Use your ears and logic people. The tape hiss and motor sound comes from the VCR. If this was one continuous clip, the tape hiss and motor sound would be consistent. That's why people should be calling it fake, cause the clip comes from a different tape or was edited to sound old separately. I don't even know why the channel owner bothers with that. I had to use a very old VHS tape to record a show on over-the-air CBS when they pulled from DirecTV. Looked aesthetic, but even after going through antenna and tape the audio was still pretty clean. This video is over the top.

@harrysemps/TCG This could've been recorded from another Tv and/or station, a lot of the older tv's didn't catch all of the broadcast, and sometimes stations will cut the commercial early on (This used to happen pretty frequently back in the the day, and it still does but not as common as previously)

@CanYouNotMyDude That is the only clip in the entire video not consistent. I would understand slight changes, but it's a dramatic change where the audio isn't even formatted the same. There is an inaudible 1hz signal throughout the entire clip except the lego city commercial. If you used an audio editor with snap to zero crossing, you could latch on to the full Lego City commercial. Delete it and you could keep cutting away until the waveform is all above the middle line. the term is called time cliping. the network is responsible for airing an ad. every free second of airtime between programs for most networks is up for grabs. companies can advertise as little as 2 -5 seconds on tv and up to those hourly informercials. I used to remember those zoo book / lots lots if train commercials sometimes getting time clipped to only show the phone number and order now.
Back when nick magazine was still running they would sometimes clip those to the phone number too.

If you look at the waveform and spectrograms in an audio editor (screenshot: https://m.imgur.com/gallery/oGAf5Qm) you can tell this isn't even recorded on the same VCR. This was clearly pasted in. Throughout the entire clip, the audio is above the middle line of the waveform. Then the Lego City ad cuts in where it is sitting in the middle. Additionally, the tape hiss in the two clips are different, you can hear it clearly. Skip to the commercials before and after the Lego City ad. Then skip to the Lego City ad. You can't hear the motor. Other than that, there is a line at the very bottom of the spectrogram near 0hz. That line doesn't go through the Lego City clip.
