Can you make a video on Celestia’s Smile? In season 7, A Royal Problem, before Starlight switched the princess’s cutie marks, Celestia says that she still managed to keep a smile on her face while doing her job in the morning, meeting guests and other people. Does that mean Celestia is faking a smile? I really want to hear what you think about this because I can think of reasons in both ways.

The fact that this played out like an episode of a meta-spinoff MLP:FiM series makes me love this even more!!!

I think the statues in the chaos realm would be even crueler due to the presumed eldritch horrors there that the villains would see.

I guess my idea of how it works is that the spell will eventually be broken by somepony. And to answer the question of are they asleep or awake, I would say in the middle they're in that state of consciousness where they're now completely awake but not completely asleep. So, they would have a vague semi understanding of what's happening around them and when it does break they will still be very angry.

But this is just what I think.

Honestly I’ve always liked the reforming of villians like starlight and discord more than “turn to stone or Rainbow Blast Of Friendship.” Bs. I know Chrysalis had the chance to be regormed and rejected it, but I’m a person that believes that everyone deserves a second chance no matter how bad they are, they just need kindness in order to change.

I wouldn’t say their dead, but Discord did say that “ Being turned to stone doesn’t keep me from hearing.” But he never mentioned that he can see. So they must be asleep but they are alive, but they might be more angry because their planned failed, though it wouldn’t be infinite

I’d say that they should be conscious in their stone imprisonment. Discord has mentioned himself that he could still hear and sense everything around him while petrified, though he only seemed annoyed by this. He also speaks of his distaste for turning people to stone in a way that implies that his own petrification and that of the elements aren’t that different. You have mentioned that it was visually Discord’s power that petrified the Mean 3 in another video.

I am suddenly interested in seeing how you'll reform them if given the chance! I liked that the show gave us those unreformed villains but everyone has a soft side. Itd be fun seeing how you reform them in particular!

If a changling have the capability to commit these actions so easily, and when reformed, they should be under very high surveillance. It isn’t about their power, or strength, but their ability to perfectly mimic or deceive others. Other races would be easily caught when doing these actions, but changlings would be a very hard race to capture because not only can they mimic other ponies, but they can mimic inanimate objects too. This can also explain why so many ponies are paranoid and afraid of changlings when they weren’t reformed.

I wonder how Equestria could deal with such dangerous creatures like that.

It was a good idea to keep the villains in a place more secure than the royal garden. I wonder why the princesses never thought of that with Discord. Isn't it kind of odd and insensitive to use your enemy's frozen body as a lawn ornament? Maybe someone convinced them to put statue-Discord on display after his defeat to assure their subjects that he wouldn't cause any more trouble. Still, it would have been practical to move him to an actual cell or some secure location soon after. Did Celestia leave Discord unguarded in the garden on purpose? I wonder if she does have some foresight like a few people have theorized…
Did the show ever explain what the Talisman of Mirage does? I don't think anyone talked about it in "A Matter of Principals", and I haven't heard any mention of it having stone powers outside of this video. Where did that idea come from?

Honestly, for a lot of Season 9, I thought that Chrysalis, Tirek, and Cozy would reform themselves through their friendship with each other. It looked to me like they started to become friends, and I think if the Main Six had let it play out, their friendship would have been enough to change them. Kind of like how it changed the majority of the changeling population. (Although I did read an adorable fanfic about Twilight feeling bad for Cozy, releasing her, and then raising her as her own, so I would be good with that theory too)

Maybe all of the villains were good at one point like Luna. Maybe celestia and luna got in the way of their rule cause they thought it was right...but made enemies due to it

I was very disappointed when they turned them to stone, unless it’s forever and they aren’t aware of their surroundings (which personally I doubt) they just pushed it down the road for the future generations to deal with. I was hoping they would’ve reformed them, that would’ve been a really good ending if you ask me. Also there’s Sombra who already has a history of breaking out of wherever he’s sent to, it’s just a temporary solution which usually wouldn’t end well, and just like you said, they’re most likely going to be even angrier than when they were turned to stone, a group of creature(s) that disagreed with their method and freed them would be AMAZING. Loved the video, another theory of yours I completely agree with :)

Ehhh I’m not sure I’m with you on this. I mean the three made it pretty damn clear that they were not interested in even humoring the idea of reforming when they got the bell from the mountain.
If they simply will not change, then imprisonment is the only outcome that can keep Equestria safe. That’s on them.

How angry a villain was after being imprisoned for a thousand years, depends on the villain itself. Some might be patient or some might be angrier than ever. If one of them was patient, they might stop and listen to everything around them and device a plan if/when/once they're free. Ofc, while they are patient, they might be impatient when their plan is almost complete after going according to plan.

I enjoyed the skit approach to presenting a number of mini theories. It was very entertaining and easy to understand.

I feel like they will eventually return to normal just as the elements of harmonies power faded aiding in the escape of both nightmare moon and discord so give them a couple of thousands of years and they will return because the elements of harmony are stronger than the princesses and discord because it makes sense as they don't represent the elements anymore/currently weather they are conscious or unconscious that really all does depend cozy would more than likely be unconscious she's a filly tirek could be either way and chrysalis I'd say is conscious just based on her attack like pose

Fun video. And your theory on this is quite interesting. But I don't think reforming three villains would not be that easy.

If you did release the villains, release the child first.
At less you successfully tested your theory to see if their asleep or awake and Cozy Glow is much more easier to handle.
For Chrysalis and Tirek, leave them frozen a little while longer. And maybe unfreeze them one at a time.
Just so you try to successfully reform them. Doing it one at a time is smarter then trying it all at once.

Your matrix is missing a couple alternatives:
Time: semi-permanent, that is permanent in a vacuum but can be unintentionally reversed
State: partially conscious but only semi-aware. Think a light dream like state.
The intersection of being freed anywhere from the day the statue is no longer kept away from every being and three thousand years from that point with or without intent and that period being filled with a forced introspective laced with vague impressions of what transpires around them without any real sense of time could prove.... interesting.
Not as certain to have an anger amplifying effect, but surely would not leave them unchanged while the uncertainty of their release means that if action is not taken it is impossible to know when or who let alone the local stability. But... with the possibility of their focused rage dissipating acting too soon has its own set of issues.....
Another state possibility, more of a sub-state really, is if they can communicate with each other.... building anger and the only ones they can take it out on is each other?

personally i think chrysalis won't be hungry if/when she comes out, think about it, she never mentions being hungry after the changelings are reformed, and no changlings die of starvation, even though they're always hungry, maybe they unconsciously, eat the excess love of equestrias citizens, so that there isn't an explosion of love, and extra power that could potentially be used for evil, with chrysalis not sharing all the excess love with her hive, maybe shes constantly satisfied, it would explain why she didnt really seem busy collecting love in the time after the majority of changlings were reformed, because she didn't need, anyways thats just a theory.

I suppose it's possible that Twilight could be trying to figure out a good way to release the villains. You would need a magic source powerful enough to do it, but even then, could you also localize it so that only one of the three is released at a time so that you can work on them separately? Exactly what are their motivations? What drives these characters to desire power? What are their ultimate goals?
With Tirek, he would just absorb all the magic, but then what? He becomes ruler, but he'd effectively become ruler of nothing because all the ponies become too weak to physically do anything, the wasteland future we see at the end of Season 5 is most likely what will happen. Cozyglow would run a tyrannical dictatorship I guess, that can only last so long if the people can amass a power that can defeat whatever magic she acquires. At the same time, a revolt is a revolt, she can only fight off so many people for so long. Chrysalis had her people turn against her, with some assistance from outsiders, but it was really more of their own volition in the end since Thorax led the charge and convinced them to change their ways.
Unless there is a pocket of changelings out there that would follow her, or if she can make more changelings on her own (why wouldn't she have done that yet if she could?), Chrysalis is completely alone so long as she chooses to be that way. She's the best candidate for a first trial. She needs mental help given that she talks to inanimate objects on a deeper level than most people, but she also needs to be willing to seek treatment. She actively turned away from friendship, but now that she has nobody, it's only going to harm her more and more. She seems like someone that can be helped. I think it's possible to find friends for her that may be a little edgier, similar to Starlight and Trixie (obviously not those two, not right away at least); I suggest friends like Ember, Tempest Shadow (If she still goes by that name), and a Griffon. Find people that can be tough and back themselves up if need be, but also can help guide her path.
From there, it's Cozyglow. She's a clever and crafty kid, but she is also still just a kid. Who knows where she got her ideas, but she's far more evil than Chrysalis in my opinion, and more dangerous considering she went to the School of Friendship to learn how to counteract the Magic of Friendship. Chrysalis may be a changeling, but on her own, her greatest scheme was to make evil clones of the Mane 6 and failed spectacularly, she needs a group to be effective, but Cozyglow was by herself when she knocked out the powergrid of magic across Equestria. Outside of her being a kid, I don't know how else to help her but to just let her grow up, except that potentially makes her more dangerous, so you would have to be treating her as she grows up.
That leaves Tirek, and honestly, I don't know what to do. He clearly has some sort of issue with his father, who is potentially dead, his brother may still be alive, but we never saw him in the show, he outright refused to deal with ponies or anyone else in the world, he's been imprisoned basically forever, and anytime he's gotten out, he's only ever wanted revenge. There is no amount of forgiveness that can be given to him that he won't just use as a way to get back at the world when it doesn't seem like anything the world did was wrong... aside from probably eternal imprisonment, but like, if he just wants to kill everything and you you have the moral complex of not killing, then what else can you do? Honestly, you'd be better off getting one of those petrifying balls, if there were anymore after the Storm Kings forces were disassembled, and then pushing his body off a cliff. (This is assuming that you couldn't just do so with him already being turned to stone as is.) Morally, depending on where you lean, it's not the right thing to do, but logically, it makes sense. The other two, you could potentially work with, and even if they were untreatable, in theory they would eventually age and die unless Chrysalis can extend her life eternally by absorbing love from anywhere close to her, but Tirek would take too long to just naturally die. He lived in Tartarus for 1000 years, surviving on what little food he was given, and who knows what happens when he absorbs magic how much that sets his clock back. Can he be saved, in theory, it's not impossible, but the more likely scenario is that he wouldn't turn from his ways, and you can't spare the entire population every time he decides to act.
So that's what I think. Maybe there's no way to release them just yet. At least not a smart way. Everything needs to be planned out, from the beginning to the end of the process, and this whole thing I've written is barely even a start.

Not going to lie... I love the colors and design you choose for your changeling. Make your changeling o.c female, and I would totally ask if I could have it. I'm not asking now, but it's... well, it's beautiful, awesome, and cool.

Just use actual #RehabilitativeJustice & depetrify them, put them in prison for life & have various counsellors talk to them daily; which is what should've been done with Tirek & Cozy Glow in the 1st place.
Even if they don't reform, whatever's learned from couselling them can be used in dealing with others initially displaying criminal behaviour.

hey okay so this is a question that's been bugging me for ages and i'm hoping you'd get around to answering it; how many years into the future was season 9 episode 26? luster dawn describes the events of mlp as "soooo long ago" and since then this question has been on my mind for ages.

There is always a chance that the villains are repentant or semi-repentant after their escape from stone.

That's pretty good idea, but you don't want to release them all at once,because if you release all of them all at once, they can escape before you even have the chance to reform them, but if you release them one at a time one gets away you can still reform the others

I'm a little mixed in trying to reform them. All three have tried to kill ponies multiple times and if we bring the comics into the equation Chrysalis pretty much committed genocide for her own selfish gain. Kind of hard to justify reforming them.

Cozy on the other hand is a kid (as far as we know) and still has a chance to change. I do think she should have been punished, because like i said she nearly killed Starlight and the student six in season 8 and the mane six, spike, and who knows how many ponies with the wedigoes running around them, but being in jail or something than being turned into stone. Though the show has shown that she is smart enough to know what she was doing and being aware of them.

I believe the spell will not last eternally, but might very well last 2000 years (1000 years for the princesses, plus 1000 years for Discord, whose power is almost equal to that of the Elements). And yet, I don't think the three will remained imprisoned for so long. Twilight is not stupid, and she has seen that even Discord could be reformed given the right environment. I think she plans on releasing them one by one, to reform them slowly but surely. This first demonstration of power was meant to show the three villains that they can't do anything to seize power, whatever they try, in order to open the door to another way of life. The petrification acts there both as a carrot and a stick. If you're bad, then you're stone. If you're good, you get to walk around. It did pretty well with Discord (though the influence of Fluttershy is undeniable). The order of freeing would be, in my opinion, Chrysalis, Cosy, then the centaur. Chrysalys has a whole people to influence her. Then Cosy, manipulative brat, might want to see that even her companion changed for the better to start acting for the greater good. And finally, Tirek. I don't even know if it is possible that he changes his mind. I believe he will end reimprisoned in stone every few years.

They are probably conscious under the stone. But I don't think the stone preserves their life at all. Discord is likely immortal. But cozy glow probably died already. As for the other two, they are probably still alive. But the evidence of the spell just wearing off on it's own is very little. Discord escaped when the cutiemark crusaders fought near him. That fight gave him enough of a boost in magic to escape. So even if we assume that the method of escape is easy with enough magic, tirek can only obtain magic by directly stealing it. Which he obviously can't do. Chrysalis gains power from others love. But can she steal it passively or is it only manually? If it is passive, than worst case scenario two ponies (or any other creature I suppose) kiss near the statue and she escapes. But let's be fair. Chrysalis is the smallest threat of the three by herself. She can't do much on her own.

Also i think Dischord "Hearing" is part and part to his nature. I think he has expanded senses or abit like the Joker were he is Supersane, knowing who he is, what his role is and he a funny character which he finds funny and goes along with it.

It would be great to see a fanficon a group of changelings or whatever creatures want to cause destruction or what motive to try and free the 3 and it'd be great that they would have the control even after freeing them after just seeing them betray Discord.

I'd be down with them being released, as long as they were all kept completely separate afterwards so they couldn't team up again.

Well here's my Reasonable/ Logical Conclusion of what Sentence should be suitable for this Monster's Society of Evil Trio:
- Tirek: since it all started with his brother and their schemes as well as their betrayal, it's best to Exile him to his homeland and let his family deal with his actions.
-Cozy Glow: like everyone has said she is still a child and she should be treated as such so a probation under a watchful militant family or a royal family and to help her reform through her teenage years and earn her trust back after Equestria from her young crimes ( the perfect test for Flurryheart!)
- Chrysalis: ... 😤😡 honestly she either stays a statue Forever; the Mane 6 and starlight glimmer try to redeem her with her changelings as support; Or (My Vote) for her numerous crimes and irredeemable actions multiple times as the 'Enemy of Equestria' , her treason to her own people, squandered the one chance she had to redeem herself and continue to plot in the shadows, as well as her conviction and never stopping to harm Equestria in any way with no signs of stopping. I'm afraid we must consider that she is one villain that's too dangerous to be kept imprisoned or unchecked; her actions continues to get worse over time as well as desperate and proving herself she is beyond Redemption; and since every pony (including the fandom) thinks she is the Best Villain then you wish will be granted as we give her the worst punishment for her crimes such as sharing the same fate as King Sombra! Shattered by the Forbidden Execution of Order 65!

If you can orchestrate a very controlled and specific release for each of the villains so that you don't have to deal with all three of them at the same time. then go right ahead but if you can't then you need more preparation than what you were orchestrating in this video. For instance every single content creator of the secret, the pillars of Harmony, the elements of Harmony, the students of Harmony, a matured flurry heart, Celestia, Luna, discord, and have the bell of Grogar on hand just in case things go sideways in the worst possible way.

I have a theory, if discord was free from the statue because of the cmc fighting that caused chaos and he brings chaos. So maybe for tirek he could be free by someone losing magic near him or something he could be free.

the thing is, the reason discord was able to hear everything going on because he was discord. discord is way more powerful than we give him credit for, since he did almost kill the tree of harmony and twilight at the same time while trapping the royal sisters without any help and in the blink of an eye. Crysalis, cozy glow, and tirek don't have that type of magic where they have the authority to turn everything into chaos with just one snap.

Maybe the villains are stone forever because it has the power of the princesses, discord and the giant rainbow beam created by the pillars, the mane 6 and the the young 6,making it a lot more powerful then just the princesses and the elements.Also the elements acted more like figures then the actually magic of friendship.

This all makes sense now. (Is her parents dead?) so I have done some research and cozy glow turned to a bad filly because she was sad because maybe her parents abandoned her or she got lost. And she moved and she got so mad she wanted to destroy the school of friendship and rule the world to find her parents and get revenge at them. Or she went to that school to learn about friendship and become a powerful friend because in the last episode she wanted destroyed the school. But then they said well if your going to say that friendship and not magic and it’s power I’m not going to be your friend then. But I think I know what happening here. What if it’s not actually cozy glow 😱 WHAT IF ITS A CHANGLING! She was so kind in the other episodes. So I strongly agree that it’s a changling and she is sent to the hive.

You forgot another option. If they are awake in stone they could get tired of being angry. I imagine that 1000 years in stone you might forget why you were angry in the first place. Also you might be overly nice after being set free. Thankfull that you are finally able to move,

The main issue with your argument is that you're not taking the scale of their crimes into account.

Exhibit A, Tirek: Consider this. What would've happened if Twilight didn't wasn't given that key to the box when she did? Equestria would've been destroyed. I suppose you could make the argument that he kept his word in freeing Twilight's friends. But if they didn't have a way to defeat Tirek, if they didn't gain their Rainbow Powers, what good would that have done? Tirek had absorbed the powers of all the pegasi, earth ponies, and unicorns, as well as all four princesses, and even Discord. Nobody would be able to fight him, not only because he's super powered, but also because nobody had any power to fight back with. Tirek released Twilight's friends simply because he believed it would make no difference either way. It was luck that Twilight got the final key. Unless Scorpan is able to grow a backbone, stand up to his brother, and somehow convince him to change his ways, Tirek will always be unrepentantly evil and a dangerous threat.

With Tirek, I suppose you could argue that his strength was sapped from him. But that doesn't change the fact that his ability to absorb magic (I presume) has not been taken away. And as long as he's unrepentant and can still absorb magic, he will always be a danger. So he'd have to be sent back to Tartarus.

Exhibit B, Cozy Glow: I keep hearing the argument that she's just a kid. My counter argument is that Lex Luthor is just a human, so Superman should have no trouble dealing with him. Cozy Glow may be a kid, but she's no less dangerous for it. There's enough evidence to suggest that she's also unrepentantly evil. For starters, she was pen pals with Tirek. I find it highly unlikely that she didn't know who he actually was. And considering that he stole everyone's magic at one point (which would include her), why would she want to be pen pals with him anyway? I see two possibilities. Either she saw what Tirek did and saw an opportunity, or Tirek chose not to take her magic specifically. If it's the latter, there's potential for repentance. But I find it unlikely, seeing as you'd have to ask why he'd let her go, and it's suggested that Tirek only knew her as a pen pal. If it's the former however, she was evil from the start. She got advice from Tirek, including using those objects to steal magic from Equestria. She stole magic, let the Mane 6 get trapped in Tartarus without a way out, and would've let 6 students get sucked into the void. And it was all for petty childish reasons. She wanted power by having the most friends. Imagine how much more dangerous she could become as an adult.

I suppose you could make the argument that when her strength was sapped from her, she was just a normal filly again. But the actions that led to her getting sent to Tartarus were the actions of a normal filly with no power ups. And other than Tirek's guidance, Cozy Glow was able to do that all on her own.

Finally, Exhibit C, Chrysalis: Let's see... Impersonated a princess and attempted to infiltrate Canterlot. If she were willing to repent, I'd grant it. But then she had all of the princesses impersonated and replaced, as well as anyone near them, and attempted to have all of Equestria and the Crystal Empire infiltrated. That's two attacks within just a few years. And despite the face that she saw that there was another way for changelings to live, and she was offered that chance, she turned it down. Chrysalis is also unrepentantly evil. She also made a third attempted with the Mean 6, but that was a failed attempt. But it also makes her the villain with the most attempts.

With Chrysalis, there's no option other than to keep her in stone. When her strength was sapped, she's still far too strong, since her base form is the strongest out of the three.

I could however offer an alternative, which is a feasible option. What if they were put into a dream state? If they are still aware, then putting their minds into a dream state would allow them to believe that their attack on Equestria was successful. And even if they knew it was a dream, at least they wouldn't have to just exist stuck in stone.

I think Cozy Glow still has a chance for redemption. The other two are far long gone for it. Discord was able to reform because he wasn’t entirely evil given the version of Equestria Twilight saw in The Cutie Re-Mark. In this alternate Equestria, Celestial and Luna were being humiliated and chaos was happening constantly but the environment was still mostly intact and not being put under any type of change that would bring total destruction. The world needs chaos to keep everything balanced. Cozy is still a child and children can change if someone gives them guidance. Children aren’t good or evil and don’t typically become one or the other until they are a teenager. Chrysalis is too selfish and self-absorbed to be reformed. She only wants to be the Hive’s Queen again just for her own ego and not for the best interest of her species. Tirek wants to rule with fear and and iron fist and he can’t reform because he rejects any type of friendship. Cozy understands that you need friends but she has the wrong idea about them and thus she can change her viewpoint if some other Ponies help guide her.

If it's possible to release only one at a time, I would begin with Chrysalis.

Well the Stone Prison is more likely to be permanent. Celestia once said "Since me and Luna are no longer connected to the Elements of Harmony He was able to escape" But Celestia,Luna,and Discord are immortals. So as long as those 3 are alive the villains can't be released, but it would suck if they are aware while in stone.

What if the elements as generated by every creature present had reformed Cozy Glow by fixing whatever was wrong with her and Discord had Celestia and Luna freeze a child in stone who was no longer evil?

I think they can still hear when being turned into stone. Not just because Discord said that when he was turned into stone he could still hear, but also because after Luna, Celestia and Discord turned them into stone, Discord said "together forever. I can't think of anything else they would want less" implying that they are conscience in some way when being turned into stone.

I just thought of something, so let's say that the stone statue state is temporary, and that they are unconscious (the best case scenario according to sawtooth) then assuming that the spell lasts for, let's say a thousand years then that raises three questions that i can think of:

Firstly: how confused would they be once they finally get out of the stone state that they're in, after all, alot of things can change in a thousand years and that level of confusion would probably result in a more intense resentment towards all of equestria.

Secondly: can they still think while being in this unconscious stone statue, because if they can, they could plot their revenge individually, potentially resulting in countless plans to destroy all of equestria, even if they have no awareness of what's happening around them until they are free of there stone statue state.

Thirdly: how likely is it for their abilities to be completely forgotten over such a long period of time, shure Cozy Glow is just a manipulative pegasus filly, so no need to be worried abaut her abilities being forgotten, but what about crystalis and tierck, shure shapeshifting is not gonna be forgotten as long as changelings are around, but draining love and magic, worst case scenario, both of those abilities become forgotten in time, and if that happens, the result could literally become a series of battles where two of the villains have abilities whith no known countermeasurements, furthermore if crystalis can somehow get an entire changeling hive up and running again, could become a war on a massive scale.

I would LOVE to see Chrysalis reformed, but I doubt she will after all the time she had to do so. Cozy is a power-obsessed child, making it likely she'll grow out of her ways, but then again I doubt she will considering how manipulative she is. Tirek has no hope at all. He started out craving all the power, got locked away for thousands of years, broke free, and starting devouring power again, only to get locked up again, and still, he only craved the power.

So, short answer, no to any of them, as much as I wanna see Chrysalis reformed.

You know what makes me feel bad about cosy if her tirek and chrysalises are alive in that stone, she's only a child, which means she's got growing to do. After a few years, that's gonna be worse than death. All cramped up in a stone prison.

The best way to answer the stone question would be DIscord. He was turned to stone not once but twice I believe. He has the best experiance. But anyways, I have brainstormed how to beat Twilight and yes while she is smart she has Dratically overestimated her own ablities. Heres how you can find the statue and free CHrissy AND not have to worry about Twi finding out. OK I hope your ready cause your going to need a few more artifacts.
First you need the memory stone (This is critcal in makig sure you succeed.) Then you steal the Truth Talisman of Tonatiuh. Use the memory stone on Ahuizotl if needed. Then get the talismen on Twilight and force her to tell you where the villain statue is. USe the memory stone to erase Twi mind (THIS IS CRITICAL.)
Then once you have found the statue and brought it someplace safe use Mirages sceptre or (and this would be a bit better) The staff of Sacanas. It can cast stone and reverse stone spells. Also you will need Yksler's Helm to deal with Chrissy peacefully. However if things go south make sure you have some pieces of Chrissys throne to cover your retreat. It should put Twilights powers on hold long enough for you to get away. But if things get really and I mean REALLY, REALLY, REALLY bad and you have no way out and Twi's ranting about lessons and what not, threaten to put on the Helm of shadow or put it on Twi. Sure equestria gets a new villain but it's either you or her. However if thats a bit too final and dangerous use the memory stone to erase Twi's/mane 6 memory and then hoof it. But a warning. DON'T LET TWI GET THE MEMORY STONE OR ELSE SHE'LL ERASE YOU MEMORIES WHICH MEANS WE GET NO MORE GREAT VIDS. BE VERY CAREFUL. I hope this helps out. It's a lot of work but that should be all angles covered. If Ihave missed any I'll try to amend the plan to cover it. Just make sure the memory stone is erased from Twi memory as well or else she will us it on you.

This isn't the same as taking a chance with Discord's reformation. He wasn't really hurting anyone or feeding off of them or even trying to steal magic. He was basically causing mischief on a global scale. He did it because for him it was funny not because he after power.

In fact he has to cause chaos and have it surround him because if he didn't he would literally fade away and cease to exist. Each of the other villains wanted power in one form or another, and didn't care who got hurt along the way.

I personaly think they should free them one by one : first Chrysalis with the new hive, tgen cozy glow back in the school of friendship with real good friends and last tirek. He could try to be friend with flutterfly and discord, afterall she did turn discord on the good side so why not ?

I think Discord is a special case in being aware. I doubt they are aware and with Twilight in control when or if they break out they will have beings there to stop them.

I'm not advocating for corporal punishment but I actually agree with a brony who said Cozy should have just been taken over the knee instead of this. She's a child and what she did should be severely punished but still in a way more befitting of a child.

I think the problem has party kicked down the road for future generations to deal with but likely by that point Equestria and the other nations will be at a point where the villians schemes cannot work and they're shown e errors of their ways. Crystalis unable to avenge herself on Starlight, Cosy Glow will likely find a REAL friend who can deal with her ambitious but the main problem is Tiek whose primary goal is to steal magic and buff himself up, yet he clearly had no plan for afterwards, in other words: power for the sake of power so I think if he was allowed to obtain all of the power he wants, he will likely find the empty void that lies at the end of the trap he has set himself upon!!! How does changlings ability to change into things work? Can they change into objects or ponies/creatures that they never seen in their life? If so, then can they change into someone that will be born in the future? And if not, how long does it take for changeling to learn how to change into someone else? Do they have to see with their own eyes the form they are want to change into, or is just a simple picture or something like that enough? Can there be flaws in the form that a changeling just took? Something that will make that disguise more obvious, like for example when Queen Chrysalis changed into Princess Cadence, her magic glow was in the wrong color. Unlike Discord, who is a spiritual being, they are all three physical creatures, if the flesh is turned into stone, they can't be conscious, they are frozen in time, for them, it will be one second since the princesses and Discord cast this spell on them. For the rest of Equestria, who knows. Considering the power of Discord being applied for this prison, the spell will last forever, until he breaks it with a snap. He should be the only one able to break the spell, but that's last line is just my opinion.

Yeah no. These three would easily wipe out the entire world with their magic draining, love sucking, dictorial ways. Also I am tired of villains getting reformed for doing in-pony things! Starlight should have been imprisoned in stone with them after what she did. The only ones who deserved their second chances were Diamond Tiara and even Trixie. Though Trixie should have gotten some sort of punishment after using the Alicorn Amulet on Ponyville.

My idea would be why not try to reform them like they did with discord? Discord was turned to stone and accidentally set free. So the mane 6 were asked trying to reform him before something like that happen again. so why not trying the same thing with the other villains? I mean they have discord on their side and the royal sisters so turning them back wont be a problem. So reforming them or at least trying to do seems like a good option.

I feel like this analysis shows the writers really didn't think this through. Anyway, here's my take. I really oughta write this up somewhere myself but meh.

  Anyway, there are neglected possibilities in the payout matrix. First, using the existing categories, under 'temporary' and 'awake'. Technically, being imprisoned while being conscious could have a... not reformative but at least danger-decreasing... effect, much like one who has been in isolation for years has difficulty engaging with others. Curl up in a ball away from everyone rather than posing a threat. Still not great from an ethical standpoint but from a purely pragmatic standpoint it is no different that the 'perpetual' option.
While it is unclear if this makes sense in reality, in fiction there is ALSO some precedent for an imprisoned state where they are not fully conscious but are 'dreaming'. This adds a third row. Under this if perpetual it's not ethically great but better than 'perpetual and awake'. If temporary, there are again two possibilities. First, that dreams would fade as dreams do, rendering it identical to 'temporary and asleep'.

  Second, there is a possibility that some sort of personality change occurs as a result. This then trifurcates! I suppose we have a sub-matrix at this point. For fictional precedent, I have 2 in mind. In in the Doctor Who expanded universe, Davros was placed into such a state and CLAIMED to have reformed, but really just became more mentally unstable while retaining his intellect. This has both the 'curl up in a ball' result as a possibility, and the 'even angrier/more dangerous' as a possibility. The last and most intriguing possibility is that of Lezar in the Sonic the Hedgehog SatAm cartoon. In his own words: "Evil I was once. But... dreamed for centuries I did. Evil I am no more." That is, dream imprisonment as a manner of reformation. I kind of like to think Luna underwent this in combination with a psychological break to explain the results of the series opener without resorting to brainwashing.

  So, now there is precisely 1 result in the payout matrix where it is preferable to leave the trio in stone until it wears off naturally. At this point in order to determine optimal play, the relative probabilities need to be known. I would personally rate the 'good' possibility as less probable than the others, but for that some expert on the matter in-universe IS available, namely Luna.
Mind you all of this ignores the chance that they are awake, but able to communicate with each other. Ethically far more preferable than the 'alone' possibility, but still highly questionable. This possibility is also subject to multiple path-splitting. I thnk we need more matrices.
