Wow, I was just having a headache about my application trying to get the programfiles folder programmatically and Enderman releases a video on it. What a weird coincidence. Also, UWP apps are installed in ProgramFiles/WindowsApps.
Most of the UWP apps are there, however, some of them are in Windows/SystemApps (in case of Microsoft Edge) and the settings are in Windows/ImmersiveControlPanel

System UWP apps that don't update through the store (such as the Windows Security app, Microsoft Edge UWP or the Settings app) live in the Windows folder.
The rest of the apps, updatable from the Microsoft Store, live in the Program Files/WindowsApps folder.

I think edge still works because there is a folder in windows with edge back-ups, And it's literally called "Microsoft Edge Backups (It is violation of windows policy to delete or change this folder)" They really want to have edge installed on your computer.

Paid solitaire? You can cut out the sector of your hard drive where the app is located (P.S. that is the way to get rid of Cortana; HDD only). Then get sol.exe, pinball.exe from an XP VM and run in compatibility mode because the Windows 10 theme sucks.
You can actually uninstall UWP apps( at least some of them) by using classic shell. I tried it.. It works well. Just in the classic shell start menu, right click the app and click uninstall.. I uninstalled an app called 'Messaging'. I know it is for phones, so why we need it in PCs?
BTW, that paid Solitaire thing is so annoying.. Like it literally plays ads if you play while connected. And asks to upgrade to premium for that.. So I uninstalled that garbage manually.. It is better to play Google Solitaire in phones or emulators rather than playing this crap

Either way, without the Windows folder the system will activate the fail-safe Recovery Mode in a seperate partition. I never attempted to delete that partition, since i never could enter it. Once you assign it into a letter, it's pretty easy to fuck up anything important.

0 likesYou can actually uninstall UWP apps( at least some of them) by using classic shell. I tried it.. It works well. Just in the classic shell start menu, right click the app and click uninstall.. I uninstalled an app called 'Messaging'. I know it is for phones, so why we need it in PCs?

@@justsomerandompersononthei2595 If i remember well, the system will block most of the delete attempts since some critical files are still running. Either way, without the Windows folder the system will activate the fail-safe Recovery Mode in a seperate partition. I never attempted to delete that partition, since i never could enter it. Once you assign it into a letter, it's pretty easy to fuck up anything important.

@@Saul_Soto82 That would only leave Explorer or Task Manager as the shells, so you can not do mess with PowerShell stuff. And it will kill the Command Prompt commands and batch files and most of command.com in ia32/64 versions of Windows running ntvdm. Everything that is a executable entirely independent of cmd commands will still run for the most part
