This honestly feels like something from Pink Floyd's earlier works. The instrumentals just... scream "Atom Heart Mother" to me. And that's a good thing, a very good thing.
Rather than just saying this song is good, I'll say what I like about it.
You wove the original lyrics and melody into the words at the end, creating a moment of past,future and present all in one. It really just drove the message home. That is what takes a song from being merely good, to a new level of quality. You are going to go far.

They got their cutie marks but they have yet to grow apart from it...This was a very pessimistic headcanon I had going on here, I remember writing this song directly after A Pony Like Me which was all loneliness and isolation. I think I'm getting on much better these days ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
