So many things I could say but I'll just say this. You know what I do for a living. Every single project, no matter how simple or complex could be a case of total failure, complete fuck up on my part. I can't think about that, I just have to do what I know how to do and hope it all works in the end. It usually does work but, if you want to hit me up on Discord I can tell you a fairly long story of a recent example where it didn't work. Also, it seems to me that as long as you stick to the mounting points and don't modify the frame / undercarriage of the van it's not a problem. You might waste some time and material but you can always go back to stock.
I'll also say that I feel you on the motivation thing. Some days I can't get into it. "Time to come up with creative solutions to problems" is a far cry from "Time to make the donuts." :D
