I find this weirdly nostalgic even though I have never gone to Wii shop.

Always had that satisfying sound of dishes being done or somebody cooking something. Or even just the sound of cars passing while the roads were wet.

Literally this. When Tomodachi life came out, I used to put my 3ds next to my pillow, listen to the clothing shop theme, and sleep happily. And honestly, the whole soundtrack can feel like that.

I most vividly remember the sounds of my old Nintendo DS. Playing in the back seat of the car during a long road trip at night, that bright white light along with that iconic little menu sound illuminating the pitch black darkness and the soft hum of the car. The world felt so different when every device wasn’t connected to wifi. It felt more intimate and isolated in a good sort of way. Miss those times

Just today I revived my old Wii from 7 years of inactivity. I'm going by a deep astounding deppression. You don't know how happy it made me watching it turn on for the first time in years. Again I have a reason to live until a complete all my games again.

The Wii was the first console I ever played, when I was only 3-4 years. I loved watching my mother play Mario Galaxy, Paper Mario 64 on virtual console, and Mario Kart Wii. Me and my older brother played Mario Kart Wii, and Wii Sports, and at our Grandparent’s house there was another Wii so we would run down and play Wii Party. If I ever had a chance to go back to any point in my life, I would go to this era. It’s crazy how we almost never know something is great until the years pass by.

It was the Wii U for me, but yet I still remember those peaceful weekend mornings where I would wake up go down stairs and wake to my mom making pancakes with bacon, and my little brother playing super Mario 3D world, and him asking: “wanna join?”. The nostalgia has never been this thriving with this video, thank you.

Angel, I got my Nintendo Wii back in Christmas of 2009. That was one of my best Christmases ever and the best era of gaming, really.

This brought me right back to sitting on the couch at night, perfectly content watching little pixelated Mario run across the screen and hit those blocks.

Born in 2004, my Godfather bought me a wii when I was 5, it was a priceless console back in time, I literally played in it so much every day before I got into internet, I would like to revive those memories of playing Wii Sports or any other game with my Mom or someone, I also liked the music and I admit it had some kind of relaxing effect.

Early 2000's consoles had a terrifying aura (PS2's RSOD, the music and SFX of the GC's dashboard, certain elements of the OG Xbox's dashboard, unreadable disc error video/DVD video track, hardware fault screen, not to mention the Xbox's sheer size), and I thought the title was referring to those.

I only experienced the aura of playing PS3 and XBOX 360, I remember playing battlefield 1947, Castle Miner Z, Super Meatboy, Battleblock Theater, and playing the old tutorials on minecraft, on the PS3 I remember playing, All stars, Little Big Planet 2 & 1, Minecraft Demo, Saints row the third, Battlefield 2042 and some game about where you can change the physics of everything in order to solve puzzles and the last thing I remember is some kind of pickle run game.

In fifteen years I bet kids growing up today will be nostalgic for Switch the way we early Zoomers were for the Wii.

If there's one thing I wish modern consoles had, it's atmopshere. Stuff like the Xbox, Gamecube, PS2, Wii, etc all cool little worlds in their menus. Modern consoles are just straight to the point and lack any real atmopshere.
