He wasn't deaf until he was 26. He almost completely deaf when he was 44 but later on he became totally deaf but still kept on composing becuase he knew how the keys sounded together. He had learnt playing piano by his father ever since he was 4 and presented his first paino show thingy when he was 8. He believed being deaf or his hearing loss couldn't stop him from composing. He died at 57 due to his hearing loss who later was found out as a sickness and illness.

The truth is, except a few moments like Hammerklavier, Grosse Fuge, String Quartet Op.131, the slow movement of A minor Quartet, they're random mumbling of a deaf, bad melodist (as L. Bernstein put it. "Beethoven tried to write a good fugue but never succeeded."). Whereas something like Mozart's Fantasy for mech organ in F minor K608, K594 have so much more clear, complex and sound structure and in String Quintet K516 in G minor, Adagio and Fugue for Strings K546, Masonic Funeral Music K477, not only is Mozart predecessor to Beethoven, he achieves far more depth. Even Brahms said that Mozart's 24th concerto is bigger and more powerful Beethoven's 3rd. It's objective fact Beethoven's 3rd doesn't contain chromaticism like Mozart's 24th. Even Beethoven himself admitted he would never write something like it. Triple concerto, Choral Fantasy, Oratorio Christ on the Mount of Olives, Mass in C etc.. Mozart's early works are bad? Seriously have you listened to Beethoven's works before age 30, except Pathetique? Just listen to the above mentioned works, ask yourself if they're the same in terms of choral, orchestral, contrapuntal writing as Mozart's early works such as Litaniae K243, Misericordias Domini K222, Missa Longa K262, Sinfonia Concertante K364. Even Giuseppi Verdi said that the finale to Beethoven's 9th is crap. Stop living in delusions. Beethoven was never in the same league as Mozart, Bach. That's why Haydn never praised Beethoven in the same way he did Mozart. And by the way Beethoven's middle and early quartets are even worse than Mozart and Haydn. Especially if you compare Mozart's Dissonance Quartet K465 with Beethoven's third Razumovsky Op.59 No.3. It almost looks as if Beethoven's is like second-rate copy of Mozart. Just listen to Haydn Op.76 and Mozart K421, K464, K465 and Beethoven Op.18 Op.59 quartets. You won't know anything if you don't listen.

So even though Beethoven became deaf, he had almost twice the lifetime Mozart had. Beethoven at least could write down the music conceived in his head in his late period, Mozart couldn't because he died before he could achieve his own late period or full maturity. People keep saying how it's impressive how Beethoven overcame his deafness, but in fact, Mozart was equally impressive how he composed so many masterpieces in his short lifetime, such as Piano Concertos No.20 in D minor, No.24 in C minor, Symphony No.41 in C major etc which influenced Beethoven, Hummel and Romantic era composers.

People (who don't even listen to Mozart and Haydn) always talk as if Beethoven's late quartets and piano sonatas are Beethoven's strengths over the two other predecessors. The truth is, except a few moments like Hammerklavier, Grosse Fuge, String Quartet Op.131, the slow movement of A minor Quartet, they're random mumbling of a deaf, bad melodist (as L. Bernstein put it. "Beethoven tried to write a good fugue but never succeeded."). Whereas something like Mozart's Fantasy for mech organ in F minor K608, K594 have so much more clear, complex and sound structure and in String Quintet K516 in G minor, Adagio and Fugue for Strings K546, Masonic Funeral Music K477, not only is Mozart predecessor to Beethoven, he achieves far more depth. Even Brahms said that Mozart's 24th concerto is bigger and more powerful Beethoven's 3rd. It's objective fact Beethoven's 3rd doesn't contain chromaticism like Mozart's 24th. Even Beethoven himself admitted he would never write something like it.

That's why Haydn never praised Beethoven in the same way he did Mozart.
And by the way Beethoven's middle and early quartets are even worse than Mozart and Haydn. Especially if you compare Mozart's Dissonance Quartet K465 with Beethoven's third Razumovsky Op.59 No.3. It almost looks as if Beethoven's is like second-rate copy of Mozart. Just listen to Haydn Op.76 and Mozart K421, K464, K465 and Beethoven Op.18 Op.59 quartets. You won't know anything if you don't listen.

No company will sue you for using a piece of music in a video. They will just claim ad revenue from the video or remove your video and strike your channel as of this version of YouTube. Most companies don't choose to do the latter as they gain more moneys through just claiming ad revenue and leaving the video as is.

For the other stuff, he's transforming the works to have new meaning and is only using roughly 30 seconds of the songs (which is considered sampling), so that goes under fair use.
