It's different than mine...but I like it!
It really does feel like video game music.
It's too upbeat for when they first enter the ruins, but I don't think that's what you were aiming for -- something for after that time, like a second visit, right?
I think this could really work for that; the music is perfect for it.
Good stuff!
@SandJosieph Why thank you, I had no idea what prompted me to use those specific instruments. Other than the harpsichord and violin (which was an effort to sound slightly Bach-like, especially with the piano fugue at the end.) but I think at least the accordion was to add some quirkiness and give it some "Elfman" if you will.
Unfortunately I am not good at writing long pieces, they tend to get repetitive really fast.
@psychgoth - You should experiment more with key changes to get as far away from the main melody as possible and then try to write your way back. That's how I usually manage to extend most of my songs.
@SandJosieph Well I'm not sure how to do that exactly, the only times I've used key changes is at the finale to give it some bang. Could you show me an example of yours?
I dont know why but the first part for some reason reminds me of a stage in one of the Sly Cooper games. Though i couldnt say which one. Somewhere in Paris I suppose.
@psychgoth I never actually played luigis mansion until about 2 or 3 weeks ago, and Grabbed by the Ghoulies was on the original xbox i think :P check out the music from either of them and see what I mean
By me? That one was called "Luna's Repentance" and I've deleted it from Youtube a while ago. It's still available on Bandcamp though! Just without Luna's dialogue.
This reminds me of the music in the Professor Layton games.
0 likesI like your odd combination of instruments. You should definitely expand on this theme.

0 likes@PsychGoth how come you deleted it? And is there one anywhere with it still in?
0 likes@Kaysab11 I felt that it was badly made, and no there isn't. I don't even have the project file anymore.
