There are several bands called Monument.
1) Monument is an offshoot of the British hard rock band Zior, which released two albums in the early 1970s. Their only album, “The First Monument” (1971), is the result of an all-night, drunken jam session featuring four members of Zior. The album features a heavy, distorted sound soaked in Hammond and Zior’s trademark occult lyrical theme.2) Monument is an emo band from Washington, D.C. Founded in 2006, Monument combines the sounds of American football, Braid and the like, culminating in badass with the invention of a complex guitar and unique vocals. Their shows are really loud. The monument is rooted in the tradition of rock bands of the 1960s and 1970s. The Who, The Rolling Stones, The Beatles, as well as Free and Humble Pie.
Monument is committed to experimenting with sounds beyond accepted rock form, as shown in the new song “Paint My Fate”. The band stands for a dance-oriented song similar to U2. They are still dedicated to capturing the mantle of rock'n'roll with melodic hooks, harmonies and epic guitar riffs7) Monument was a death metal band from northern Germany. In 1995, they released two EPs: "Inobscure" and "Kainsmal".
8) Formed on the streets of East London by vocalist Peter Ellis (Ex-White Wizzard, The More I See), MONUMENT brings back the sound that has been missing in the UK for almost 30 years ... Real British heavy metal!
