There was definitely some production stuff taken directly from the studio version. And there were more voices than just them. I think dodie is too much of a perfectionist to not take the parts of the rich arrangements that dont work live

we played along to some track parts (so like the stems of me goin “nope” and some harmonies etc - tho orla and Pete doubled them) (we tried using a sort of vocoder to do live harmonies but it didn’t rly work bc I sing such short phrases it didn’t quite pick it up)

This is when I can’t find anything that isn’t stunningly perfect in this video (sound, colours, vibes, dresses, flowers etc) that I realise how much Dodie really is my favourite artist of all arts and times
I’m far too old to be the target audience for this - but I absolutely love it!! So much originality and talent; it’s a team effort and that’s where Dodie is super-smart - surrounding herself with the best people from musicians to stylists to all the other creatives and production. Brilliant!
This version of songs is the best I’ve heard. The slight variations in vocal timings, tho slower cool girl tempo gives it some weight. It was live! Might need to buy some tickets…
