I don’t think the T pose is even similar to the dab. I believe the dab started as a football thing, and has always been extremely normie. The T pose more obscure, and can even be classified as an abstract meme. You’ll never never see a real person who does it.

I'd argue T poses are a thing since the early days of 3D gaming, so for me it still works in cases where it's not live human beings, or in very rare cases.

T-pose was an ironic staple, simply just being used to push the pure autism of some memes. Now, people added the "assert dominance" to it, giving it context and a way of being "lol funny", completely missing the point of the meme and making it worse by result, and adding a way for normies to grapple onto it....

Dude that 'is this ____' meme really had some great innovations that got pretty meta. Yes, it first looks kinda lame, but I really learned to love it.

The humor is extremely subtle, and without a solid grasp of theoretical physics most of the jokes will go over a typical viewer's head. There's also Emp's nihilistic outlook, which is deftly woven into his characterisation - his personal philosophy draws heavily fromNarodnaya Volya literature, for instance. The fans understand this stuff; they have the intellectual capacity to truly appreciate the depths of these jokes, to realize that they're not just funny- they say something deep about LIFE. As a consequence people who dislike EmpLemon truly ARE idiots- of course they wouldn't appreciate, for instance, the humor in Emp's existencial catchphrase "Downward Spiral," which itself is a cryptic reference to Turgenev's Russian epic Fathers and Sons I'm smirking right now just imagining one of those addlepated simpletons scratching their heads in confusion as Dan Harmon's genius unfolds itself on their television screens. What fools... how I pity them. 😂 And yes by the way, I DO have a EmpLemon tattoo. And no, you cannot see it. It's for the ladies' eyes only- And even they have to demonstrate that they're within 5 IQ points of my own (preferably lower) beforehand.

Sure there were other ways you could use it, but most people just wanted to steal jokes from the Peter one, cause they know it was funny the first time. Despite the fact that it blew up into normietown quickly, I don't feel so good had some super creative uses, and was definitely funny to me after just seeing infinity war. Eventually it was run into the ground with anything that died but when it was good or worked situationally it worked really well

The disintegration meme can actually be funny at times, I think it's mostly because it being paired with that Captain America one it fucked it up. A good disintegration meme is one of Stalin's bois being removed from a very historical photo or TB's top hat disintegrating.

I liked the T-pose, and I remember it being a fairly small internet meme a few months back, with the instagram meme page @link.sm4sh creating the T-pose tuesday trend. Its good to see no Spongebob memes. Also the "is this ____?" Meme was EXTREMELY scarce until this month, its a greato meme.

Edit: Also, I feel soon that the Simpsons memes are gonna lose their humor and become the new normie Spongebob meme. I like these vids, keep em up

the dissolving effect meme was funnier before it became an infinity war joke

T pose, yeah I agree with your statement of it being dab 2, but from a gaming background instead of mainstream one, it still looks funny because of glitches, since I played modded Sm4sh and the mods kept dicking around in one pose. T poses are kinda cool because of the way we use it in animation as a debug pose, then getting into that glitch with t posing, its supposed to be a bug we dont want, and later bastardisation gives it that ironic use. Another thing, the T pose looks like crucifixion so it gives off that ironic holiness, and I like to bastardise religious imagery anyway; I know that teh dap sometimes gets bastardisations of its own, but the imagery of things like "reclaim your birthright" and "assert your dominance" goes well with the T pose because of that aggresive holiness feel, so I feel it's a lot more layered in a way, instead of dabbing which came from more popular outlets of media. It, again, is still dab two but better executed, but as it remains within a less mainstream coverage, yet its doom on the Ellen Show shouldn't be too soon, or soon at all, just a lot later.
So bump that shit up to a D+ or a C-.

You know that T-pose is not a meme of this month? It has existed for a long damn time.

The problems with many new memes, I'm not talking about any in particular, is that too many have only a singular, predictable punchline that quickly gets stale.

Classic Simpsons clips make great memes. Classic Simpsons clips are often timeless and Simpsons will still be enjoyed for many generations (classic Simpsons that is). Also yea the hate hard on for young people grinds my gears, not all of us are awful. A lot of the time the young people hate comes from old rich media heads that hate the fact that we are replacing them and they can not take their money into their graves with them, both right and left wing but mostly right. They all hate change and can not cope with the internet replacing TV. I rather use my PC to watch what I want to watch then pre-planed media that the rich in charge see as "safe", also I can watch what I want when I want.

Personally, if you ask me, I think, the "I don't feel so good" meme only exists as an excuse to spoil the movie, and avoid getting a fuckton of hate. Because, knowing the internet, people will be hell-bent on spoiling something from a game or movie, just to attract viewers, either because people are just too lazy to watch the move / play the game, or because to attract haters for spoiling something, that just so happens that, said spoiler, happens to be on the thumbnail.

I've made a Captain America meme with some effort, and I am PROUD of it.



Can't say the same for the disintegration ones I made though. Those were honestly pretty bad.

I am not sure the dab comparison is called for. The T-pose has quite a different background, is forced unironically, has a strong aesthetic and invokes a lot of feelings different from the dab.
It also requires at least some attention span to make it distinguishable from usual arm flapping and that may deter some hosts and desperate politicians.

I think the only good meme this month was the "Bart Hitting Homer With a Chair," meme, I say this because the "Is This a Pigeon?" meme was easy to pull off and use (I only saw one actual clever edit of it) and I unintentionally avoided the "This is America," meme. I dont think T-Pose should've even been a meme, but I personally find it ironically funny. I really didn't notice the "Concrete Slab" meme.

The way I thought of it was that a T-pose is the default pose of most models in video games, without any animations. Animation could be a metaphor for liveliness and emotion. Without that, someone is just a static, emotionless model in a T-pose. I've noticed people at school just T-posing for no reason, and the way you put it, now I understand. I remember when people used models in t-poses chasing scared kids, which makes sense if you think about it like I did. To see it degrade into a literal pose is really sad to me. Kinda like what happened to "knuckles sings" when it became you-know-who.
