if u had told me 2 years ago i would be watching a vid from dodie of doddleoddle fame being spoon-fed mustard because she can’t taste it due to a global virus i would’ve probs cried or somethin idk
@Leo genuine question, how do she/they pronouns work? Does it not mean you can use them interchangeably? Since they both serve the same function, that being the subject of a sentence
@lforc there are used multiple ways, and it can vary. However, most commonly they're used by using both! So for example, the OP used "she" in the first sentence, and then "they" in the next.
Hi, I'm Kathy and I use she/they pronouns! I am surprised I didn't know Dodie does. I may have forgotten, it's been an odd year or two. I get why it looked like trolling but it didn't seem like it ultimately. They pronoun in the OP could have been plural to the gang in the flat, who are all in the video together. Henry was talking about the other, indeed slightly different sense, therefore adding information if still a bit bantz, not repeating. And made some kind of gratitude/acknowledgement for information. Stand down, my lovelies!! ☺️❤️
@Kathy Bramley by the way i was just referring to dodie in the original post! dodie just recently clarified that they use she/they pronouns and i wanted to try and respect them as best as i could! please let me know if there's anything i confused and thank you 💕💕💕
This looked like fun, but its also surreal as covid is such a horrific thing; I am glad that you are one of the fortunate ones who is not so unwell that you are on the edge of death. Stay safe, get well soon, Thanks for keeping everyone else safe by isolating :)
@Maneskinnnnn That's becoming less and less true as the variants continue to develop and spread Young & healthy people can still become extremely I'll and die from covid
@Carmen Moldoveanu Can you be more precise about what you're worried about ? "Technologies" could mean so many things, there's no way to know which ones you are talking about without more information
@Carmen Moldoveanu I already got one and I can promise that you have not convinced me of anything
I at least have a rudimentary understanding of the science, and base my choices on the scientific concensus so it would take some pretty compelling information to change my mind
@Carmen Moldoveanu bro the COVID vaccine was developed one year ago and your talking about things that happened years ago? You named 4 doctors, while there are hundreds of thousands of doctors and researchers who support the vaccine
@Carmen Moldoveanu the rate of dying to COVID in the us is 1.8 or almost 2% which means 2 in 100. The rate of experiencing serious side effects to the AZ vaccine are substantially low as well as Pfizer.
@TheOrca I don't care about your opinion. I'm not an english speaker but I have a lot of good sens about real life and you don't know my studies in scieces. You are only a troll which is payed to do his criminal job.
@Carmen Moldoveanu If you are a fellow scientist i am so sad for the people you are going to talk to, who trust your expertise. Ofc anyone can claim anything at a comment section on youtube, but in case you're telling the truth, oh boy...
@Maneskinnnnn I am 16 and would most likely die from it pre existing conditions aren’t rare and saying that it’s not too bad because on,y disabled people die is fucking disgusting I don’t wanna die I deserve to live god damnit also even healthy people regularly die or get longt term Covid

PSA: the other people in the vid are dodie’s flatmates and since they’ve been exposed already they are all isolating together :) edit: her flatmates have also previously had COVID, so their risk of getting it again is minimal. edit pt2: To everyone blowing up my comments with stats about new strains and stuff, I’m not defending or condemning whether dodie is being safe enough. I just saw a lot of comments expressing concern so I thought I’d write what dodie had said in response to those comments so it didn’t have to be answered a bunch of separate times. That’s all, I’m not saying this type of isolation should be recommend or if it’s reckless, I was just repeating what dodie had said to concerned commenters.
@Greg Fulcher first of all they have already been exposed, so they have to shelter in place... secondly they all live together in the same shelter. Unless you are offering them an alternative living space to shelter separately from dodie I suggest you be curious, not judgemental
@Kate exactly, I had to isolate bc I was potentially exposed to the virus, I had two negative tests but still isolated in case, but I live with 4 people and although I tried as much as poss to keep away from them sometimes we would bump into each other in the kitchen or whatever, it’s totally impossible to keep completely isolated when you live with people. Bc I was only potentially exposed to it though they could all leave the house- for a positive case no one can leave
@Kate Well my mom had it twice and had to isolate from my dad and sister. Neither of them got it although they were in the same apartment. There's a Lot of stories like that so that's not and excuse. But again I don't know what the rules are in England and also it's their choice if they want to risk getting it by being with Dodie. As long as they stay isolated and don't spread it I don't see the problem
This concept is so weird. In Ireland the infected person has to isolate alone in their room while the rest of the exposed family can use the rest of the house while waiting for their test.
@Greg Fulcher if they literally live together do you really think they’re going to stay in separate corners, when they’re all isolating and have been close to each other before they knew she had Covid anyway?
@Em Claire it depends when they had it. If it was over 6 months ago their risk is likely normal, so pretty high. No one retains antibodies for the same amount of time. You can catch it twice, I’ve had several friends who have and have been fully vaccinated between the two!
@Little_Burrito that's true, my gf's mum had to stay in one room while she had covid, everyone else was allowed to go out after they had a negative test.

@Trashkitten ‘There are people in their 20s’, well yes- of course there may be a handful. But in terms of statistically significant numbers? It is simply factually inaccurate to pretend that that is the case. The same is true of all illnesses. I’ve seen a 20y old woman on ECMO in ICU for flu in 2017. It’s not unheard of but it’s disingenuous to pretend it’s in any way representative of the normal course of disease.
That’s not true. If you’ve gotten COVID before you can still get it again even with the vaccine and you can pass it on, too. You’re just at a higher risk of survival and lower risk of developing longstanding issues after catching COVID.
@Sarah NG I think that's a very dangerous perception to spread. With younger age you are way less likely to have a severe case and/or be admitted to ICU, true, even though it's obviously still not impossible. (And even without any previous health problems so). However, the people that keep suffering from long term effects of an infection tend to be people that had rather mild symptoms in the first place, and unfortunately we really don't know much about the mechanisms behind long-covid or how to treat it. The fact that covid-19 is able to infect so many different kind of tissue and is able to pass the blood brain barrier are not completely new for a virus, but it is very uncommon and something that I personally find quite worrisome.
To not end on such a bad note (and to make this even longer, sorry): the vaccines are working, it's great how many people already got some, it's just important to make sure you get all the shots you need and stay save until and after. <3
@Greg Fulcher in england if uve been in contact w someone w covid u have to self isolate, so they all are self isolating anyways bc dodie has it. plus they're in the same household and so are allowed to be within two metres of eachother......they're following the uk's guidance
@aromlaa isolating means staying at home and not going out, which is clearly what that person did – idk if you’ve lived in a household that has Covid but in my experience, if you’ve all been exposed before they knew they had it anyway, it’s really not practical for the person to stay in one room
@pinkgirl50 She clearly implied that she was trying to stay away from her roommates to not spread covid to them, and because they would bump into eachother, isolating yourself from roommates doesnt work. I said she didn’t isolate herself from THEM. “If she wanted to spread covid to them because it’s inconvenient to isolate in one room, she would’ve said so, but she didn’t. She implied that her attempt at isolating didn’t work, when she clearly was not isolating properly at all. It’s like coughing all over a store while trying to stay away from people, and crying because “isolating doesnt work.” NO, you did not isolate.
Oh no you lost your senses!!! I didn’t realize I lost my smell until I stuck my nose into a new bottle of nail polish remover and thought “wow this barely has any smell they finally solved the problem” and then remembered I had Covid.. Hope you get better soon and get your taste back! <3
@Flying Robin haha best of luck Another side effect I had was that Covid made anything with orange in it takes absolutely disgusting and bitter and I didn’t get over that taste for a couple months
I’m on day 7 of having covid. All my symptoms are gone and I’m feeling good besides not being able to taste and smell anything at all 😭 I hope it comes back soon
the amount of people i've heard say they want covid because they won't eat anything since they can't taste it, just to ✨get skinny✨ is honestly frightening
Ikr, it's really sad that people are so willing to risk harmful symptoms to look a certain way. It's not their fault, more the fault of capitalism and the media but it's so disappointing.
if it helps anyone avoid this thinking, it can actually make you eat more when you can't taste because you're constantly craving something and never getting what you want so you think you still want something (even when you're full). your craving is never satisfied, so it can actually make you more prone to eating/snacking often.
The fear of getting covid and losing my taste/smell is unreal. I've been able to get both doses of Pfeizer, thankfully, but using my senses is legitimately 100% my job as a winemaker. I was so terrified before I was vaccinated.
SAME SAME SAME THING !!! I WAS SO SCARED OF LOSING MY SENSES TOO ! WHEN I GOT COVID i was sobbing every single day in isolation because i convinced myself i would never get my senses back. genuinely felt like i was going mad. D:
i felt the same way ! i dont have a job relatés to these senses but the fear of losing them was such a big part of all the anxiety i developped towards covid. most people around me didnt understand why i was focusing on that
Sometimes it doesn’t come back for a long time, or at all. But I wish dodie all the best luck & hopefully that won’t be the case, than this is a very nice idea
My mum lost her taste and smell when she was in her 20's and she doesn't know why, she's now in her 60's and has forgotten what lots of things smell like. Every few years she'll suddenly be able to smell or taste something for a minute and it's always so exciting
There is such a thing as smell training! It might be something for your mom to try out. If you can't smell for a long time your body sort of forgets how, so it basically starts off with really strong scents that are familiar, often from childhood, and works from there
Gosh losing my taste and smell was the worst when I got covid. I couldn’t eat all the chocolates I had been given for Christmas because the texture of it without the taste was just horrendous.
Wouldn’t recommend covid to anyone (obviously lmao) , wear masks and stay indoors when necessary peopleeee, the pandemic still ain’t over yet unfortunately :(
@DeathnoteBB i get yelled at by ladies on their balconies for wearing my mask. People are a little toooo chill about it rn (in europe at least), im glad the cases are pretty low but they spread exponentially so we should still be careful :(
@made up name the ladies on the balconies be like: IT’S BETTER TO BE SORRY THAN SAFE YOU DUMMY, I DON’T LIKE MASKS SO THEREFORE IT’S A VERY BIG DEAL TO ME WHEN OTHERS WEAR THEM D:<
when i had covid recently, i had a terrible temperature for several days. it was dreadful. then i made myself a bowl of ramen, ate it. it turned out that this ramen was the spiciest ramen i ever did, and i didn’t really feel the spice. my dad tried it, and he cried. the pepper was in the air, and everyone sneezed a lot. Also it lowered my temperature from 38 to 35 C.
Dodie's tongue: Yeah, I don't care, let's ex the worcestershire sauce, I'm invincible! Dodie's stomach: Uh, maybe take it easy okay, I still have to work with mustard marmite ginger here!
If I had covid and couldn't taste anything I would go on an immensely healthy food diet like so healthy it would taste horrible, all the benefits with no taste 😂😂
You would think that but it’s not as easy as it seems when you realise the texture of food without taste is mostly disgusting. Anything with a crunch is okay as long as it doesn’t turn to mush in your mouth… for me that ruled out basically all fruit and vegetables.
I literally did the exact opposite. For the few days I completely lost my smell, I trippled the amount of sugar and hot sauce I put into stuff, because then I could at least taste, that it was sweet or spicy. And I'm super glad that it went away after 3 days. My roommate was not as fortunate...
i thought the same thing before i had covid, but once i actually got it and had no taste or smell all i wanted was food with interesting textures because that was the only part of food i could enjoy
Texture is such a part of eating. I started making smoothies and freezing them. And maybe hot broth. Trying to chew stuff with no taste was like eating rubber bands or cardboard. Even pho. Couldn’t handle the noodles. Covid sucks.
I recovered from covid a year ago today, and I still have days where my sense of taste is wonky and my ability to smell just randomly goes out. At the height of my covid when I could smell or taste nothing, the only food I ate during that time that I could taste even a little bit was the original kind of Kraft Mac and Cheese. I couldn't smell it, but I could taste it a wee bit. My mom said she could kind of taste chicken noodle soup. Maybe noodles are the only thing you can taste while under covid's influence? Lol
@xylene do you know if it'll ever come back completely? I had covid in January, and some days everything is ok but others can't taste or smell a damn thing.
@Abi Saad Some people have had it come back completely, others haven't. They say it's something to do with your cells and that type of stuff in your nose and covid damaged them. They say that those cells in your nose replace themselves like every 1-3 years so it could still be affecting you and me for up to three years. They call this medical condition parosmia if you want to look more into it.
@Abi Saad What @Flamingo 1500 is also what I've heard. Hopefully, over time it will come back fully, but covid's new and they can't say for certain. It's certainly annoying when it goes out, but I've been fortunate enough that it always comes back again, so I'm hopefully one day it'll be back for good. :)
@Flamingo 1500 I have it too! I've had it since May 2020, most things taste like rotten meat and I can't eat a lot of things. I've been to the Doctor, had an MRI and everything and he says there's nothing he can do. I'm about to start taking Vitamin B12 which is supposed to help with nerve damage, so hopefully that makes it better.
it's crazy how you can have the sensation of certain tastes but not recognizing it because of your loss of smell. take care of yourself and I hope you feel better soon!
I had Covid in November, eating an apple was the first time I realized I lost taste and smell... it tasted like a hard boiled egg only the wrong texture. Hope you get your taste and smell back soon, and completely. I got most of mine back, some things took longer that others and there are still things I am not sure about like diesel that it has to be fairly concentrated for me to smell
This was years ago and nothing to do with Covid. I like Ribena and had a glass of it at my desk. As I worked, my mind kept telling me I needed a drink of Coke and I absentmindedly convinced myself it was Coke. When I instinctively took a drink, the taste was horrible because it wasn't what my brain was expecting. :-)
i got a fun fact due to why u can actually "taste" spiciness: spicy is actually not a tasting sense but a heat sense, so it's not perceived through taste buds but through thermoceptors! that's why u can "taste" it
okay maybe it's just the germaphobe in me but when martin double dipped her spoon into the mustard WHILE SHE HAS COVID AND IS CONTAGIOUS... that shit messed me up
So weird that you can still taste things like sour, Tangy-ness and spice but not the actual flavors of those things. I never want to get covid but this bizarre side effect is something I've wanted to experience since I first heard about it.
you definitely don’t want to experience it, obviously it’s an interesting concept to think about but it’s just horrible. i love food so much and not being able to taste or smell anything is honestly taking so much joy out of my life😭
Taste = tongue and flavor = smell. So someone with no sense of smell can still detect sour, bitter, sweet, salty, and savory. And spicy, but that's not a taste OR a flavor, it's molecules tricking your mouth into thinking you've put a food of a painfully hot temperature in your mouth. Anyway, all the nuance is in your nose! You can get a version of this by simply plugging your nose as you eat, no covid necessary
Interesting Marmite fact: There's been a Covid-related national shortage. Pub closures = less beer needed = less beer brewed = less of the yeast by-product used to make Marmite. It's a cruel irony if it's one of the only things people with Covid can actually taste.
I know some people might think you are making light of covid, but I love this. Not only is this facinating, it is so refreshing seeing someone online with the virus just being themselves and having fun (in a safe and responsible way). Realistcally covid is going to be a part of all of our lives for awhile yet, and if you are fortunate enough to still laugh through it I think its important to do so!
@Katalystic Sort of. It was partly about the taste and people struggled with it because of the taste combined with such a large amount of powder. It was too much to deal with both at the same time. That was the reason cinnamon was chosen and not something like flour. If the taste aspect is removed, it would make it easier. Still not easy but easier. :-)
Losing my sense of taste and smell is the symptom I’m most afraid of, I think. I can deal with a cough and a fever and aches and chills. Losing two important senses, though? That would be so scary for me. Glad I’m vaccinated so that if I do catch it, it won’t be as bad.
Going through this now. It's so hard to explain that I can feel sour and spice but not taste anything. And anything fruity or like juice just tastes like sugar water, no actual flavor. I can't wait to get my smell and taste back
I feel like that would be really cool and fun for a bit, just screwing around with things you wouldn't normally eat because you can't taste or smell it but it would just get really depressing after a while and then scary if it didn't come back for weeks
Thank you for doing this! I'm just getting over COVID and the lingering effect is not being able to smell or taste anything, and I swear my family thinks I'm lying that I still can't smell a LOT of things! Now I can show them this video!!!
I didnt lose taste but my partner did. I usually make him fried eggs for breakfast cause he loves them, but without the taste he found the texture disgusting. He said it was like eating mucus.
It's interesting! When I had covid, I could actually taste like...basic flavors. So I could decide if something was salty or sweet. But not more. I couldn't feel the actual taste. It was very weird, killed all the fun out of eating Nutella 😂
Thank you so much for sharing this with us doodie! It's so easy to get lax now that the restrictions has lessened and the Sun's out. I've put my mask back on. Thank you.
i found dodie a couple years back when i was going thru dp/dr and i felt like someone understood my pain. now here i am again feeling that type of way because i haven't able to smell or taste a dang thing for about 7 months...👀👀
When I had COVID I remember I’d managed to get up the energy to make a cup of chai thinking it would help soothe my cough, and it was literally like drinking hot water that had a cinnamon burn. It wasn’t a taste, it was just a sensation.
Dodie! I was exposed to someone with covid too and immediately knew i was going to test positive because i lost my senses not long after that friend tested positive. It was horrible and i can painfully relate to the frustration and trying to hide the fact that it is actually horrifying. My tip would be to force urself to really smell essential oils, specifically lemon or peppermint. Even if u cant smell anything just take a few sniffs and imagine the lemon-y/citrus smell of lemon, and the sweet minty smell of peppermint. This was basically my version of smell therapy. For taste, i also did the same but eating and imagining the taste. After about 5 days of my self-isolation my senses slowly came back. I think i’m the lucky few whose senses came back fast but the smell and taste therapy might make all the difference. I hope you can give it a shot. I’ll keep you and your flatmates in my prayers. Get well soonest
I had literally no taste or smell for a few days, I was so happy when after 2 weeks I could tell if something's sour or sweet. 4 days after I lost both my taste and smell, I sniffed on a bottle of ammonia, NOT A GOOD IDEA. Burned the inside of my nose, but no smell. Hope you're doing okay ❤️
I lost my taste & smell from having covid months ago. It was very strange & I was afraid it wouldn’t come back. But it did! And everything came back tasting very off in the beginning but eventually tasted like normal.
I had Covid and my symptoms were the same as yours, I had it over Christmas time and couldn’t taste anything…it literally took months to get it back and now in July my smell still isn’t 100% normal!
i also think i should maybe warn that my experience with covid didn't help too much with derealization/depersonalization. lacking two other senses kind of separated me from myself even more than usual
I hope you feel better sooooon!! (The hat eye mask is 👌 king shit)
Edit: the disconnect between the physiological reactions and the actual taste isn't something I considered before! Like the sour lemon~ and the texture thing!! Wild~
If I ever get covid. The only way that I would “celebrate” is eat healthy food. Since I can’t taste anything why bother eating junk food? Have covid and be fit. 👌
All the joke aside. Thank you for staying so strong! I hope it passes soon. You are the last person that should have gotten covid :(
I didn't feel like eating much when I had covid. Maybe six months after I was well again and could really taste and smell again, I went through a period of feeling like I was starving all the time. My stomach hurt every time I smelled food, as if I'd eaten nothing for months. It was weird.
fun fact.. i guess? some of your favorite foods pre-covid might taste gross to u after u get ur taste back. sucks but also u get to expand your pallet to new foods.
Still giving us content when you’re miserably sick? Thank you 🙏 I dearly hope after you get your taste back everything goes back to normal. My taste has been screwed for close to 8 months now after I got miss rona
We have covid at the same time and I also lost sense of smell and taste, among other things, now I am getting better but those two havent left.. girl hang in there we can do this :(
I had covid and it barely affected me, I was so lucky. I have TWO conditions that make me "vulnerable" and I was sick for 4 days. The only symptoms I had was the weird feeling like the bottom of my lungs were just gone and I could only breathe in half way and just all consuming tiredness. I have stayed up two days before but damn covid tired is another beast.
i have covid too and i lost my taste and smell and i ended up eating more than i normally do since food tastes like either mushy water or cronchy water
I had covid and lost my smell and taste too!! seriously the freakiest sensation ever… like you know it should have a flavor but it just doesn’t. My friend blindfolded me and gave me essential oils to smell and I seriously couldn’t smell even a little bit of them. thankfully my senses returned after a few weeks but jeez!! so strange
From someone who got covid a while ago and also lost sense of taste and smell, it's so weird how everything I ate back then essentially boiled down to the most basic flavours. Chicken soup tasted like salt, pastries like sugar, lemon tasted sour... This vid is very reletable XD
It took me well over a month to get any taste or smell back at all. The only thing sensation I had outside of the temperature and texture of the food was a vague sense of salt.
Also, in the 9 months since, several foods I used to eat regularly started tasting horrible. Notably peanut butter. That has only recently started to go away.
I cant tell if the idea of a follow up video once you recovered from covid and its side effects would be an interesting or a weird and disgusting thing 😅
As someone who is currently recovering from covid and got their senses all messed up this video is both so funny and heartbreaking 💔. Feel better soon Dodie! Love from Brazil 🇧🇷
helou Me and my whole family got covid december last year.
I dont really follow ur channel, and i hope this doesnt come off as too out there, but i hope u get better soon very very fast! i hope u have very mild symptoms and that they go away quickly and i also hope nobody in ur family or friend circle get "the evil plague" either.
Idk how different the treatment plans are depending on the country but I just always advice people to get a finger oxymeter (if u dont have one already), im sure you have heard about all of this before, but just watch out for the oxygen lvls, anything under 90% is bad news, fever u can keep down, bad symptoms pass, but hypoxia, specially if its silent can be tricky.
i had covid riggghhhhht at the start when loss of taste and smell wasn’t listed as a symptom and those were my only symptoms and i drank some very expensive wine that i did not pay for and it tasted so so so weird (then i snorted a load of salt water because everyone said that it would help and it didn’t lol)
This is so interesting to watch! I was born without my sense of smell so it's fascinating to see someone describe the experience when they do understand what the addition of smell should be doing. Like, to me lemon is just sour and I'm intrigued what it is that makes it different to most people.
Hope you're feeling better soon and that your sense of smell comes back quickly like it does for most people with covid. If it does take longer to come back, there's a few sense of smell organisations in the UK that can give you advice such as Fifth Sense and Abscent
Loosing the taste was a trip for sure. I tried tasting just plain salt and even that had lost its taste. Like I could feel the sensation of the saltyness, but the taste was completely absent.
Lol currently in the same boat, Covid made me completely lose my sense of smell. Can spray perfume in my face and I don't smell a thing. Luckily I still have some taste left though (sweet, salt + spicy)
This is so intriguing to watch! My mum and I both had covid (supposedly, it was back in January 2020) and I couldn’t taste anything for a while. This brings back so many weird memories. Hopefully your sense of smell and taste comes back soon! Take it easy.
I suppose the reason she can 'almost' smell the ground coffee is because she knows what it is and so her brain can create an expectation/interpretation based on sensory memory.
i dont feel smells for a few months now and a doctor said i have to take 5 strong smells and sniff for 20 seconds, wait 1 minute 3 times a day, its getting better. I hope you get better soon
I had Covid with this exact symptoms and it's seriously bizzare. I couldn't smell ANYTHING! Even the steam from boiling water with ginger in it. It's crazy!
when i had covid i completely lost my appetite, so now I'm sad i didn't try loads of things because having no sense of smell or taste is a whacky feeling
It’s really baffling to me. I’m young and relatively healthy but I would certainly not be chill about catching covid and definitely wouldn’t feel comfortable trivialising it online like this. It’s so unpredictable what kind of effect it would have, we know that young and healthy people have ended up hospitalised or dead. I don’t understand how anyone could think of themselves as invincible in the face of this pandemic.
I’ve never been able to smell anything (not COVID, literally can’t smell since forever) apart from like strong smells like inside a fish n chip shop or the worst fart in the world. I can still taste stuff but it’s kinda nice to know people know what’s its like to not have to have an air freshener or smth.
When u get COVID it’s like “oo haha lemme smell this for fun even tho I can’t smell it” but for me it’s like it’s been so long it’s so fucking annoying when people r like “smell this! Isn’t it lovely!” “I can’t smell, you know this” “smell it anyway!” “sniff sniff. I can’t smell it, as I said” “weird!!” Like fuckin listen to me the first time and don’t make me feel awful for not being able to smell
I got covid six months ago and still can't smell properly Doritos taste like chemicals I can taste salty and sweet but I can't taste the actual food like chips are salty but I CABTS FULLY TASTE THE CHIP Bleach smells like rotten plasticine Take care of yourselfs, you the lucky ones that haven't gotten it cuz IT SUCKS
During COVID I had no appetite really, I fed on whatever shit there was in the fridge because nothing had a taste at all. Its not like a common cold where flavours are kind of there but behind a curtain, or they come and go or are hard to reach. With COVID your sense of taste/smell is completely deactivated, there's nothing at all, it was quite mental. One random day 7 days after I was diagnosed and after waking up from a 3 hour nap, they randomly came back. Flavours were a bit distorted for a day or two, and then all back to normal.
Keep breathing in scents that you know well, coffee for example and imagine what it smells like, almost being able to smell the coffee when you tried it was your brain reconnecting the cells or something- its called smell therapy. I did it multiple times a day with lavender essential oil for 3 days, woke up one morning coughed and suddenly could smell and taste lavender and then I was back to normal x
I knew I was in trouble yesterday when I couldn't smell blackcurrent after sticking my lil nose fully in the bottle and inhaling for a good 10 seconds. I've just been biting down on ginger and garlic easy. The weirdest thing was eating an orange, I never realised how much an orange's texture is like some saggy ballsack in your mouth, I want the tang back.
Man, it must be SO crazy to taste the general essence of something but not TASTE it. Hope you recover quickly, Dodie, but this video was still a lot of fun. ♥️
hi! congenital anosmic here! (someone who was born without a sense of smell!). this is so crazy to me, to finally have a resource of someone who has been able to record the difference between tasting with smell and tasting without. essentially what's happening is that you're feeling the physical aspect of taste (what happens when food reacts with particular tastebuds - sour, sweet, salty, bitter or umami), but not the olfactory aspect of taste which I never realised made so much of a difference (having never experienced smell). I sometimes make youtube videos about anosmia, so once I get my act together I'm going to react to this and respond in depth xD
something I keep thinking about, is that you'll never really be able to taste that again. unless you get covid again, but like. it's weird that you HAVE to be sick to taste that specific taste. weird
You're a genius, Dodie! lol ... Good thing is you don't have to taste anything during singing. lol ... Hope you will be okay soon! Btw. This taste test would kill my stomach lol
please do a part 2 of this where you try tasting sweet things! when I had covid, I found the BIGGEST difference in taste was sugary things. sugar just felt like I was eating sand it was crazy.
I caught COVID in February after getting a 2nd job and am now experiencing parosmia where everything smells bad or distorted so everything tastes bad or distorted. So I wear a swimmers nose clip whenever I eat.
My grandma died from covid but I still enjoy the videos like this one. We are allowed to have fun with what we're given. I don't want covid to be a tragic thing to everyone. For someone it can just be an experience to overcome. I hope you get well soon.

You'll have to taste all these again once you get better and compare.
I wonder how things would taste with covid and a miracle berry
when I had COVID I kept huffing from a jar of Vapour Rub begging my nose to smell it lmao I could taste things, but only barely. Once you're all better, you should do a sequel to this using those little miracle berry tablets that change your taste buds temporarily! I think the big brand is "mBerry"... maybe just for fun :)
I think I had covid last December as I couldn’t taste or smell ANYTHING, I had no other symptoms which is why I’m unsure. But tbh that symptom is the worst because the feeling of eating certain foods but not being able to taste them is like torture. I once ate a grilled cheese and it was just the texture of the bread and cheese and nothing else, weirdest sensation. I’d recommend eating a bunch of spicy foods while your taste is gone because it at least adds some variety to eating, as you can still feel it’s spicy but can’t taste it
Btw if you're in the UK you don't have to wait 8 weeks for your second vaccine dose, just go to a walk-in and you can get it as long as you're 3 weeks+. Some places are stricter but I got mine at 21 days at a walk-in in London.
i lost my smell and taste for maybe only a few days i truly don’t remember how long but everything was so so faint i knew it was something but like i’d have to actually hurt myself breathing in to get any bit of “smell”
My smell and taste are still off and it’s been over a year since I had COVID. My dog got sprayed by a skunk and I could barely smell it whereas my mom was gagging it was so bad haha
the idea of losing my sense of smell and taste is terrifying
i mean, obviously, being sick to the point of nearly or actually dying is worse but light fever or dry cough seems more manageable than not smelling/tasting anything
I have Covid and this is legit me. I mean when we say we can’t taste/smell ANYthing. We mean it. I’ve never experienced 100% complete loss of taste until now. It’s wild.
Oh yes haha, when I heard people that have covid loose their sense of taste and smell I thought hmm it's probably like a common cold where things taste and smell faintly but nothing more. Then I got covid... and my first reaction was lol...there was absolutely nothing I could taste, 100 % complete loss of taste and smell it's not even comparable to any other cold or flu. And the most surreal thing was that I had no nasal congestion and still there was NOTHING. Everything I ate tasted like paper, everything I drank tasted like water like it didn't exist...it's so so weird. Coffee was the worst for me. It was literally hot water haha xD And I even ate a raw onion just to test my taste and I swear there was absolutely nothing, I ate it like an apple. Although I really enjoyed the crunchy texture hahaha. Now a year later I still can't taste properly (I can only sense the basic flavors like sweet, bitter and salty on my tongue but that's all). I mean it's better then having no taste at all but it still sucks because I just want to enjoy food and drinks again...
Not being able to smell anything is my life. I do have the ability to taste, although it is reduced and only medium to strong flavours get through. Spicy food rules!! It has it's advantages of course (the obvious ones) but the downside is I can't get the full benefit from food or food being cooked.
i had the exact same thing where i could FEEL tastes but not taste them!!! i had something with lots of pepper sprinkled on and it hurt to eat bc i couldn't taste a damn thing but the little pains of pepper were punching my mouth lmao
my family and i had covid over christmas and we accidentally burnt our christmas dinner because we couldn't smell anything. it turned out okay, but most of the carrots had turned into charcoal...
This is so cool! 🤩 So basically, your taste is fine. You can still taste the 6 things we can taste: salty, sweet, bitter, sour, spicy and umami. But because all the other things we "taste" actually go through the nose and stimulate smell receptors, you only THINK you have no taste.
This is true to some degree but not entirely. I know someone who has had no sense of smell since birth but she can taste more than covid patients who lose their taste and smell can.
Ahaaaa this is the weirdest part of having covid. I remember spending weeks trying foods and waiting for it to be more than just a sensation on my tounge and actually have taste again. Was the best thing when it returned but even 7 months later it's still a bit fucked, same with my smell
They’ve already had it and they were all in close contact before dodie developed symptoms too. Because they’ve already had it they likelihood of them having it again is low
I really don't want to get Covid, but if I were to get it, I would probably only consume super healthy foods that I usually really hate, like beetroot juice or kale smoothies or whatever 😆
when i got covid my friends asked me to taste random condiments too... i couldnt even taste vinegar (which i hate) and even chewed on some whole pepper corns lmao
also I never realized how you can feel tastes? idk if that makes sense like spicy and sour stuff obv but sweet things? i never realized sweet had a sensation??
You’re the third person I’ve seen in recent days who has COVID and now can’t taste anything. So weird, I didn’t even know that was such a common symptom!
The worst thing when i had covid was i had a burger and chips and beer battered onion rings and it tasted like absolutely nothing😭 it was like your burger analogy actually happening, a big, juicy burger but no taste at all! You should have one of those ginger shot things you like
@davidf2281 theres science on this actually! vitamins C, D, and zinc help people with covid, and you get given them in some hospitals/told to take them if you’re sick! they’re nicknamed “covitamins”
To the people slagging them off saying she should be isolating by herself. They all live in the same flat. If ones got it, the others are going to be exposed to it too
well the positive person should isolate in their room, quite simply because being ‘exposed’ to it doesn’t necessarily mean you will get it. The housemates could actually catch it on day 8 of the isolation, they would then all have to isolate for a further ten days starting from then, so as long as the three of them don’t mind isolating for up to 30 days they’re fine.
@sgtmian brilliant point, if possible the person isolating should use a separate toilet and should have food delivered to their door. Although, this can be difficult in housing such as student accommodation. In such cases, the person should aim to use the communal spaces after others in the house and should wear a mask and gloves, wipe down anything they’ve touched after use and keep windows open. At least this is what my housemate did when he was positive and isolating
There’s a nice episode of the podcast Home Cooking by Samin Nosrat and Hrishikesh Hirway where they talk about what would be nice to eat while you have no taste and smell maybe that’s helpful :) there they also explain that food being spicy is actually not a taste. It’s more that your mouth is in pain basically lol
after i got covid in november i still can’t smell certain smells or taste certain things. a lot of foods and sauces taste like pure metal to me now. it’s not fun. :/
Idk if people know what that mustard is but ask anyone, hell order some yourself, it is so strong there's no way you can mistake the taste and smell of it. The face she couldn't is actually mad 😭😭😭 rip her stomach
Interesting how both you and Lucy Moon's other half have Covid at the same time. She posted something on her instagram stories the other day of him going around the kitchen smellng random things and unable to detect a single thing.
Maybe miracle berries will help? I think that they’re meant to help with cancer patients who have lost their sense of taste. It might do the trick for this
i’m pretty sure i got covid in january cuz i lost my smell and taste and even now my taste still hasn’t come back :/ my smell is basically back but still dimmed
Me eating an onion during a university debate. Currently positive for COVID and I can't smell the difference between a lemon and poo because they both smell like nothing. I can only vaguely taste slight amounts of bitter, sour, and salt but that's about it.
Get your zinc levels checked. Apparently if your low in zinc then you have a far greater chance of developing this. I had covid and took zinc supplements all the way through it, I'm almost fully recovered in taste and smell
bestie wait for the parosmia, basically make your taste buds go mad and make everything taste like something else and NOTHING be with the same qualities as before
I had covid last year in march and ever since my smell has mostly come back but my taste has completely changed. Chocolate used to be my favourite food and now it taste awful and mango, apricot, passionfruit, cider, beer and monster energy all taste the exact same to me they all taste and smell like vomit? it’s so strange honestly I’m the only person i know that has had lasting effects but I think i’m starting to accept my fate that it might never go back to normal. (most other foods now taste normal to me again it’s just mainly the ones i’ve mentioned)
Have hope - my friend's brother was the same as you for maybe 6 months or so but he apparently did eventually get back to normal. Hopefully you will too! Also, if you haven't been vaccinated yet that may actually help since it can help with long covid.
Gret and Martin are my flat mates so we’re all isolating together! They’ve had covid this year so we’re hoping hoping hoppping they’ll be okay >.< they took a pcr test this morning so we will wait and seeee
@doddleoddle there are rare cases of people getting re-infected, i know a couple of them personally, and their second time was actually worse. aka previous infection does not equal immunity. so as sad as it is, you should be isolating from your roomates, and they also need to isolate from other people.
In theory they should, because getting covid once does not prevent you from getting it again. It would be better if you all were wearing masks inside and staying isolated in your bedrooms. Also, it is important for you to clean the door knobs and the bathroom after you touch it ou use it (you can use a bleach solution or alcohol). I hope you all stay well and i hope you get better soon Dodie 💙
I know this is a weird one for all of us because covid is so universal that everyone has experiences upon which to base an opinion, but please remember that Dodie and her flatmates are grown ups and can make choices about their own health! I'm sure they're all doing their best with a tough situation :-)
@Sarah Tindle oh yeah, I'm not judging or telling them what to do, It's just recommendations (from many health organizations) that are known to be the most adequate in those cases and that I think are important to be emphasized! They know what they are doing and they are taking care of each other! I just wanted to emphasize this because I think it is important and valid information :)
@doddleoddle glad you are keeping your spirits up. But you should really be isolating from your housemates. I.e. you staying in one room which they don't enter. Ideally meals left by the door and where possible separate bathrooms. There is a small risk they could get covid again. I know that's tough on the mental health and so balance is needed. But please take care. And get well soon ♥️
@travelman1983 if they live together they’ve already probably been exposed anyway and they’re also isolating together – that seems really drastic and could really damage Dodie’s mental health
When I had covid I couldn’t stand long enough to make food, and I had to order a Chinese and it was such a sad moment eating my favourite food and not being able to taste it.oh and I had to live in pjs
Dang, you mean 14 months SINCE you got covid and your smell and full taste hasn't returned yet? That's terrible, I'm sorry to hear that and everyone else's experience :(
This makes me so sad. She seems in good spirits but I'm still worried about her and her roommates. Is be mortified and cleaning everything down daily. I don't understand how she even could get it but maybe I'm defecting because I get paranoid tho I'm almost always in isolation
Making the best of a shit situation doesn’t mean she is taking it lightly. We are over a year into this whole shindig, we all know COVID is serious and scary and kills... it’s okay to know these things and make videos and memories with friends while you shelter in place with them. You don’t have to suffer if you aren’t suffering yet
This was fun and all but what am I missing here? You're supposed to be quarantining if you have COVID? Do her friends have it too? Will they be quarantining now? Edit: I read that they're quarantining together.
Wow 😳 this is some interesting science honestly. I have not gotten sick but my sister has and I have not asked her about this but this is so interesting.
I’ve loved watching your content and music for years but watching this makes me sad. I will never be able to experience this sensation because if I had COVID I would be in a hospital bed and so after die but for you it’s a fun little game
They are all roommates, so they're all in isolation together (since they share space like kitchen/bathroom/etc). I think I read somewhere that they previously had covid too, but I'm not sure.
oh losing taste and smell was so bad bc not only did i felt like im about to die but i couldnt even enjoy any food. positive: i finished the hummus i didnt like the taste of
The likely at least have their first vaccine considering their age group. Also when you live together it's so likely that you'll all get it because it's very contagious that you might as well just be around each other. They're young and aren't vulnerable (presumably) so the risk is low.
They’ve already been in close contact before dodie developed symptoms. They’re isolating together but they’ve already had covid so their chance of getting it is relatively low
I don't think that you are going to read this but you look so much like an Italian YouTuber, her name is "fraffrog" look it up, at the beginning i thought that your YouTube channel was a second channel that she had
They're roomates so have already been exposed to her. They're stuck isolating with eachother anyway so the likelihood that they also have it/will have it, is very high
Why is the hanging with other folks if she has covid!!!! The risk of transmission when someone is asymptomatic is very very low, but once they’re having symptoms, they’re shedding the virus much more so this was so silly to be in such close contact.
From what I’ve seen- they were already in close contact before she developed symptoms, and they’ve both already had covid so the likelihood of them getting again is very low
@Ellie i’m sorry, i don’t want to sound rude or anything, but she should be isolated in her bedroom. her friends can be infected again and she’s putting their lives in risk. i love dodie and i’m saying this because i’m actually worried.
Their flat mates already had Covid earlier and they live in such close quarters (2 bedroom) that they’re accepting the risk of exposure. They’ve been symptom free so far! (Obviously not going out, they’re alll isolating together)
@doddleoddle glad you removed his comments covid is no hoax I lost my cousin

If they're not concerned for themselves there's no reason for anyone else to be either. That being said, I got curious, too, but my random guess is that they're already vaccinated or they have simply accepted to share the unavoidable ride if they are indeed roommates
brain damage is a BUMMER! Odd thing about it is I got into a super angry state in and argument 6 months later and SOME smells and tastes came back. She is a victim of brain damages from the anti covid injection,
we live together so are isolating! They also had covid this year so am hoppping they will be okay >.< they’re gd so far!! They took a pcr test this morning so will be interesting to see
@doddleoddle aww that’s good. I mean i assumed you are smart about things. Definitely wasn’t asking in an accusatory way. 🙂 fingers crossed the test are negative and they stay safe! I hope you have a speedy recovery ✨
Unfortunately the vaccine isnt 100 percent effective, also, in the UK her age group has only been able to book our vaccines in the last month. She had her first dose of phizer a month back but there needs to be a gap of a few weeks before your second dose so she most likely wasnt able to get it before this point.
I’m happy for her to make herself feel better, but broadcasting it online and trivialising covid like this feels completely insensitive to the reality of covid killing millions and just doesn’t sit right with me.
@Lisa April Stevenson i know some people have isolated in a single room from their partner, roommates, etc.! i think you're right that they're just all in this together
It's not really doing that. She's not saying that other people should try to get covid to do this and she didn't try to get it on purpose. She just happened to catch it and thought this would be funny for other people to see. You're being overdramatic.
Your speech also sounds different. Is your tongue swollen or numb somehow. It would be nice if in the future they didn't fabricate new viruses for us. We could do without.
Sorry dodie but if I was your flatmate I'd be avoiding you like the plague 😅 even vaccinated or previously recovered, you can still get it. Do they actively just not care about getting covid? I personally like my sense of taste and smell and you know... not potentially dying. Hope you're all well soon xx
if they were gonna get it, they’ve probably already got it unfortunately since they live together. they’ll have to isolate too anyway from being in contact so better to do it together ig!
@Shannon yeah, the worst part was, as he did his acting very close to other people without the sold "guidelines" for protecting other people, according to CDC he not only transmitted the disease but cause the death to the whole crew.
@Jamie your comment seems to have disappeared but in any case, don't worry about me. I'll continue being brainwashed by the historical science records and books detailing the reoccurring emergence of viral diseases and prevention/extinction of said diseases with the use of vaccine technology which are the primary reason for our continued existence and worst case scenario, I'll be dead in 50 years anyway so it won't matter what you or I believed 🙃 Worry about yourself mate 🥰
Propaganda sure. So my friend who died from COVID must be paid by the government. All those confirmed deaths were nothing but lies orchestrated by the government.
@Ale Lo so what’s next, you gonna tell me all past viruses were what, conspiracies fabricated by the yakuza? Cause the day anti vaxers are right will be the day Godzilla rises out of the ocean to destroy us all
I hope you get help, you most definitely need it. You realise COVID IS REAL and that others, like myself, caught it... right? I didn’t get paid anything and neither did my friends are family who caught it. I sincerely hope you never get covid, for your own sake.
That says it all. Oh by the way, Facebook is on YOUR side.

@Jamie nope. Facebook is ran by Murk Zuckerberg who is a Republican and plus according to stats, most Republicans hang around Facebook spreading lies and yet calls Democrats liars. Pot calling kettle black much
@America Chavez Zuckerberg is part of the cabal. The left dominate the narrative, the US at this point is pretty much in the hands of bolsheviks. Scary times.

@Jamie and news flash, nothing you says matters cause she got better. Zuckerberg part of the cabal but yet he’s the one spreading fake news and telling people to vote for Trump. And if Dodie is lying, she wouldn’t have given you a shoutout on Instagram for your lies
if u had told me 2 years ago i would be watching a vid from dodie of doddleoddle fame being spoon-fed mustard because she can’t taste it due to a global virus i would’ve probs cried or somethin idk

45 likes@Henry just a heads up Dodie uses both she and they pronouns !
80 likesMy partner hasn't been able to smell for years and he still does this
9 likes@Henry you really took time out of your day for this 🤨🤨 embarrassing luv
17 likes@Leo i didn't know that, thx!
6 likes@Leo genuine question, how do she/they pronouns work? Does it not mean you can use them interchangeably? Since they both serve the same function, that being the subject of a sentence
7 likes@lforc there are used multiple ways, and it can vary. However, most commonly they're used by using both! So for example, the OP used "she" in the first sentence, and then "they" in the next.
13 likes@covinaut oooh, makes sense. Thank you!
5 likes@bestie boy i don't really understand what you think is embarrassing....
1 like@Paula Rebasti to go out of their way “correct” them by only using she
4 likes@Kay Hey i honestly don't think that they did that
5 likesHi, I'm Kathy and I use she/they pronouns! ☺️❤️
9 likes@Kathy Bramley by the way i was just referring to dodie in the original post! dodie just recently clarified that they use she/they pronouns and i wanted to try and respect them as best as i could! please let me know if there's anything i confused and thank you 💕💕💕

'being on the edge of death from covid' is extremely extremely rare unless you are old and/or have pre existing conditions.
21 likesYay me being terrified because 40% of heat transplant people have died if they got Covid

0 likes@Carmen Moldoveanu bro the COVID vaccine was developed one year ago and your talking about things that happened years ago? You named 4 doctors, while there are hundreds of thousands of doctors and researchers who support the vaccine

0 likesPSA: the other people in the vid are dodie’s flatmates and since they’ve been exposed already they are all isolating together :)
2152 likesedit: her flatmates have also previously had COVID, so their risk of getting it again is minimal.
edit pt2: To everyone blowing up my comments with stats about new strains and stuff, I’m not defending or condemning whether dodie is being safe enough.

Thank you for this, I was deeply concerned
121 likes@freckleandspice As was I!!!
4 likesyeah, but if they haven't had a positive covid test they could risk getting it by being near her. it kinda sets a bad example imo.
98 likes@Greg Fulcher They have also both had COVID already, so the risk is pretty minimal.
15 likesNot really minimal anymore with the new strains. A friend of mine was vaccinated 2 days ago but has had COVID twice.
66 likes@Greg Fulcher first of all they have already been exposed, so they have to shelter in place... secondly they all live together in the same shelter. Unless you are offering them an alternative living space to shelter separately from dodie I suggest you be curious, not judgemental
107 likes@Em Claire thats not how it works. the evidence is that they've all had covid, clearly not taking it seriously.
17 likes@Greg Fulcher ooofff there is that judgement again.
38 likes@Kate exactly, I had to isolate bc I was potentially exposed to the virus, I had two negative tests but still isolated in case, but I live with 4 people and although I tried as much as poss to keep away from them sometimes we would bump into each other in the kitchen or whatever, it’s totally impossible to keep completely isolated when you live with people. Bc I was only potentially exposed to it though they could all leave the house- for a positive case no one can leave
36 likesThank you Miss PSA. You have really assuaged my valid concerns. FFS adults can do what they want.
5 likes@Kate Well my mom had it twice and had to isolate from my dad and sister. Neither of them got it although they were in the same apartment. There's a Lot of stories like that so that's not and excuse.
28 likesBut again I don't know what the rules are in England and also it's their choice if they want to risk getting it by being with Dodie. As long as they stay isolated and don't spread it I don't see the problem
This concept is so weird. In Ireland the infected person has to isolate alone in their room while the rest of the exposed family can use the rest of the house while waiting for their test.
51 likes@Miranda Wright Define ‘risk’ in a bunch of people in their 20s. This illness is essentially of no threat to them
2 likes@Sarah NG here in Aus there are people in their 20s in ICU, they are still at a risk, it doesn't oh effect old and high risk people
36 likes@Greg Fulcher if they literally live together do you really think they’re going to stay in separate corners, when they’re all isolating and have been close to each other before they knew she had Covid anyway?
13 likes@Em Claire it depends when they had it. If it was over 6 months ago their risk is likely normal, so pretty high. No one retains antibodies for the same amount of time. You can catch it twice, I’ve had several friends who have and have been fully vaccinated between the two!
21 likesI was wondering why they were double dipping the mustard and ginger (though tbh I wouldn't do that anyway even if we were all safe) XD
5 likes@Little_Burrito that's true, my gf's mum had to stay in one room while she had covid, everyone else was allowed to go out after they had a negative test.
9 likes@Trashkitten ‘There are people in their 20s’, well yes- of course there may be a handful.
6 likesDepends how long ago they had COVID
3 likesThis is what I needed to know.
1 likeThank you I was wondering 😉
0 likesThat’s not true. If you’ve gotten COVID before you can still get it again even with the vaccine and you can pass it on, too. You’re just at a higher risk of survival and lower risk of developing longstanding issues after catching COVID.
16 likes@freckleandspice Of course they are, they would have been contacted by test and trace and told to isolate
0 likes@Greg Fulcher they are all Isolating, she said it on instagram.
1 like@Sarah NG I think that's a very dangerous perception to spread. With younger age you are way less likely to have a severe case and/or be admitted to ICU, true, even though it's obviously still not impossible. (And even without any previous health problems so).
15 likesHowever, the people that keep suffering from long term effects of an infection tend to be people that had rather mild symptoms in the first place, and unfortunately we really don't know much about the mechanisms behind long-covid or how to treat it.

1 like@Laura Findley you shouldn’t have been going all around the house like that, that’s not isolating.
4 likes@aromlaa isolating means staying at home and not going out, which is clearly what that person did – idk if you’ve lived in a household that has Covid but in my experience, if you’ve all been exposed before they knew they had it anyway, it’s really not practical for the person to stay in one room
3 likes@pinkgirl50 She clearly implied that she was trying to stay away from her roommates to not spread covid to them, and because they would bump into eachother, isolating yourself from roommates doesnt work.

Ikr, it's really sad that people are so willing to risk harmful symptoms to look a certain way. It's not their fault, more the fault of capitalism and the media but it's so disappointing.
18 likesi felt that way for a second and it scares me how much my ed screws up my mind
26 likesif it helps anyone avoid this thinking, it can actually make you eat more when you can't taste because you're constantly craving something and never getting what you want so you think you still want something (even when you're full). your craving is never satisfied, so it can actually make you more prone to eating/snacking often.
3 likesDon't wish for this

There is such a thing as smell training! It might be something for your mom to try out. If you can't smell for a long time your body sort of forgets how, so it basically starts off with really strong scents that are familiar, often from childhood, and works from there
11 likesGosh losing my taste and smell was the worst when I got covid. I couldn’t eat all the chocolates I had been given for Christmas because the texture of it without the taste was just horrendous.

2 likesThat’s what I plan on doing bcs I just lost my sense of taste and smell
1 likeI would totally do that except I mostly dislike foods because of their texture.
11 likesThis is so smart
0 likesYou would think that but it’s not as easy as it seems when you realise the texture of food without taste is mostly disgusting. Anything with a crunch is okay as long as it doesn’t turn to mush in your mouth… for me that ruled out basically all fruit and vegetables.
11 likesI literally did the exact opposite. For the few days I completely lost my smell, I trippled the amount of sugar and hot sauce I put into stuff, because then I could at least taste, that it was sweet or spicy. And I'm super glad that it went away after 3 days. My roommate was not as fortunate...
3 likesbro I literally did that LOLLL
0 likesi thought the same thing before i had covid, but once i actually got it and had no taste or smell all i wanted was food with interesting textures because that was the only part of food i could enjoy
0 likesu can make really tasty really healthy foods tho, just using good ingredients and spicing it up
0 likesTexture is such a part of eating. I started making smoothies and freezing them. And maybe hot broth. Trying to chew stuff with no taste was like eating rubber bands or cardboard. Even pho. Couldn’t handle the noodles. Covid sucks.
0 likesI had covid 10 months ago and my sense of taste and smell is still screwed up and I cannot eat ANYTHING but noodles without feeling like throwing up😊
188 likesReplies (10)
I recovered from covid a year ago today, and I still have days where my sense of taste is wonky and my ability to smell just randomly goes out. At the height of my covid when I could smell or taste nothing, the only food I ate during that time that I could taste even a little bit was the original kind of Kraft Mac and Cheese. I couldn't smell it, but I could taste it a wee bit. My mom said she could kind of taste chicken noodle soup. Maybe noodles are the only thing you can taste while under covid's influence? Lol
36 likes@xylene mac and cheese was one of the few things I could eat, I ate that stuff for months
7 likes@Flamingo 1500 Same :)
3 likes@xylene do you know if it'll ever come back completely? I had covid in January, and some days everything is ok but others can't taste or smell a damn thing.
14 likes@Abi Saad Some people have had it come back completely, others haven't. They say it's something to do with your cells and that type of stuff in your nose and covid damaged them. They say that those cells in your nose replace themselves like every 1-3 years so it could still be affecting you and me for up to three years. They call this medical condition parosmia if you want to look more into it.
18 likes@Abi Saad What @Flamingo 1500 is also what I've heard. Hopefully, over time it will come back fully, but covid's new and they can't say for certain. It's certainly annoying when it goes out, but I've been fortunate enough that it always comes back again, so I'm hopefully one day it'll be back for good. :)
8 likes@Flamingo 1500 I have it too!

2 likesi got a fun fact due to why u can actually "taste" spiciness: spicy is actually not a tasting sense but a heat sense, so it's not perceived through taste buds but through thermoceptors! that's why u can "taste" it

0 likesSo weird that you can still taste things like sour, Tangy-ness and spice but not the actual flavors of those things. I never want to get covid but this bizarre side effect is something I've wanted to experience since I first heard about it.
34 likesReplies (5)
you definitely don’t want to experience it, obviously it’s an interesting concept to think about but it’s just horrible. i love food so much and not being able to taste or smell anything is honestly taking so much joy out of my life😭
19 likesMy friend had covid last march and still can't taste anything
2 likesIt reminds me of that Berry pill that stops you tasting bitter and sour things, maybe just get that instead? 😅
3 likesCus flavours are very much detected by smell. The things she could taste are all detected by her tongue only.
1 likeTaste = tongue and flavor = smell.
1 likeInteresting Marmite fact: There's been a Covid-related national shortage. Pub closures = less beer needed = less beer brewed = less of the yeast by-product used to make Marmite. It's a cruel irony if it's one of the only things people with Covid can actually taste.
12 likesI know some people might think you are making light of covid, but I love this. Not only is this facinating, it is so refreshing seeing someone online with the virus just being themselves and having fun (in a safe and responsible way). Realistcally covid is going to be a part of all of our lives for awhile yet, and if you are fortunate enough to still laugh through it I think its important to do so!
4 likesSo is this the time to have and win a competition of eating really sour foods and firey jawbreakers or something?
167 likesReplies (3)
If only that cinnamon challenge thing was still going on. Dodie would win.
5 likes@Lwaves the cinnamon challenge wasn’t about the taste, it was about the large amount of powdery substance
1 like@Katalystic Sort of. It was partly about the taste and people struggled with it because of the taste combined with such a large amount of powder. It was too much to deal with both at the same time. That was the reason cinnamon was chosen and not something like flour. If the taste aspect is removed, it would make it easier. Still not easy but easier. :-)
1 likeWhy do I find this so fascinating? Awful, obviously, but fascinating

2 likesLosing my sense of taste and smell is the symptom I’m most afraid of, I think. I can deal with a cough and a fever and aches and chills. Losing two important senses, though? That would be so scary for me. Glad I’m vaccinated so that if I do catch it, it won’t be as bad.
33 likesGoing through this now. It's so hard to explain that I can feel sour and spice but not taste anything. And anything fruity or like juice just tastes like sugar water, no actual flavor. I can't wait to get my smell and taste back
0 likesI feel like that would be really cool and fun for a bit, just screwing around with things you wouldn't normally eat because you can't taste or smell it but it would just get really depressing after a while and then scary if it didn't come back for weeks

14 likesWhen I had COVID I remember I’d managed to get up the energy to make a cup of chai thinking it would help soothe my cough, and it was literally like drinking hot water that had a cinnamon burn. It wasn’t a taste, it was just a sensation.
0 likesDodie!
0 likesI had literally no taste or smell for a few days, I was so happy when after 2 weeks I could tell if something's sour or sweet. 4 days after I lost both my taste and smell, I sniffed on a bottle of ammonia, NOT A GOOD IDEA. Burned the inside of my nose, but no smell. Hope you're doing okay ❤️

Stay strong! Eat well, drink water and rest a lot
i had covid riggghhhhht at the start when loss of taste and smell wasn’t listed as a symptom and those were my only symptoms and i drank some very expensive wine that i did not pay for and it tasted so so so weird (then i snorted a load of salt water because everyone said that it would help and it didn’t lol)

I was born without my sense of smell so it's fascinating to see someone describe the experience when they do understand what the addition of smell should be doing. Like, to me lemon is just sour and I'm intrigued what it is that makes it different to most people.
1 likeHope you're feeling better soon and that your sense of smell comes back quickly like it does for most people with covid. If it does take longer to come back, there's a few sense of smell organisations in the UK that can give you advice such as Fifth Sense and Abscent

4 likesGlad you're safe at least : ) Wishing the UK well from Australia.
This was the most entertained I’ve been all week 😂 get well soon dodie 🥰
1 likeLoosing the taste was a trip for sure. I tried tasting just plain salt and even that had lost its taste. Like I could feel the sensation of the saltyness, but the taste was completely absent.
0 likesYou know someone’s British if they say „That’s the saddest thing. I can’t smell tea“.
25 likesI love that they’re all able to kind of make light of it and laugh bc she’s got such a mild case
0 likesso fun I have covid at the same time as you!!!! Cant believe this was gonna be a thing I could bond with you over:((((
0 likesLol currently in the same boat, Covid made me completely lose my sense of smell. Can spray perfume in my face and I don't smell a thing. Luckily I still have some taste left though (sweet, salt + spicy)
0 likesThis is great. Ha ha ha! Glad you had fun with it while you had it.
0 likesI am happy that COVID has only affected you taste and smell. My friend died only after four days in the hospital. You are so lucky
1 likeThis is so intriguing to watch! My mum and I both had covid (supposedly, it was back in January 2020) and I couldn’t taste anything for a while. This brings back so many weird memories. Hopefully your sense of smell and taste comes back soon! Take it easy.
1 likeI suppose the reason she can 'almost' smell the ground coffee is because she knows what it is and so her brain can create an expectation/interpretation based on sensory memory.
1 likei dont feel smells for a few months now and a doctor said i have to take 5 strong smells and sniff for 20 seconds, wait 1 minute 3 times a day, its getting better. I hope you get better soon
0 likesI want dodie to try that orange remedy everyone on tiktok said worked for taste and smell and let us know if it does!
9 likesHope you recover soonest. Love that smile.
1 likeI had Covid with this exact symptoms and it's seriously bizzare. I couldn't smell ANYTHING! Even the steam from boiling water with ginger in it. It's crazy!
3 likeswhen i had covid i completely lost my appetite, so now I'm sad i didn't try loads of things because having no sense of smell or taste is a whacky feeling
0 likesMakes for a damn entertaining video tho >.< XD love ya dodie
0 likesI can't imagine being so chilled about having covid. It must be nice to be young, healthy to and
4 likesfeel invincible even in the face of a deadly virus.

1 likeShe’s not taking it lightly by any means. She’s making the best of her situation.
0 likes@Fran H it just seems insensitive to me to make a “fun game” out of having a virus that has killed millions of people
0 likesI love how you just kept smelling 😂 but it would be my worst nightmare if I couldn’t taste my morning coffee or tea 😂 get well soon
0 likesI’ve never been able to smell anything (not COVID, literally can’t smell since forever) apart from like strong smells like inside a fish n chip shop or the worst fart in the world. I can still taste stuff but it’s kinda nice to know people know what’s its like to not have to have an air freshener or smth.
1 likeWhen u get COVID it’s like “oo haha lemme smell this for fun even tho I can’t smell it” but for me it’s like it’s been so long it’s so fucking annoying when people r like “smell this! Isn’t it lovely!” “I can’t smell, you know this” “smell it anyway!” “sniff sniff. I can’t smell it, as I said” “weird!!” Like fuckin listen to me the first time and don’t make me feel awful for not being able to smell
I got covid six months ago and still can't smell properly
21 likesDoritos taste like chemicals
I can taste salty and sweet but I can't taste the actual food like chips are salty but I CABTS FULLY TASTE THE CHIP
Bleach smells like rotten plasticine
Take care of yourselfs, you the lucky ones that haven't gotten it cuz IT SUCKS

1 likeWhen people from work clean the bathrooms they use bleach
@tealpolecats oh god okay I was worried there for a sec
1 likeHope you feel better soon beautiful dodie you sre still have amazing bubbly personality love you so much dodie
1 likeDuring COVID I had no appetite really, I fed on whatever shit there was in the fridge because nothing had a taste at all. Its not like a common cold where flavours are kind of there but behind a curtain, or they come and go or are hard to reach. With COVID your sense of taste/smell is completely deactivated, there's nothing at all, it was quite mental.
3 likesOne random day 7 days after I was diagnosed and after waking up from a 3 hour nap, they randomly came back. Flavours were a bit distorted for a day or two, and then all back to normal.
hope you’re feeling well soon dodie ):
0 likesIts reminding me of the miracle Berry taste test thing but like... covid
2 likesKeep breathing in scents that you know well, coffee for example and imagine what it smells like, almost being able to smell the coffee when you tried it was your brain reconnecting the cells or something- its called smell therapy. I did it multiple times a day with lavender essential oil for 3 days, woke up one morning coughed and suddenly could smell and taste lavender and then I was back to normal x
0 likesI knew I was in trouble yesterday when I couldn't smell blackcurrent after sticking my lil nose fully in the bottle and inhaling for a good 10 seconds. I've just been biting down on ginger and garlic easy. The weirdest thing was eating an orange, I never realised how much an orange's texture is like some saggy ballsack in your mouth, I want the tang back.
0 likesi could listen to Dodie talk FOREVER
4 likesHope you get well soon, and nice video :)
0 likesMan, it must be SO crazy to taste the general essence of something but not TASTE it. Hope you recover quickly, Dodie, but this video was still a lot of fun. ♥️
0 likesGet well soon dodie!
0 likeshi! congenital anosmic here! (someone who was born without a sense of smell!).
0 likesthis is so crazy to me, to finally have a resource of someone who has been able to record the difference between tasting with smell and tasting without. essentially what's happening is that you're feeling the physical aspect of taste (what happens when food reacts with particular tastebuds - sour, sweet, salty, bitter or umami), but not the olfactory aspect of taste which I never realised made so much of a difference (having never experienced smell).
I sometimes make youtube videos about anosmia, so once I get my act together I'm going to react to this and respond in depth xD
Try the burnt orange trick! Might not work but worth a shot🤷🏻♀️
27 likesHope you're feeling better soon Dodie! Covid is definitely not a fun experience. I had to add jalapenos to everything just to have a bit of flavour.
0 likesThis is fascinating to me - I can’t even imagine what it would be like
0 likesMy husband had COVID and I never did and this is still the weirdest part of it for me 😂
wishing you a speedy recovery love!!
1 likehope you feel better soon ♡
0 likessomething I keep thinking about, is that you'll never really be able to taste that again.
0 likesunless you get covid again, but like. it's weird that you HAVE to be sick to taste that specific taste. weird
I really really really hope you get your sense of smell back. My friend got covid months back and it still hasn't came back 😰
1 likeTruly fascinating. Entertaining but also shows how intense the senses get blocked from covid
0 likesThis is so interesting I wish I could turn off my taste buds and do this
0 likesI’m so glad that even when you have COVID you’re keeping yourself productive! Get better soon❤️
2 likesYou're a genius, Dodie! lol ... Good thing is you don't have to taste anything during singing. lol ... Hope you will be okay soon! Btw. This taste test would kill my stomach lol
0 likesplease do a part 2 of this where you try tasting sweet things! when I had covid, I found the BIGGEST difference in taste was sugary things. sugar just felt like I was eating sand it was crazy.
0 likesI lost my taste with covid and enjoyed pickled onions for the first time cause I couldn’t taste the onion ahaha
0 likesI caught COVID in February after getting a 2nd job and am now experiencing parosmia where everything smells bad or distorted so everything tastes bad or distorted. So I wear a swimmers nose clip whenever I eat.
0 likesMy grandma died from covid but I still enjoy the videos like this one. We are allowed to have fun with what we're given. I don't want covid to be a tragic thing to everyone. For someone it can just be an experience to overcome. I hope you get well soon.
0 likesYou'll have to taste all these again once you get better and compare.
0 likesI wonder how things would taste with covid and a miracle berry
Everything she does is so satisfying and cute...even when she's got co-weed🥲

Love how she's playing on the radio in Kansas, us, but I get to watch these videos too.

hold up where? what station? thats so exciting
0 likeswhen I had COVID I kept huffing from a jar of Vapour Rub begging my nose to smell it lmao I could taste things, but only barely. Once you're all better, you should do a sequel to this using those little miracle berry tablets that change your taste buds temporarily! I think the big brand is "mBerry"... maybe just for fun :)
0 likesI hope you feel better soon!

0 likesDodie's voice always calms me
0 likesawe dodie, sending wishes for u to be okay, glad your with friends though!
1 likeThe energy is very good abt everything in this one
1 likeYou need to eat all the same things when your taste returns and compare your reactions. Can't wait for the spoonful of mustard.
0 likesI think I had covid last December as I couldn’t taste or smell ANYTHING, I had no other symptoms which is why I’m unsure. But tbh that symptom is the worst because the feeling of eating certain foods but not being able to taste them is like torture. I once ate a grilled cheese and it was just the texture of the bread and cheese and nothing else, weirdest sensation. I’d recommend eating a bunch of spicy foods while your taste is gone because it at least adds some variety to eating, as you can still feel it’s spicy but can’t taste it

iZombie just became a lot more realistic 🌶🌶
0 likesBtw if you're in the UK you don't have to wait 8 weeks for your second vaccine dose, just go to a walk-in and you can get it as long as you're 3 weeks+. Some places are stricter but I got mine at 21 days at a walk-in in London.
0 likesWhen I got covid I was so afraid I wouldn't get my sense of smell and taste back, thank god I did!
0 likesI had COVID last year June and till this day I can't smell anything at all. The taste is not nonexistent but quite subtle is what it is.
0 likesget well soon dodie 🙆🏻♀️🙆🏻♀️
0 likesi lost my smell and taste for maybe only a few days i truly don’t remember how long but everything was so so faint i knew it was something but like i’d have to actually hurt myself breathing in to get any bit of “smell”
0 likesI Just - this was so wholesome
0 likesAnd funny
I hope you feel better soon
I could watch this all day lol
0 likesMy smell and taste are still off and it’s been over a year since I had COVID. My dog got sprayed by a skunk and I could barely smell it whereas my mom was gagging it was so bad haha
1 likethe idea of losing my sense of smell and taste is terrifying
0 likesi mean, obviously, being sick to the point of nearly or actually dying is worse
but light fever or dry cough seems more manageable than not smelling/tasting anything
hope you feel better soon, love! <3
0 likesi would literally never watch someone do a covid taste test but here i am :)
0 likesI love that you did all of this out of an egg cup.
0 likesi hope you feel better soon. it must be quite weird to get what stopped your life from afar. well get well soon <333
1 like4:50 - i hope you use a new spoon for this coz now that jar full of mustard is contaminated with COVID-19
2 likesI have Covid and this is legit me.
0 likesI mean when we say we can’t taste/smell ANYthing.

0 likesI have covid and I lost my sense of smell (not my sense of taste though) and it's a really bizarre experience to have
0 likesNot being able to smell anything is my life. I do have the ability to taste, although it is reduced and only medium to strong flavours get through. Spicy food rules!!
0 likesIt has it's advantages of course (the obvious ones) but the downside is I can't get the full benefit from food or food being cooked.
I luv you so much dodie! I hope you get better soon!
0 likesAw hope you feel better soon Dodie
1 likeDodie: can’t taste or smell anything….
0 likesAlso dodie: wow I cant taste or smell anything 😂
This is just unfortunately dreadful: Losing your sense of taste and smell.
29 likesi had the exact same thing where i could FEEL tastes but not taste them!!! i had something with lots of pepper sprinkled on and it hurt to eat bc i couldn't taste a damn thing but the little pains of pepper were punching my mouth lmao
0 likesPraying I continue to avoid covid till the pandemic is over lol
1 likeHope you get well soon!
0 likesomg I can't imagine having the sensation of the thing you're "tasting" but you don't experience any flavour
2 likesI cant imagine the stomach pains after that mix of foods. the mustard alone would kill my stomach
0 likesmy family and i had covid over christmas and we accidentally burnt our christmas dinner because we couldn't smell anything. it turned out okay, but most of the carrots had turned into charcoal...
0 likesI've ate a ton of chilli's.... hasn't done a thing. I'm absolutely devastated I can't taste or smell. Covid is the worst.
0 likesWhen I had covid the only things I could taste were Sriracha and lime, so I had one of those two things on every meal I ate
0 likesThis is so cool! 🤩 So basically, your taste is fine. You can still taste the 6 things we can taste: salty, sweet, bitter, sour, spicy and umami. But because all the other things we "taste" actually go through the nose and stimulate smell receptors, you only THINK you have no taste.
0 likesReplies (1)
This is true to some degree but not entirely. I know someone who has had no sense of smell since birth but she can taste more than covid patients who lose their taste and smell can.
0 likesQuestion: does the things taste like other things, or do they not taste like anything?
0 likesI don't know how I haven't seen any comments talking about "the absolute state of your poo" but that took me out lmaooo. Hope you get better soon <3
0 likesAhaaaa this is the weirdest part of having covid. I remember spending weeks trying foods and waiting for it to be more than just a sensation on my tounge and actually have taste again. Was the best thing when it returned but even 7 months later it's still a bit fucked, same with my smell
0 likesHope you feel better soon <333

0 likesI wish I had housemates like this

13 likesReplies (4)
I’d say… they’re not. But I think they’ve all been exposed already, so there’s not much point in trying to stay away from their roommate.
11 likesWhat are they supposed to do? Move out? Your household is supposed to all isolate. Which they're doing.
1 likeIt’s gonna be too late now
1 likeThey’ve already had it and they were all in close contact before dodie developed symptoms too. Because they’ve already had it they likelihood of them having it again is low

1 likeReplies (1)
Wasn’t that one of the first symptoms that came out tho? Other than, trouble breathing, generally feeling like dying
1 likeWatching someone eat a full spoon of mustard and not reacting at all is very surreal.
0 likesThe worst thing when i had covid was i had a burger and chips and beer battered onion rings and it tasted like absolutely nothing😭 it was like your burger analogy actually happening, a big, juicy burger but no taste at all! You should have one of those ginger shot things you like
3 likesI had pneumonia once, and the brioche tasted like butter. It just left a sensation of butter on my lips, but it was a bland taste...so weird.

0 likesTo the people slagging them off saying she should be isolating by herself. They all live in the same flat. If ones got it, the others are going to be exposed to it too
70 likesReplies (5)
And also per UK guidelines they all have to isolate for 2 weeks together 🤷♀️
9 likeswell the positive person should isolate in their room, quite simply because being ‘exposed’ to it doesn’t necessarily mean you will get it. The housemates could actually catch it on day 8 of the isolation, they would then all have to isolate for a further ten days starting from then, so as long as the three of them don’t mind isolating for up to 30 days they’re fine.
6 likesI can confirm that’s correct. When my mother had Covid I had to isolate a further 10 days after she ceased to be infectious.
1 like@Alice Fletcher this really only works if you don’t have to share a kitchen or a bathroom.
0 likes@sgtmian brilliant point, if possible the person isolating should use a separate toilet and should have food delivered to their door. Although, this can be difficult in housing such as student accommodation. In such cases, the person should aim to use the communal spaces after others in the house and should wear a mask and gloves, wipe down anything they’ve touched after use and keep windows open. At least this is what my housemate did when he was positive and isolating
0 likesI got COVID the day before Thanksgiving and I was the saddest boy at the table.
0 likesmy sense of smell is still not back to normal completely, 8 months later :( good luck dodie
0 likesThere’s a nice episode of the podcast Home Cooking by Samin Nosrat and Hrishikesh Hirway where they talk about what would be nice to eat while you have no taste and smell maybe that’s helpful :) there they also explain that food being spicy is actually not a taste. It’s more that your mouth is in pain basically lol
0 likesOhmygosh, that's got to give you an upset stomach afterwards.
1 likeY'all they're all exposed so they're isolating together, they're being safe besties

0 likesI had covid last year in march and ever since my smell has mostly come back but my taste has completely changed.

97 likesI was wondering about that as well. Are they both safe?
7 likesAhh, cheers for supportive flatmates! Take care! x
7 likes@doddleoddle there are rare cases of people getting re-infected, i know a couple of them personally, and their second time was actually worse. aka previous infection does not equal immunity. so as sad as it is, you should be isolating from your roomates, and they also need to isolate from other people.
21 likesIn theory they should, because getting covid once does not prevent you from getting it again.
17 likes@Jonathan Isip Truly god blessem
11 likesI know this is a weird one for all of us because covid is so universal that everyone has experiences upon which to base an opinion, but please remember that Dodie and her flatmates are grown ups and can make choices about their own health! I'm sure they're all doing their best with a tough situation :-)
28 likes@Sarah Tindle oh yeah, I'm not judging or telling them what to do, It's just recommendations (from many health organizations) that are known to be the most adequate in those cases and that I think are important to be emphasized! They know what they are doing and they are taking care of each other! I just wanted to emphasize this because I think it is important and valid information :)
11 likesWhy not moving to three different planets? ... in theory
0 likes@doddleoddle glad you are keeping your spirits up. But you should really be isolating from your housemates. I.e. you staying in one room which they don't enter. Ideally meals left by the door and where possible separate bathrooms. There is a small risk they could get covid again. I know that's tough on the mental health and so balance is needed. But please take care. And get well soon ♥️
0 likes@travelman1983 if they live together they’ve already probably been exposed anyway and they’re also isolating together – that seems really drastic and could really damage Dodie’s mental health

2 likesReplies (3)
The likely at least have their first vaccine considering their age group. Also when you live together it's so likely that you'll all get it because it's very contagious that you might as well just be around each other. They're young and aren't vulnerable (presumably) so the risk is low.
0 likesThey live together and you’re usually contagious for two weeks before you even know you’re sick. If she has it so do they.
0 likesThey’ve already been in close contact before dodie developed symptoms. They’re isolating together but they’ve already had covid so their chance of getting it is relatively low

1 likefuck covid must be bad if you can't smell truffle oil!
0 likeswhy didn’t she get the vaccine??
0 likesReplies (2)
Unfortunately the vaccine isnt 100 percent effective, also, in the UK her age group has only been able to book our vaccines in the last month. She had her first dose of phizer a month back but there needs to be a gap of a few weeks before your second dose so she most likely wasnt able to get it before this point.

It's not really doing that. She's not saying that other people should try to get covid to do this and she didn't try to get it on purpose. She just happened to catch it and thought this would be funny for other people to see. You're being overdramatic.
2 likesWHERE THE FUCK IS THAT JAMIE COMMENT

0 likesIt would be nice if in the future they didn't fabricate new viruses for us.

0 likesYeah, my dead neighbour was a paid actor too for propaganda purposes x
12 likes@Shannon yeah, the worst part was, as he did his acting very close to other people without the sold "guidelines" for protecting other people, according to CDC he not only transmitted the disease but cause the death to the whole crew.
0 likesyeah man they get youtubers to advertise... having covid?
5 likeswhere's the /j bestie??
2 likes@Jamie your comment seems to have disappeared but in any case, don't worry about me.

1 likePropaganda sure. So my friend who died from COVID must be paid by the government. All those confirmed deaths were nothing but lies orchestrated by the government.
2 likes@Jamie your comment might be deleted but don’t go spread your anti-vaccine lies here.
0 likes@Ale Lo so what’s next, you gonna tell me all past viruses were what, conspiracies fabricated by the yakuza? Cause the day anti vaxers are right will be the day Godzilla rises out of the ocean to destroy us all
0 likesI hope you get help, you most definitely need it. You realise COVID IS REAL and that others, like myself, caught it... right? I didn’t get paid anything and neither did my friends are family who caught it. I sincerely hope you never get covid, for your own sake.
1 like@Jamie Why don’t you send evidence. Cause unless you do, I’m just going to assume you’re another troll
1 like@America Chavez if I sent evidence, would you read it? Or would you just write it off as conspiracy nonsense that is not worth your time?
0 likes@Jamie depends on your source. If it’s from far Right Wing media or Facebook then no, I wouldn’t read it. Your source has to be something non-biased.
1 like@Jamie so? Where is your evidence?
1 like"If it's from a far right wing media then no'
0 likesThat says it all. Oh by the way, Facebook is on YOUR side.
@Jamie nope. Facebook is ran by Murk Zuckerberg who is a Republican and plus according to stats, most Republicans hang around Facebook spreading lies and yet calls Democrats liars. Pot calling kettle black much
2 likes@Jamie lol. You call that evidence? There’s so many sources from doctors to literally contradict everything from that link
0 likes@America Chavez Zuckerberg is part of the cabal. The left dominate the narrative, the US at this point is pretty much in the hands of bolsheviks. Scary times.
0 likes@Jamie and news flash, nothing you says matters cause she got better. Zuckerberg part of the cabal but yet he’s the one spreading fake news and telling people to vote for Trump. And if Dodie is lying, she wouldn’t have given you a shoutout on Instagram for your lies
