Great experience comes with great loading times (The Last of Us)

What about Dead Space 2 and 3? A short loading time then no loading time in the whole game.

Yeah, but its pretty impressive how the game engine is still working, i mean even on those elevators you can move and move like every part of the game.

I remember the initial load time on my PS3 took forever to load the game. It felt like an eternity.

@***** Overhyped games: watch dogs, Dragon Age: Inquisition, assassins creed unity, farcry 4 (I think), etc. The last of us actually did keep its promises, more so than the typical overhyped game anyway. Because nobody ever says why they don't like certain games/why certain games are good, I am forced to believe they say this because of bandwagon mentality. You can notice this in a lot of top en lists. For example, if the game is Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time (a game I own and have played on my 3ds), people tend to exaggerate immensely about how good certain features are, to the point where they even leave out other qualities that made the game stand out such as entertaining combat and well-thought out difficulty curving. I have even brought this up on some top 10s. What usually followed was about 10 or so people bombarding me with shitposting, trying to attack my character, calling points that are irrelevant to my actual argument fallacious even though they're facts opposed to opinions, thus proving nobody knows what "fallacious" means, and a lot more random bullshit I have to put up with. I'm not very fond of this community, if you couldn't tell. :P

I just bought a used PS 3 to play The Last Of Us and it's stuck on the loading screen. I bought 6 other games which all work so I don't know what's going on.

+Floppy mcdoogan (Floppymcdoogan) alright, the multiplayer is the tits I can agree to that, the story's not the best because it really just reuses a lot of stuff that has been played out in anything with zombies but that's understandable because zombies have REALLY been overused. But, the protagonists relationship is very entertaining and done really well which is a huge plus and was made even better with the great voice acting. The game looks great, but tons of other games look just as great (and personally I prefer games that try their own style and look rather than look super realistic). This game, gameplay wise, controls almost identically to the tomb raider from around that time. I say almost because tomb raider did it MUCH better, because laura controlled way better. The worst part of this game though, was that whenever i would play I felt it was funnelling me down a path which really took me out of the immersion and occasionally you would come along a truck or something like it and climb on it but in a different area it would be the same thing but you couldn't climb on it which was not only confusing, but made me really remember that i was playing a game. And the final and last(of us) part of this whole long boring comment which I put way too much effort into is that the puzzles in this game were boring and just plain uninspired. It's a great game and I feel like it's a solid 7/10 but it's most certainly not one of the greatest games ever made.

@ChiliNinjaTheCactus The way they delivered the so called "zombie story", was still very original and unique. You not preferring the realistic visuals is still your preference. making realistic visuals is also much more difficult than cartoonish visuals. Tomb Raider controls are not "better". it's fitting for it's lightweight gameplay style. The Last of Us feels more grounded and heavy. Puzzles? The only thing i can agree on, is the invisible walls, though, no linear realistic action adventure game has done it better, because it's impossible to make an excuse for every path, so technically they took the best approach on it.

ChiliNinjaTheCactus I agree with you I don't know why is it that people loose their shit when someone say it isn't the greatest game ever made.

Maybe he plays a PC that isn't suited for this kind of game, whereas PS3 is a real gaming console. Also, there were no in-game loading screens.
