Acanthe was a French Classic Rock/Prog band in activity in the mid-'70s (73rd to 77th), but this was never reflected in his music on the official release. For unclear reasons, this band never got an effective opportunity to properly publish their work.
Well, more than 30 years after its dissolution, the band's merits were finally recognized (and assembled) by the homeland record label Musea, which continues the long tradition of recovering some of the long-lost, rare and unsigned progressive rock bands of the period in time.
The first set of conclusions that the listener can take while listening to Someone Somewhere is that it seems really strange that this band never had their work released while in activity, because the band shows composure and talent that goes beyond many truly signed bands from that time. Then it becomes inevitable that the listener wonders how many more bands with (at least if not more) this quality is lost in time, without the chance of their work (finally) being recognized.
