True that, and I especially adore remixes, cause I always enjoy others visions of an already made song, it's like a "what-if" moment that what would happen if let's say I created your song My Fluttershy in my own vision, this why I love the fandom honestly, some of the best covers/remixes I ever heard in my life.
Hey, I'm so glad you appreciate the cover this much. tbh when I saw your first (top) comment I initially thought you were trolling, because I didn't feel as though I'd managed to improve on the song at all, and I'd really struggled with the vocal....what you made is still beautiful and untouchable; this is just the best tribute to it I could muster. Thanks for everything.
Thanks; it's a good point. However this song isn't especially BB-esque in the first place and I wanted to keep a certain crispness that their songs don't always have because Brian Wilson's production style was so elaborate and huge...so I kept things less dense than they'd be if I was really trying to get close to that sound. I only wanted to reference it a bit, mostly in the instrument choices.
As I mentioned on Mando's channel, the chorus reminds me of "I Feel Fine" by the Beatles.
This cover does remind me a little bit of the Beach Boys. Here's a good way to get a better distinction of the two:
With your OOOOs and AAAHs, try and get a bass voice (or at least baritone) on two of your background vocals. Have one or two play tenor.
What set the Beatles apart from the Beach Boys was the Beatles were pretty much all tenor. The Beach Boys had bass. "In My Room"-BBs is a good example.
I love how you have your own very distinctive style within the pony music community. Every one of your songs is unmistakably yours. And your style just plain rocks. Thank you Replacer!
Seriously, Replacer? There hasn't been a piece you've done yet that I haven't absolutely loved. Please keep making your wonderful music and covering others'.
Ffffffff, grrrrr, I hate to agree with Mando himself but it is really good! even better then the original
Replacer gets extra points for mastering his music so well! god, it sounds so crisp and awesome!
I know right?! BUT that's the really cool thing ... if you write a song, and then someone covers it, but makes it better ... I mean, that's what we're supposed to do! Music and people and art are supposed to evolve, and I'm glad that my song could get such awesome treatment! It's fantastic :D
This just reminds me of a song by a certain band from the '60s, but I'm not sure which. I feel like the electric piano is similar to Ray Manzarek's in The Doors L.A. Woman, but I don't know. Regardless, we need more The Doors/MLP crossovers.
1. tbh I was trying to go for a kind of mid-60s beach boys thing, stripped back a bit
2. Hitchhiker's Guide, yes, Star Trek not so much. I probably should have started a new channel for ponies, ah well too late now
MandoPony and TheLivingTombstone both agreeing that a brony song is good? Dominian42, you must have truly created a master piece. Thank you for adding a bit more beauty to the word. Keep up the fantastic sounds.
Ah, that makes more sense. It still wouldn't hurt to get some baritone in those backing vocals. Either way, these songs are incredibly happy. I love it!
Star Trek I thought because of dominian it might've been. That was a race or alliance in there.
Also I was thinking that the vocals sounded enough like it that I thought you could do vocals for the Beatle Bronies.
when mando did this song...eh..not his best. i loved it because it was him, and well..cant hate mando's stuff.
then this.....HOLY MOTHER OF CELESTIA this cover....is in fact the best cover iv heard...since that one of Applebucking from some random chick...
good day you wonderfull person you
I can't help being reminded of Chowder because of the background music. I prefer the original rather than this, however. Still a great cover to make it sound more modern.
Good choices. Paul is best Beatle ^_^
I'm always up for discussing The Beatles, so message me if you'd like. I don't think we should be taking up anymore space in this comment section
I could just be being really picky. I'm a big Beatles fan, so I tend to disagree with anyone that talks about them, whether they're saying another band sounds like them or what their favorite Beatles song is
Replacer, your voice suits the song better, imo. Mandopony is still great, though! Great job!!! Love the way you sang the "Fluttershhhhhhhy"! Had me hanging for a bit.
@dominian42 2 things:
1: this sounds sooo much like a Beatles song
2: is your name a Star Trek and a Hitchhikers Guide reference or am I reading too into it.
Even Replacer's older stuff still holds up really well!

4 likesI didn't know the Beatles were fans of My Little Pony

1 likeOddly enough they did get me to sing on one of their songs, it's called 'Princess of the Sun,' and they nailed it.

2 likesIt is rare when a cover bests the original.
5 likesYour voice glides with the music in a beautiful way. Wonderfully done.

0 likesThis song is awesome and the style has a lot of potential!
0 likesThis song is giving me shivers, might be my over appreciation of music, or this song is REALLY good.

1 likeThis cover goes for a different sound period than the original, but it captures it just as perfectly.
0 likesMan, I have to admit I didn't like Mando's original that much, but that just blew me away. So much brilliance in one mind, it's unreal.
0 likessounds like something The Beatles could make, LOVE IT BRO. /)
0 likesI really liked Mando's original, but this in my opinion(and Mando's apparently) is better. Great work on this one.
0 likesThat one is one of my favorites by him! Yeah it's based on Paul McCartney's 'Let Em In'.
0 likesWe really need fanart of Fluttershy in 60's clothing now! It would also fit her perfectly.

0 likes"Replacer, I hereby take away your right to remake any song in the fandom" "On account of what?" "You always embarrass the original artists..."
1 likeBrilliant, love it :)
0 likesThis song is SOO fitting of Fluttershy.. good job! =)
0 likesA new Replacer song? Can it be true??! I can hear the angelic choir!

0 likesReplacer: Replacing original songs with his awesome covers since October 2010.
1 likeI can't help being reminded of Chowder because of the background music. I prefer the original rather than this, however. Still a great cover to make it sound more modern.
0 likesYeah, it reminds me of the Beatles or the Beach Boys. Another of Replacer's songs I recommend is 'Let Em In(Somepony's Knocking At the Door).
0 likesWhat is it about brony collabs that make them so magical?
0 likesEvery big Beatles fan is like that I'm sure. I know I am, usually. What is your favorite Beatles song BTW?

0 likesthis song reminds me of the beetles :/, but still awesome :)
0 likesWhile you are doing this beatles theme could you do "here comes the queen, doo doo doo doo, here comes the sun, Celestia, she's all right...."?
0 likesAw don't say that. I love your original! (Though this is good too.)
0 likesReplacer, your voice suits the song better, imo. Mandopony is still great, though! Great job!!! Love the way you sang the "Fluttershhhhhhhy"! Had me hanging for a bit.
0 likesi think it gives it a nice effect
0 likesToo hard to pick just one, but off the top of my head I guess I'd have to say Wait. I don't know why it never gets any love
0 likesOmg this sounds like the Beatles sang this :D
0 likesI like this one! Thanks for telling me about!
0 likesNo. They're both perfect.

0 likesI'm gonna have to listen to that one. It's on Rubber Soul right?
0 likesThe friendship.
0 likesSure thing! Forgot to ask, what's your favorite? (please don't say Eleanor Rigby)
0 likesThis song just screams Beatles to me for some reason.
0 likesWas about to yell at you, insisting that only the artist could declare such a thing. Oops.jpg
0 likesNot really, there's a difference between asking for a favour, and advertising, you just need to know how to interpret it.
0 likesWhy do I feel a Beatles vibe here? Was this intentional? Brilliant, fyi.
0 likesI now know which one I must check out.
0 likesJust Awesome!!!! i run a Dubtrot (mylittleDubstep) page and even know this in know way is Dubstep i loved it so much i posted it there anyway! lol
0 likesI can't decide which is better xD
0 likesShit, I think the tables have defiantly turned on my behalf. Do you have any tips for me? Aside from the whole don't advertise thing. :D
0 likesThe singing reminds my of the Beach Boys
0 likesMyyyohhhmyyyohhhmy- can't lie, great song!
0 likesThis is super hot. I could easily imagine this in an movie.
0 likesIt doesn't really sound like The Beatles to me. Maybe it's just the harmonies, which have - sadly - largely gone out of style
0 likesMandopony AND Thelivingtombstone say that this is almost, or is better than the original, how can it not have more views!?
0 likesGreat song but the vocals are a bit quiet...
0 likes*Apple.mov face* MORE MUSIC!
0 likes@dominian42 2 things: 1: this sounds sooo much like a Beatles song 2: is your name a Star Trek and a Hitchhikers Guide reference or am I reading too into it.
0 likesEleanor Rigby, in fact(Trollface jk). Lady Madonna is my favorite closely followed by Michelle.
0 likesI'm afraid to type a comment, I'm pretty sure no matter what I type, it's not going to a good enough of expression for my love of this.
0 likesWhy do I bother making a pony music playlist when I can just click "other videos by dominian42"?
0 likesThanks, same to you :)
