I was until about a month ago and my os got currupted. Think the USB drivers got currupted. Now im running windows 10 on a new hard drive still have all my old files on the old hard drive and can still boot into the old os but no usbs work.

Something's got to be wrong with how you're doing it. Maybe the CD image is bad, they're isn't enough RAM allocated, an incompatible piece of hardware, maybe that you're using VirtualBox inside VMware?
So you almost managed to create a VM inside a VM? If you had assigned more RAM to the first XP you would have succeeded. Cool anyway! My first VM sometimes crashes with that error :( ... It is just that Mother Nature exists in a way that 2013 Pentium CPUs and 4GB RAM cannot run VMs...

I had a linux host with MAX (a Linux Mint clone used in school computers) assigned 6.5 GB of RAM, installed windows 8.1 with a few services disabled, then Installed Windows 7, inside that Windows 7 i tried to install XP, lagged so hard and the installation froze detecting the disks, so I had to restart it, press shift+f7 to select manually a computer type, I chose Standard PC, which disables ACPI, and I was able to push it through a very laggy, first stage of setup, which is still running at this moment, I'll update when I'm done, still the wizard have not showed up and it has been 2 hours since I started the experiment UPDATE I ended up creating the VM externally and importing it, it takes like 10 minutes to boot, but it works lol

Well that's lame... I've managed to get a Windows XP Installer (was actually installing) to run inside a Win7 VM inside a Win 8.1 VM on my Win10 Machine. Beat that Enderman! I let the Windows XP installer run for like multiple hours, but nothing changed so I decided to end my Experiment there. Enderman, hello! Все может быть причина, мало оперативной памяти для самой установки ОС. Прежде временно на хост систему, через которую будешь запускать вторую VM, поставь где 1-2 GB, так должно работать, тестил сам.
@@Fixator10 , дело в том что Windows XP поддерживает очень старую версию VMware, иль вообще не поддерживает. Так что, для данного варианта в XP, лучше использовать VirtualBox или Microsoft Virtual PC.
@@Fixator10, я оповергну вашу мысль, ибо VMware не может считывать какую VM он запускать. Можно запускать в VMware, VirtualBox, также и в VirtualBox, можно симуляровать VMware. Это не программирование, где нельзя использовать HTML с Python.

You clearly did something wrong when recording, not entirely sure what, but looks like a later test let you make more VMs within each other (about 7-8, according to the thumbnail)
Windows 7 is one of the best versions of Windows, it is one of the most reliable and trustworthy windows versions, and when I finally get my own computer I will make sure it runs Windows 7 and will downgrade it if neccesary! Even my entire school has every last computer running Windows 7. Windows 8 and 10 are too strange and different, I just don't like them.

Something's got to be wrong with how you're doing it. Maybe the CD image is bad, they're isn't enough RAM allocated, an incompatible piece of hardware, maybe that you're using VirtualBox inside VMware?

1 likeI had a linux host with MAX (a Linux Mint clone used in school computers) assigned 6.5 GB of RAM, installed windows 8.1 with a few services disabled, then Installed Windows 7, inside that Windows 7 i tried to install XP, lagged so hard and the installation froze detecting the disks, so I had to restart it, press shift+f7 to select manually a computer type, I chose Standard PC, which disables ACPI, and I was able to push it through a very laggy, first stage of setup, which is still running at this moment, I'll update when I'm done, still the wizard have not showed up and it has been 2 hours since I started the experiment

0 likesWindows 7 is one of the best versions of Windows, it is one of the most reliable and trustworthy windows versions, and when I finally get my own computer I will make sure it runs Windows 7 and will downgrade it if neccesary! Even my entire school has every last computer running Windows 7. Windows 8 and 10 are too strange and different, I just don't like them.
