Interesting fact about this song: Miley caught the attention of Mikhail Gorbachev on an international broadcast that only Soviet Leaders had access to. When Gorbachev came to visit Regan, Miley was asked to perform at the dinner. Miley wrote this song "Party in the USSR" as a celebration that tensions are easing between the two super powers. Eventually, the notice of partying and western culture opened up after that dinner. Some historians attributed this song to doing that. That's how we got Pizza Hut in USSR soon after.

The song is regarded as one of the greatest cultural hits from the state-promoted De-Captalization movement, and it was personally commissioned by the Administrative Governor of the U.S.O.A at the time, Shawn Carter AKA: Jay-Z.

It is also one of the few english songs from that period that don't mention or glorify the victory of the Red Army over American forces during the Liberation War (1991 - 1997), helping to solidify the themes of Soviet-American cooperation being pushed by the USSR in the early 2010s.

On July 26th, 1987, the cold war was cooling down. But people were still afraid of it heating up again. So, Miley Cyrus made two songs, one called "Party in the USA" and, the one you are listening to right now, "Party in the USSR", this song was the first time in ages something from the west was allowed to exist in the soviet union, and it inspired Gorbachev to also allow pizza hut and McDonald's to exist, but people saw it as Gorbachev becoming capitalist, so, they overthrew him, and that made the Soviet Union collapse, and that's how ladies and gentlemen, a song by miley cyrus accidentally made the USSR collapse.
