This came into my home page feed. It is pretty good so i left it on in the background. Her talking is pretty good and when i pay attention the story like stuff is interesting too. I do disagree that Blender is "limited" it just takes more time to get what she wants to have happen is all. It mostly is Blender with built in physics engine or Blender + Unity to get what she wants. For her data transfer thing i would suggest moving the files over the local network as a 1Gbps network is faster than moving everything to a hard drive to external hard drive to another computer. Having them networked together is faster. Again set up for the network is a thing. She has to have it on both computers for it to work and just in case she forgets something on the other machine as long as she has it she can just boot it up and take over the files. That is also a way to use the older one as a storage computer instead of a computer to use for holding everything she uses.
I do get that what i am talking about most likely requires her to have more IT skills than she has and/or use youtube videos a lot for setup instructions. The one of using a network transfer is the easy one the design, model and apply physics in Blender one is the hard one.
Thanks for the wonderful stream hopefully you’re doing well and staying safe
