This is beyond amazing! I´m a huge fan of both MLP and Doctor Who and this song is fantastic and sooo catchy! Happy Season 4 everypony and a great 50 Year Anniversary Special for all Doctor Who Fans! This saturday rocks!

I can understand how emotional it was for him. He put his soul into the project.

I can't stop listening. Dr Whooves is officially one of my favorite ponies now, and this will always be his voice in fanfictions I read. =D

The orchestral score of this is amazing.

I really love this song. I love music, I love MLP, and I love Doctor Who.

My only criticism for this song would be the vocals. They sound slightly forced in certain areas. For example, The Doctor's high note at the end of the phrase "paragons of greatness." It is a very impactful note and it adds to the song very nicely. However, you can hear in his voice that he's forcing it out. Of course, it's very slight and since he's a guy, it makes since the high note would be the problem, but it's there. I can find this kind of slightly forced sound coming from multiple moments in the vocals.

It's not a major issue, just something I noticed. Especially if you take into account that Derpy and the Doctor probably aren't musically well-trained.

Other than that, this song is wonderful and amazing.

I like the Verses after the first rendition of the chorus. Ditzy and the Doctor's proclamation of friendship is so heartwarming.

Doctor's voice is amazing, and I love how you captured the Dr. Who feel in the music itself!

Can we please talk about how glorious this is because it is. Being a Whovian as well, it's just perfection.

The Doctor really does need someone like Ditzy in his life. He's too sad, even when he's with his other companions... But I can really see Ditzy just bringing him out of the dark, and the Doctor bringing her out of her funks as well.

This fan project continues to exceed my expectations at every turn; the Doctor Whooves videos are truly a delight.

Imagine Ditzy as Amelia. Once you do that, she would basically lead the whole story line (if it actually continued as a full fledged series).

Actually, for those who say Ditzy and Derpy are 2 different ponies, she is, and isn't. Her original name among the staff and animators was Ditzy Doo. But when so many fans called her Derpy Whooves everywhere else, it became Ascended Fanon, and she was re-named Derpy.

For some reason, listening to this makes me want to make a Homestuck/MLP crossover featuring the Doctor and Derpy as the Lord of Time and Aide of Space. If Derpy's powers were anything like Jade's, she'd ironically be the most powerful pony in existence. Would it be possible to get an instrumental version of this? Such would be better suited to animations. I realize "To the TARDIS!" is more or less an instrumental version of this, but this seems somewhat upgraded.

Derpy was actually mentioned as her name in The Last Roundup, and in the original version of Smile Smile Smile she was apparently mentioned as "Derpy Doo". So though I call her Derpy, the way I see it (since Hooves is only fanon for the moment) is that her real full name is Ditzy Doo, but Derpy is her affectionate nickname. Issue solved!

I would do SO MUCH for someone to make an official spinoff show to MLP featuring the background six, or even just Doctor Whooves and Assistant. T'would be glorious. And I'm not talking about some animators and voice actors to make a new episode every couple of months or weeks, but I mean a full-time, professional production crew to make it. Actually, Derpy was originally supposed to be named Ditzy Doo, but there were so many fan requests for her to have the name "Derpy Hooves" That they went with that instead. As well, Dinky Doo is her daughter's name.

This is inspired by the "Dr Whooves and Assistant" audio-drama series, in it, Derpy is named Ditzy, but the Doctor calls her Derpy as a nickname (unless she is pissed, then she doesn't let him)

I am an avid fan of Doctor Who myself. The canon name assigned BY HASBRO is Doctor Hooves. The reason they had to make it like that is because they didn't want to get smacked with a copyright for making the name too similar.

Well Keiko hit's a high G4 and Piercey hits a G5 they're very dramatic notes when sung this way imo.

Ok, I did some research on this (googled it). Derpy is the original fan given name and Ditzy was a suggested name by the producers, who eventually just went with Derpy. Also, the filly who looks like Derpy I thought was called Ditzy is actually called Dinky Hooves...this suddenly seems really complicated.

Dr. Who doesn't really do songs apart from very good background music. MLP FiM has many pieces that range from catchy to heartwarming. Put the two together and the multifaceted talent of bronies and you have a song that the Doctor WOULD sing!

Well, in "The Last Roundup" She was called Derpy. Ditzy could be one of several backround Pegasi. So, I rest my case.

To be fair here, the one time she is directly spoken to by name she is refered to as "derpy" though it was later edited this is the only real official name we have really. All other names are speculative as of now, but you can have a blast saying ditzy.

Actually, Derpy has become canon and then got removed again. Both is kind of "official" now with the exception that we didn't totally know if Derpy was meant when they said "Ditzy" in Winter Wrap Up episode. Short: It MIGHT be Ditzy, but it was confirmed Derpy by Hasbro for a short period.

In the second verse it says; 'but even so you're still my best friend I'm honoured Ditzy,' when they sing; 'but even so you're my very best friend I'm very honoured.' it's very small and barely noticable though.

Derpy and Ditzy are one in the same. You can call her whichever seems right to you.

I have to say there are many times when Keiko sounds... you know... meh... BUT!!! then again he also sounds great alot of the time as well, its kinda on and off. Smoulder always sounds great but then again she just sounds natural while Keiko has to worry about getting the proper English accent out of many right and also get the inflection right which in itself is a challenge, but in this he just sounds boss!!!

Well, you're sort of right, both Hasbro And Funko (Who do the show accurate figures) refer to him as Doctor hooves, But Hasbro, Gameloft and Enterplay refer to him as 'Time Turner' and most of the Fandom call him 'Doctor Whooves'. And a minority call him Doctor Whoof, but i use that for the hourglass pegasus in sonic rainboom, who looks like my favourite Doctor, the 8th.

its both. the creators called her Ditzy Doo originally and we bronies dubbed her derpy hooves. either is correct to use when refering to her as this show plays at. teh creators even tried to aknowledge that when they aired the episode where she talks and originally had her called Derpy by RD. but a handful of quick to be offended mothers petitioned to have the episode changed believing Derpy was an insulting term towards mentally handicapped people or the like.

The sole thing that I don't like about this song: the fact that Derpy is called Ditzy. The things I do like about this song: everything else.

Pffffthahahahaha. Okay, for those who are interested by this, some clarification. Doctor Who isn't a movie, it's a television series produced by the BBC, now in its 30-oddth season. Start with the beginning of the reboot. Derpy has very little to do with the show, characterization-wise. Most of the Doctor's companions are more active and basically go around saving the day when the Doctor inevitably screws up. They cycle out every couple seasons, for various reasons. But then, so does the Doctor.
