Heads up: it’s not recommended to use SMS 2 factor as there have been examples of simjacking where somebody can steal your phone number by pretending to be you and reporting your phone as stolen. Use an authentication app instead.
I have a question, they will report the phone stolen to who exactly? If they are going to report to an cellphone network service provider then it wont work where I live because phone numbers are tied to the owner's I.D Card number and name which both have to be provided to do anything to a phone number.
Adam Wójcik sim jacking is calling the carrier of the owner and impersonating them to report the device stolen and to get a new SIM card issued with the same phone number
Adam Wójcik true but the sim matches with the device if swapped you’ll need to call your cell provider to activate the sim card witch is normally matched with your phone serial number
Use https anywhere (or https everwhere dont knoe the exact name right now). It enforces every site to use https, if available. If the site doesn't have https https everywhere will stop it from loading and you can choose between allowing https everywhere to open that site forever with http or only for that session
imagine losing the key

Thanks for sharing. I already knew that, but I think many didn't. Also isn't it called "simswapping", not "simjacking"?

2 likesU can still use text or an authentication app

1 like@Stun X Playz this works with mobile devices???
0 likes@カイル Text is bad, because someome can simswap you. Auth apps are better, someone needs direct access to your phone.
1 like@Filip most of does keys also have Bluetooth

No it doesn't. Only ssl and a vpn do that.
0 likesSession hijacking isn't really a problem anymore since Twitter uses HTTPS and HSTS to enforce it.

0 likes@thooor That's only if you enable EASE mode though. By default it just uses a pre-defined dictionary of sites.
0 likes@Wolfie You mean: Secure every workable website? I always have that on.
0 likes@thooor It should be called "Encrypt All Sites Eligible (EASE)" if you are running the latest version of the extension, at least, it is for me.
0 likes@Wolfie I run the german version of it, so i had to translate it manually via brain. If it's the 2nd option, then we are talking about the same thing
1 like@thooor 👍 Yup, same thing
