn't responded back yet. But I think it's either a discontinued colour model or the 382 or Raintree.
Great! I hope you are able to have certain information! the 382 I ordered and returned because it is really different in color, the matte model you present differs only because it is not shiny but I think it is very close. I've never seen the Raintree.
@Gianmarco Gavioli Ahh yes of course. I wasn't sure about Raintree at first, but it looks very different in real life than on the product pictures online. They also looked quite similar.
@Bruce Willis von Hinten It's a tough question to answer, because in the movie the glasses appear to be a bit more on the glossy side, whereas these are more Matte. But there really isn't any way to be completely sure which is most screen accurate.
@PCJPguy I just did my own digging and an online eyewear store in the uk claims it is the 1011 rain tree. It also looks much closer in my opinion to up close shots in the movie. Hope this helps!
@Reid Bentsen I just received a pair of the O’Malley in Raintree and while I think they are close to the color of the ones from the film, they are a bit lighter, more tan than tortoise shell. I actually think that the color is closer to the semi-matte mahogany, but if they came in gloss. I don’t think the exact color exists in the current lineup, although I have not seen the 382 in person.
@Big Mathis De passer helt fantastisk. Bestilte dem i størrelse 47 istedet for 45. Men du skal nok også regne med at der kommer told oven i hvis de skal sendes til Skandinavien.
this man did one of the most ludicrous things the internet has ever seen and then went on to produce the most normal content imaginable.

These are 47mm. They definitely look better in my opinion, as the other ones tend to look too small.
