@@blacwido3954 Personally, I always interpreted that line as that Celestia and Luna were born before Equestria (the country) was founded, and that they were born Alicorns, but I can see how that would be a valid interpretation as well.

@@stealthlizard1232 One of the writers confirmed that Celestia and Luna weren’t born Alicorns and it was mentioned in the season 6 premier. At first I thought when Celestia said an Alicorn was never born in Equestria, that they were born somewhere els, but no Equestria is just another way of them saying the entire world.

That explains why Rarity says “What in Equestria was that?” in the season 5 finale.

@@ronaldpagar6513 idk, based off the movie alone there wasn’t a “leader” anymore, just the three kingdoms divided. Either she passed away and this is set centuries later (could be cause of their technology advances) , or she is in hiding. Technically hiding is also possible because if Luster became a alicorn, we know from G4 that alicorns can live for 1,000’s of years. But we dont know for sure cause this mainly applies to born alicorns like Celestia annd Luna, not transformed alicorns like Twilight or possibly Luster.

@@blacwido3954 I can only hope you're right, but I've been burnt too many times by the writers of today's shows and movies to give anyone the benefit of the doubt, my trust needs to be earned the way g4 did. Until then I'll have my doubts.

@@drom5970 That’s true they aren’t gonna exist in this mini series. Now if they don’t end up existing in Make Your Mark that’ll be confusing and wouldn’t be right, because they’ve already told us G4 and G5 are in the same universe, my assumption is that the windigos are locked away from a method we have yet to be shown in the show.

And it’s certainly possible they somehow found out how to lock them away, look at what they did to the everfree forest.

Easy, they don't exist. Just like the windigos and every thing else related to g4 they weren't aloud to transfer over.

@@raexjl3008 shes not pinkie though. She was inspired by pinkie but shes not her clone. And shes quite smart and knows when to shut her mouth in important parts of the movie. While Pinkie wouldnt and get them into trouble.

Izzy was a non-entity in 3 of the shorts [the one were she reminisces of her own departure from her native town was "on point" for her character, but it was not "the point" of the episode].
. The only one were she was actually relevant is not even an episode about HER, but rather how the other 3 mares perceive (and misunderstand) her aparent "excentricities".
-> We have not seen yet an actual episode "about" either Izzy nor Hitch.

The fact that you're actually taking this quite obviously a pony life like seriously is both funny and sad. Cause if this was the final product for Izzy, it would literally be them throwing all that character development from the movie down the drain 🤣🤦

@@somedudewhodraws9377 The "you know it's meant for younger teens/older kids" sentence sounded like the excuse people use whenever someone criticises a kids' show, regardless of if that kids' show has actually crossed barriers into something more mature and sophisticated, of which MLP has. If you just mean that the standards for quality were reduced simply for the younger audience, then I agree, which is why I said it was just gonna be another Pony Life until we got the actual show.

I didn't have high expectations for this regardless, as it's not much different from Pony Life. And I think we're will past the whole "It's just a kids show" excuse after how much the franchise has matured and expanded in the past 12 years.

@@drom5970 It was kinda wrong though... the thing is, people are criticizing it, everywhere I go fans are keeping track of every single breath G5 makes, just the sheer amount of people I've came across that were having a rant because G5 did something that they didn't want is staggering.
it's just in your opinion that it's that bad, that's not the case for everyone though.

And If a lot of people don't criticize it that means they aren't seeing what you do, because they formed a positive take and disagree, so if you think it's a cash grab, not everyone's going to think that and therefore not criticize it much because they believe it's fine.

@@darkrain1612 that came out harsher then I ment, must have been tired. But it's not exactly wrong. Basically g5 is low quality writing standing on the shoulders of nostalgia. I wouldn't be so stubborn about this if more people were willing to call out the bad and not just fan out over stuff. It's OK to like something and criticize it. That's the only way to improve.

And what G4 shorts? Are you talking about pony life? If so..a majority of the fandom doesn't really think those are equal quality. If you aren't then I didn't know G4 had other shorts.

Well yeah it's simplistic and childish, it's five minute shorts which even the creators themselves said they weren't meant to have much to them. Sometimes things can be easygoing slice of life stories, nothing too complicated, just a calm show.

Why do you think TYT would do all that? It's obvious it's just a set of small shorts that are meant to entertain people and kids, there doesn't need to be any massive lore and etc, just something that would make you smile or chuckle as you go on with your day, personally I would wait for Make your mark to do those things, since that's the main series after all.

@@darkrain1612 the animation is part of the problem I admit but it's more then that, it feels like they are mixing g3 and g4 both in art and story. And I know it's not the full show just some side story setting up for the show but look at g4 shorts, 5hey were of equal quality to the show. The writing is very simplistic and childish. They know how strong the brony Fandom is and the large age range of the Fandom that will be watching after g4. They should also know we will compair what they make to g4 especially especially since it's a continuation within the same world. Still no hint of what the show will be about still no explanation or even questioning why things are so different then g4 even though they say it's the same world.

I don't see how it's bad, if it has anything to do with the animation then that doesn't mean the shorts themselves are bad
