Something interesting: Flim and Flam never actually won the Farm. In SSSS6000, the competition was for the right to sell cider in Ponyville. The brothers actually moved to take the farm at the end illegally, as the farm itself had never been a part of the deal. They just took advantage of the post competition confusion to declare the farm to be theirs.
Oh. Right. Sometimes I don't English good. Lol. I did mean SSCS6000. Still, a lot of reviewers seem to be under the impression that flim and flam had, or still have, some right to the farm after the competition. I always thought that was odd.
This was one of the better Aj episodes of the show I think. It went beyond her stubborn side and didn't have to pull a personality trait out of nowhere to work properly. I think you should a discord episode next, because.....chaos.
Curses, how am I supposed to know what image you flash at the end when it goes by so quickly? For the next DPC maybe you could do Owl's Well that Ends Well? Just a thought.
I really liked this episode, not only is it about my favorite pony, but it's also the only key episode where no other of the many six is in it at all. I think that helps the story, it would have felt awkward and contrived if they squeezed Twilight in just to have Twilight there, plus it shows that these ponies do need their friends, but they are strong and good ponies on their own as well. I love the apple family, because I love my family so the episodes about them I can relate to the most,(Kinda.) plus who didn't love the part where Granny Smith was asking if Big Mac was up for some apple bucking and he just said(In the way Big Mac always says)"Uh, no." I just love how he says it.
I think this is one of the best morals we've had, all of the key episodes are great but I like this one especially. Honesty is the most important element to me with Kindness fallowing close behind,(Just like my favorites list.) the one time I lied I never wanted to lie again, I made my mom so disappointed, so I know lying is never the answer, I know that Applejack does lie and not just when Discord turns her grey, but this is a very important episode so maybe after the key episodes the main six will learn to better fallow their elements? Hopefully?

I think the next dear princess Celestia episode should be about how Flutter shy became friends with Discord. The lesson in this episode is one dear to my heart since I learned it from sailor moon as a kid. That lesson is "there's good and bad in everyone" Flutter shy was willing to give discord chance, because she could see the good side he had, despite his misbehavior. However it depended on Discords choice in the end. It was up to him to except Flutter shy's friendship or not. I hope you address this in your next episode cause I think it's one alot of people should be aware of. Thanks!
I don't know if anyone elves saw this but when Apple Jack made the deal it was also partly based on peer pressure because she didn't want to be the one to make Granny the way she used to be for didn't know what type of impact it would have on Granny Just a thought
I think you need to take a look the first two episodes and the halloween episode about why Luna's mane changes because I have a hunch that in the first two episode where her mane is short and blue to where it looks like the night sky in the Halloween. Could it be that within the time frame she was able to accept both sides of herself and since she is technically nightmare moon her mane changed to show that she has seen the error of her ways and has accepted it as it being a part of here and always will be
I think Flim and Flam get a disproportionate amount of blame for this episode. Granny couldn't make that jump when she was young, so it wasn't an issue of doing something she's to old to do now, she was just being stupid.
And how were Flim and Flam supposed to know she wouldn't make it. Hell, for all they know she does stunts like that all the time.
Were they dishonest? Yes. Underhanded? Yes. Were they to blame? No.
Part of the problem would be that she likely did have infirmities caused by age that would not have been corrected by the tonic, so since it did improve the one thing that was evidently psychological she assumed the other issues were gone and could have seriously hurt herself trying to do something that she was just too old to do, even before the high dive.
I really liked your moral! But since this tv show was made for little girls, I doubt the writers meant it to seem like drugs lol. But yeah, the effects seemed that way...... Can you do For Whom Sweetie Belle Toils? :)
Granny Smith is always know what you can do these things but with her old age she can be convinced of anything. Next episode you should analyze is "feeling pinkie keen"
I think for whom sweetie belle consumes will be a good one because it would be a good moral for teenagers to care for there siblings a bit more or something
I think you are doing a few too many DPCs of Applejack episodes. First, Super Speedy Cider Squeezy, then Over a Barrel, then Bats (kinda an AJ episode) and now Leap of Faith. I find it kinda funny. Considering mostly that Fluttershy is your favorite pony I wouldve thought you would be doing mostly Fluttershy episodes.
Well with fluttershy's main concept of being nice and shy (other then when she didn't want to be a doormat anymore) coming up with original episodes for her is not the easiest thing in the world

it's not that uncommon that people say to someone else that something is dangerous yet they then do it themselves. She believed in the tonic and took the risk.
I find this episode of season 4 a bit pointless. Anyone in there right mind would choose to be honest if a loved one is about to jump to their theoretical death. If I were a pony and someone was doing a six story jump into a pie dish I would've stopped them. To support this it doesn't show applejacks honesty well sense as I said someone was about to jump to their death. What I think the writers should've done is like the episode "Applebuck Season" in season one. They should have had a situation like that were applejack has to fess up (or be honest) about she needing help, or something along those lines.

Ok.... am I the only one who doesn’t see this as an all or nothing case? Seriously I hate when people say that doing the wrong thing for the right reasons is a horrible message. Problem is that there are situations that call for such a thing. I personally do think there’s a time and place for everything. However there are people who will abuse that which is why being honest WITH YOURSELF is the biggest question that I have to ask of these people. Was aj being honest with herself while telling those lies? No. She was avoiding a hard choice that she already knew the consequences of. Same as Rainbow Dash choosing not to choose. I think that’s the real issue here. If it were me? I’d absolutely tell her that was a fake but I’d also try helping her through her fears via exposer & talk therapy and go from there.

Ok.... am I the only one who doesn’t see this as an all or nothing case? Seriously I hate when people say that doing the wrong thing for the right reasons is a horrible message. Problem is that there are situations that call for such a thing. I personally do think there’s a time and place for everything. However there are people who will abuse that which is why being honest WITH YOURSELF is the biggest question that I have to ask of these people. Was aj being honest with herself while telling those lies? No. She was avoiding a hard choice that she already knew the consequences of. Same as Rainbow Dash choosing not to choose. I think that’s the real issue here. If it were me? I’d absolutely tell her that was a fake but I’d also try helping her through her fears via exposer & talk therapy and go from there.
