(I cannot confirm that information, but it looks very much like this, all the sources I checked seem to prove the below mentioned information, it states only the things I have researched and found myself and doesn't intend to offend any parties involved)
In short, rogueamp had a bunch of conflicts with danooct1 in 2015-2017, as well as a little bit of a nasty controversy which resulted in him "leaving" the platform by posting dashcam videos. It can be kind of confirmed by comparing the dates of his "diss track" on Dan and his last meaningful video. Maybe it wasn't the reason he left, perhaps, the rogue malware had become stale and there was practically no interesting content to come up: I would perfectly understand such a reason as well, being a malware collector myself.
People claim that he was a vitriolic person, not really looking after what he was speaking, that kind of thing. These claims seem to be factual, as his way of dropping his channel was pretty abrupt, and his manner of talking was just about what'd you expect for these kind of claims.
I don't defend him in the controversy he appeared in, but I'm deeply saddened that one of the legendary malware reviewers like him went out such way. It was an interesting thing to research, but ultimately it wasn't the best ending. I was too late to the party myself, losing brothers-by-content is always sad.

Extensions are more likely to be installed by a user and I don't think antiviruses pick up on add on based adware as often. Considering a user spends most of their time in the browser, it's the second best thing, especially if you are just injecting ads.

I know this is about viruses and malware, but I really miss the days when only a few processes were running with windows. No apps and such. They don't consume much, but you can just see so much better what's going on on the pc with windows 7 compared to windows 10 IMO.
I have loved technology for ages now,and even in 2010's, I could get hit with one of these things and not even realize it. I had a few times. Even Open source applications were doing this. Nice keyboard click, by the way. Love it!

on my old windows 7 laptop i wanted to get a video editor so i could edit shitposts and my whole laptop got corrupted and it got stuck in a bootloop for a day and then the startup folder for windows got corrupted and it wouldnt boot

If you want proper damaging malware, try these software that claims they'll install drivers, like DriverPack Solutions. I trusted it on an old laptop and it gave some OS breaking malware installed.

@ Kindagamer nope it changed evrey file into a file format that i couldnt open and it happened infront of my eyes it gave me a last reboot and that wapow bootloop
