(Fallout Equestria fan music) Saviour: theme of Little Pip

This is an awesome piece. Except for the first stanza, which feels a little dark for the opening for Lil'Pip, the song fits quite well with the character. well played.

I really like how the music sort of "evolves" as it goes, mirroring Pip's development as she continues about the Wasteland. Very neat. Think you could make a theme for Calamity? You already have one for Pip, Velvet, and Steelhooves, it would only make sense to come full-circle. Plus he's my favorite character, so I'd like to see what you could make of him.

@Savci008 In this case it was the situation that brought you closer to the characters, and that itself was extremely heart wrenching. I don't want to give away plot points to the story, but it was well written enough that the situation had me shedding (manly) tears.

Again, this is wonderful stuff. I actually think it sounds kinda sad, considering the end of the last chapter. Again, well done. I'm totally buying this stuff when it's finished :)

I personally believe that "Stand Up and Fight!" by Turisas fits perfectly with Littlepip's quest to save Equestria.

@psychgoth I'm not the original commenter, so I can't speak for them, but after a friend got me to read the Spin-off "Project Horizons" I can rightly say it's absolutely fantastic, with perhaps the single most heart wrenching scene I have EVER read in Chapter 6 (I think it was)... it's up to chapter 22, and the author has done a fantastic job on it.

@psychgoth The Project Horizons side-fic is an awesome addition to the main story. I'd definitely recommend taking a look at it if you haven't already. It's worth the time investment. On a side note, I haven't subscribed to you yet, and I'm not really sure why. *subbed*

This piece would work very well for Steelhooves also. 1:11 would be where he first arrives, firing his Grenade Machinegun.

The french horn is this piece's highest point, but the whole thing fits very well. Another high point to me is 2:50 onward, I like that part as well.

Just checked the Bandcamp album. I'm left wondering which songs are FoE-related? I mean, obviously "I Will Fight By Your Side" is, but "To The TARDIS" isn't. So are we left to wonder amongst ourselves which songs are related to which fandom, or...?

@nerfheardingfuzzball Probably the same thing that allows spoken words too. Subtle audible nuances that inflict ideas on our minds. I always use music to help me think up ideas of fics. Just close my eyes, turn up the volume, and try to imagine the events unrolling with the music.

@psychgoth Length requirements, chapter on DA is 1000 words, but EDaily need to be at least 2-3K. So DA chapters get paired up and submitted to EDaily in one go. It's doing well so far, 4.8 stars.

Oh Littlepip, sometimes I simultaneously love and hate you. The somewhat "corrupted" or "imperfect" personality makes her so much deeper. At one moment, I could be cursing her for having a thing for Mentals, and then rooting for her as she does what I hope is the right choice. And for where I'm at in the story, three-weeks has probably filled her experience with more killing than any one person should go through... I wonder how even motley raiders can't take someone fresh out of a Stable...

Is it strange that i thought the same thing for both Littlepip and Steelhooves?

Littlepip is such an interesting character. She is truly a kindhearted soul, but the story highlights how she needs to deal with her own inner demons to get where she needs to, and how she is fully aware about how she is being torn apart by the good and bad spectra of her own personality. What I really like about this music is that it really does seem to highlight that inner struggle that Littlepip has, while still contributing to the overall dark theme of the story. Props to you!

Are you kidding? This is a crappily mixed track. Do yourself a favor and invest in a DAW meant for more than just beats. Get Cubase, or Logic if you want to write both orchestral and electronic. Once you've got that, get some good orchestral libraries. The Kontakt library and maybe East West Symphonic Gold would be enough to start you off. These will be basic until you can afford more luxurious libraries though.

No, if that's the case then buying the programs would be a waste of money. You need a high performance computer to work with music seriously. I (went cheap) bought a 2012 Quad core macbook pro and put 16 gigs of RAM. I also bought a 2 Terabyte external hardrive with firewire 800 capability. I should have gotten Thunderbolt, but I couldn't afford it. You need to keep your library samples on an external hardive because the strain will destroy your internal drive.
