MLP is Ending...What Happens Next?

Glad you're still gonna be doing mlp content after G4 is over Lotus, and you are right, G4 maybe ending but that doesn't mean the fandom will be ending anytime soon, i mean i for one see this as not just an ending i also see it as a new beginning for the fandom generation 5 will be a new frontier for us to explore, and just like yourself i also look for to watching G5 and seeing what it has to offer.

MLP ending...will bring the entire fandom heartbreak.

As an original Trekker, I can tell all of you that MLP fandom will continue to "live long and prosper"

I am really saddened by the news of how season 9 will be the very last season of MLP, especially since I'm still reacting to the series. But that doesn't mean I'm going to leave the Brony fandom, and stop making MLP: FIM content anytime soon. Both MLP: FIM and the Brony fandom changed me as a person positively, and even helped me with conquering a phobia that I was very ashamed of and had plagued for most of my life. So I'm going to continue being a brony because I owe the fandom a debt for changing my life for the better.
And I will give G5 the benefit of the doubt, but there is one thing I do hope about it. I hope it is as great as G4, and doesn't go down the same path as G2 and G3 of turning very girly and lovey-dubby. If it does, I'll just binge-watch G4 multiple times.

But we still have EG it's not over yet to see our mane characters saying goodbye to us.

Glad to hear that you'll still be doing MLP content for the channel even after G4 is through. I'll still be doing MLP art over on my dA page, too, so that'll be something to fill the void. I'll admit...it DID hit me pretty hard after reading the news. The show has been an escape from reality for me ever since my dad became sick in 2009, when he passed away in 2014 and for 4 years after the fact. The show had come at a very difficult time, so yeah it may not be the same after everything is said and done, but who knows, maybe G5 will be just as good if not even better. :3

Yep it's a little bit sad for us all I as a kid remember the nightmare fuel g1 and g2 if it wasn't for my 5yr old grill I'd never would have gave this g4 a chance but glad I did. Love ur readings and hope to hear more

personally this was one of the best (only) fandoms Iv been apart of and reading all of the stories
comics and watching the show made for some fun and happy times but even tho this gen maybe
ending I'll still be listing to all the old readings I have saved and give G5 a view or 2 as I did with G4
but the style of animation of is what I liked alot about the show in the beginning....
so heres to the future good or bad

A huge part of the fandom does like the fandom equal if not even more than the show, so It's not the end.

Plus there's always fanfics, animations and comic.

The fandom will live on. Sonic X ended more than a decade ago and it's still my favorite childhood cartoon.

I would rather let a show end as something that is beloved than to have it live on long enough to become something hated.

I'm sure the staff wouldn't dare end it without letting it go out with a bang

the show may end but the magic of friendship in the hearts of all us bronies will live on and i super hope the final season and the dnding will be a super cool one to remember and i hope the new movie and the g5 will be good

the show may end, but that doesn't mean that the fandom ends to. we can still pop out all the creative content, fanart, fan music and audio dramas we do. and since the MLP show ends at season 9, that pretty much gives us the fandom a lot more creative freedom, cause now WE can determine what the future of the MLP universe is going to be.

Even though G4 is ending, it makes me wonder if they are going to continue making those mlp shorts they've been doing lately...i mean after all they are going to continue EQG so it makes me wonder if they'll still be doing those mlp shorts as well.

Hey lotus think of it like the playstation that came out in the early 90s to late 2000s to playstation 2 then playstation 3 the playstation 4 all good thing come out they were really good systems but everything gets better and better with each upgrade a k a mlp is going from gen 4 to gen 5 I hope this gen has the same poines in it but gets really good as the gen 5 season goes on

Gen 4 will always be home. I agree. This is not the end of the brony fandom. Mlp gen 5 idk what to expect I just hope it will be good for everyone to enjoy like gen 4 I’m still gonna miss gen 4 though. No doubt that but I think to ended with season 9 than having it continue cuz if they did it would’ve been like a few other shows that continues that fans have left

I know that every mlp fans are not happy that MLP is ending in 2019. It should end on it's 10th anniversary in 2020. That should be when the show should in a Spectacular End Event!! I think Hasbro story writers have lost it sparks as well as the top Executives of Hasbro. Of making the show last longer. They could not come up with more stories for MLP? It is very sad to see it end. But I'm happy that they are MLP FANFIC writers out who are not letting MLP die away from them.
