Founded in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA, in the late 1960s as the New Blues, the band consisted of Dennis Geyer (guitar and vocals), Jim Marcotte (bass), Terry Anderson (drums) and Howard Wales (keyboards). Wales has previously played with artists such as James Brown and Freddie King. They moved to San Francisco and changed the band name to A.B. Skhy, building a sequence with live performances. They signed a contract with MGM Records and collaborated with producer Richard Delvy on their 1969 debut album. The album featured guitarist Russell DaShiell, accordionist Jim Lebanon and flutist Otis Hale, and spawned the single “Camel Back,” which reached number 100 on the Billboard Hot 100. The band then
