The seventh wave brought Melanie back to the bottom of the UK charts in 1983, when “Every Breath of the Way” was a minor hit. He also announced a short-lived revival of her Neighborhood label. Like most albums, “Every Breath” is a rock & roll with three chords. Although fine players were involved - John Guerin, Jeff Porcaro and Dean Parks - Seventh Wave sounded cheap and uninspired, an impression not helped by its gloomy, monochrome cover showing .... Er .... wave. Melanie’s pre-adolescent daughters Leilah and Jeordie provided a squeaky backing vocals on the song “Lovin’ the Boy Next Door ”- which is at least proof that Melanie’s melodic blade didn’t go on permanent rest - and a brief respite from the monotonous blurring of the rest of the album.
This is the first female vocal album I bought. It was as you have confirmed in your very detailed right up 1984.Thanks for putting this on YouTube. It has brought back memories, of every kind.

Kao i većina albuma, "Every Breath" je rock & roll s tri akorda. Iako su bili uključeni fini igrači - John Guerin, Jeff Porcaro i Dean Parks - Sedmi val zvučao je jeftino i neinspirirani, dojam kojem nije pomogla njegova sumorna, jednobojna naslovnica koja prikazuje.... Er.... val. Melanienepred-adolescentske kćeri Leilah i Jeordie pružile su k škripav prateći vokal na pjesmi "Lovin' the Boy Next Door" -- što je barem dokaz da Melanienamelodična oštrica nije otišla na trajni odmor -- i kratak predah od monotonog zamućenja ostatka albuma.

@ladislav zivanovic Thank u for recording it. To me those 2 back to back albums, including Am I Real or What, the best, were a delightful surprise after her long hiatus. They reflected the new 80's sound of course, not far removed from disco, but still Melanie's style was evident.
