I found this album at one of the lowest points in my life. I was floating freely in a void of directionlessness and self-loathing. BP Empire was my tether to reality at this time. It's hard to listen to it all these years later without those same feelings coming out again, but I am so grateful for how much my life has improved since then. I love IM, and anybody who listens to them! I'm so glad that all of us are here, enjoying this wonderful music together.
This album is incredible. A lot of people prefer the new infected mushroom stuff, but the atmosphere and feel of all of the songs on this album are just amazing
And I still believe that their new stuff doesn't even compare to this. Stop working with Monstercat. Monstercat was the first channel that I really hated, for it has bastardized many good genres with the mediocrity that is the standard there. I knew this even before becoming a fan of them, but I never enjoyed a song that was not made atleast a few years ago. Oh well.
It was 2007 when i bought vicious delicious. After this album (and some haters like me point out after relocation to the us of a) there was magic-wise only darkness. ok, mostly darkness
Infected mushroom sound completely lost its sauce after I’m the supervisor in my opinion. The gathering is my all time favorite from them but this album has a cacophonous psychedelic sound that really makes it unique
All the people i know, including myself, prefer the old stuff. I like the new work too but you cant compare it to the old tracks. like day and night ^^
@YakòóZa The gathering is their best album. And imo nothing after it comes close. Every track in the gathering but the last one is a masterpiece. Album two and three have some good tracks. Dancing with Kadafi is real good.
This album is like a piece of art. Still after all these years this album speaks to me deeply. Then again, I guess this was the first album that I truely listened from start to end. Best album for autumn nights bicycling, Hoffman style or no.
Just started listening to these guys about a year ago. Started with Army of Mushrooms, Vicious delicious, and the friends on mushrooms volumes. Apparently I never thought to dive further in their discography. I've now listened to this gem three times in a row, and I can't stop. SO good, and it's now my favorite.
i too started listening in 2012 and this has also become my favorite album :) makes me wish they would return to this sound more often, seems they never quite have
Tanner Bean something tells me they’ll continue this trend back to their older style, while also blending the creativity and sound design of their newer albums here going forward.
Good point. The vocals take away the magic that you get with the instrumental stuff, all the focus is in the music. But I still love Legend of the Black Sharma though

@3 kilos Well it got me into electronic music in the first place, but importantly it changed the way I listen to music and my understanding of what music can be. My older brother gave this album to me as a Christmas gift right before we went on a long family trip. When I first put it on, I was instantly teleported into an alien forest full of bio-luminescent animals and countless unknown sentient entities, some benevolent, some mischievous. Mind you, I was 16 at the time and this was before I had taken any mind-altering substances.
I listened to it on repeat non-stop on the plane, in the car, in my room. When I listened to it more and more I started to understand how it is constructed from many threads of interwoven melodies, rhythms, harmonies, and just textural and atmospheric sounds. They would come in and out, interact with each-other and slowly evolve throughout the song. This was a different approach to both composing music and listening to it. It caused a very flow, trance-like state in me. It was still active listening unlike some ambient music but it was equally entrancing. This changed my view of composing and performing music in a way that's hard to describe.
It also greatly inspired me to become a musician myself and pursue composition, which I have been doing ever since. While my more recent compositions are pretty different from this musically, they still retain a lot of the general approaches, having multiple intertwined sections flowing between each-other and creating catchy yet mesmerizing repetition that slowly changes over time.
Lastly, this album just remains a kind of haven for me. Putting it still takes me to a magical place that is free from the external and internal troubles of the world and allows me to focus on what's most important.
@Sam Chaney Right on, from one music guy to another. I'm studying musicology, and I'd like to write a lot about psytrance as a genre and as a cultural phenomenon.
Makes no sense. Im pretty picky with my electronic music more of a metal fan but every IM song is undeniable

love Infected, seen them live 2002 fucking awesome !
but got to say personaly BP Empire, The Gathering, Classical are Goa/Psytrance master pieces. then they changed their style a lot to something more "comercial" maybe to reach a larger audience, we can't blame them ($) ...
now their trance if we can call it that has too much of EDM influence even think it's more EDM than anything else, not that I dislike but it's kind of understandable when some fans feel disappointed, but hey things change, people change
to people who say they didnt changed just listen the old albums , they produced old school Goa/Psy Trance tracks with bad ass scyfy movie quotes samples, dark and deep stuff (that's what I like about Astrix and some others they keep doing the same old), then when Amit start singing at their tracks IM changed to comercial mode like it or not
(btw personaly think Erez is the "brain" of IM, such a great talent to create music, following his music since Shiva Shidapu)
Very well said. The Gathering, Classical Mushroom, Converting Vegetarians, B.P. Empire, all classics. I'm the Supervisor was their last true album in my opinion. Vicious Delicious wasn't horrible but you can hear the change starting. Army of Mushrooms and Legend of the Black Shwarma absolutely shocked me. How could my all time favorite artist that changed my life so dramatically change into something I couldn't even bear to listen to?
Edit: I'll never forget the day Legend of the Black Shwarma came out. I was giving it a first listen in my car, driving home from college, and my mouth literally dropped open. Every song seemed worst than the last. What were these weird, out of left-field, bro-tracks with stereotypical guitar riffs and chords doing on my IM album? I for one actually like a lot of EDM, EBM, Industrial, some early Dubstep, etc (in other words a large variety of electronic music), but this album was just vomit inducing. I couldn't believe it.
E.Aizen indeed is the "brain" of infected, but you summed it up about right, they started to go commercial for the money, evetho they still kick ass, one of my all time favs
Oh wow. It has been a good 12-15 years since I last listened to this beautiful album. Amazing how this can still trigger the same state of mind as it could back then. Almost, but only almost, feel like going on one final journey with Psilocybe Semilanceata. But wow, the memories <3
i spent half my childhood listening to this album on my cd player in juvenile detention... saved me from insanity, by allowing me to escape those walls that were suffocating the flame in me. and they still do, in that fake freedom reality we live in.
This album is like a piece of art. Still after all these years this album speaks to me deeply. Then again, I guess this was the first album that I truely listened from start to end. Best album for autumn nights bicycling, Hoffman style or no.
This is definitely one of my all time favourite albums, I've lost count of how many times I've listened to it. Thank you for uploading it full and in good quality!
The Gathering - Classical Mushroom - B.P. Empire. The ultimate trifecta albums by IM that we all grew up with and came to love so much. Ingenious electronic music (or "psy-trance" if you prefer) way ahead of it's time. That's why we still listen to them from time to time
I'm really glad my liking of music is very broad: i like their dubstep influence on their newer albums but this just sounds amazing. I'm wondering why i haven't found this album before :o
+Astro Luxe just listened to this album for first time, ive relistened to dancing with kadafi 3 times over, it stands head and shoulders above the rest of the tracks on this album :)
Uploader isn't lying; this album is a game changer. 1. mda 2.turn out lights 3. make ready the LEDS 4. invite fwends 5. let go that night has still yet to be rivaled. thanks IM
one last thing: the instrument (flute?) that comes in at 33:42 is simply amazing... great melody carrier that contrasts so well to the dark ambiance all around it. Ok, I'm done now.
simply a masterpiece. I love Duvdev and Erez so much.. They have no idea how much their music has influenced me.. in the best way possible.THANK YOU SO MUCH...
Remember buying this album the first day it came out in Sweden 01, remember going to their concert in denmark to se them perform this live the same year. Bringing back memories...Still think Classical are way much better and still is the best album ever made by IM.
Anyone else just find themselves listening to this and their other albums on repeat? I mean damn I like other music, but this stuff just takes over my library.
I used to listen to this album all the time with my goth/industrial loving boyfriend while riding in his fast car that had a great sound system. Those were fun times.
Fantastic production and audio quality, guys - seriously well done. The bass on 'Dancing with Kadafi" here registered below 35Hz to a thunderingly exciting 28Hz! The sound is produced via two legendary loudspeakers, the KEF105.2 and Yamaha NS1000 Monitors powered by 2kW!
I discovered this album in 2015. To many years without the mushroom. I never thought i would like the genre. This is their incredible masterpiece. Then there is the supervisor. And after this there comes the newer stuff. The newer albums are outstanding. But this is ...
My favorite im album next to classical mushroom, and converting vegetarians. Not gonna lie their newes 2 albums are actually pretty good. I prefer their old sound though but their newer stuff seems to go back to their roots.
This album brings back memories. So many IM shows in SoCal around the turn of the century. Some public and off the beaten path. I remember being in the caravan driving thru curvy roads in the forests north of LA behind the sound boxtruck, trying to dodge BLM officers t to get to a site for a party. We eventually wound up on the beach in Seacrest and Erez and Duvdev wound up spinning instead of a live show. My Israeli female friend Nurit and I wound up chatting with them but tbh I totally don't remember what we talked about.
My friend who introduced me to IM dk swears up and down by CV trance side and while I think it has its moments, no other album of theirs compares to this. I tried to like Supervisor but the biggest prob was that every time on their something started to get going, too much psy for me.
This album is one of the best ever, no matter what genre is in question. I am a hardcore progressive rock/metal fan and yeah, I do get hard when I hear musical wankery. This is prog, this is prog as fck. I just cannot pick fav track.
Cor.... the gravity and taughtness of the bass in unbalanced is masterly mastered - the kickin' Yamaha NS1000's love em' and do justice to the sound - --great job, shrooms
3η λυκειού 2003 στο repeat το αλμπουμ!!!!!! Στο τέλος κόλλησα και τη mother και μου ζητούσε συνέχεια dancing with kadafi! xa xa xaxa... πόσες αναμνήσεις!!!!
I've usually found the general stock of psytrance to be flat and repetitive to me, with IM we see just how varied and utterly exuisite the genre can be. Two decades on this album walks all over people with thrice the technology today. True consciousness lifter, awakened me back then and does the same now.
Infected gain so much experience and skills through all this years since they started, I really hope they will do a comeback now to new epic psy trance album using all the skills and experience they earned since the last psy album
their old beats used to take so much time to set shit up, it usually led to similar beats, but this seems to be the foundation of what they build a lot of stuff on.
I also agree, there's something about older IM that they just seem to have lost...
That said my girlfriend actually prefers the newer albums, and they're probably more financially effective for the band :P
I only heard IM rollin 2 nights ago. Simply amazing.. dubstep just wasn't coming close to it. Had to look around for the good stuff though, like this album... other stuff just didn't seem to do it justice. the drops are dizgusting.
And Noisemaker! Interstellar synthsounds and unique Infected Mushroom patches. This track got me into trouble with two adjacent neighbours, which has never happened before. Are there secret sub and infrasonic sounds woven in surreptisiously? Your woofers have been warned.
Yes, my fav IM album with classical mushroom, vicious delicious and converting vegetarian, ahah big fan am i....
Sadly the last ep 'mushroom friend" sucks alot! :(
Infected is the bomb, new or old. I can see why some people might not dig the new direction but hopefully they'll go back to their roots at some point. Besides, Project 100, hello????
i have to say something, good or bad, before or after, this is the evolution and the clock moving, never stops.INFECTED MUSHROOM,i love,i jump,i get out from here(TANKS INFECTEC)my generation and my vibration i prefer the old school from the boom, you people remender.and the gays and friends older than me,they don't understand and don't like the trance music.THIS IS IT
I have a pair of AKGs and they're alright, but really I listen on monitors 95+% of the time. I believe this album was put together on a pair of Dynaudio BM6A monitors. Headphones have more potential though, paired with a well integrated subwoofer. However, since this was mixed on monitors, it will be best that way in my experience.
It's propably a song from either "The Gathering" album or from the "Classical Mushroom" album then. You can listen to the full albums here on youtube, hope you find the track you're looking for :)
This album introduced me to the Duo and to Psytrance music. 10 years ago I discovered that in my collected music that was on my computer had this album. IDK who in my family bought it or when but I'm happy that I have it.
door stuck's probably like a hazy memory to you now, you've moved on, whatever. but recently, 3kliksphilip did a vid on it, featured your channel and all.
but b o y am i glad i could find all this music here to explore. thanks for uploading it all, man.
I'm looking for an old track guess before 2001 i remebere only one line, which got burned into my mind: Meditation, what the word actualy means, is concentration con, from concsioussness all, and centre, meaning to the centre.
you guys would do me a huge favore, if anyone can remind this song
can someone please explain to me why there is a link that says watch in 720p for better audio. since when does upping the video quality effect the audio of anything?
i know i can output video with low quality and still maintain a high audio bitrate in my home. so im working under the assumption that the audio was irrelevant to the video, especially on youtube. most people aren't going to notice really anyway i suppose.
One time, my friends Tommy the Bat and Suliman went with me to the Elation Station to get some Franks. They started eating and Tommy said, "These are Vicious Delicious!" and I was like, "Dude! That thing isn't cooked!" but Before i could, he Ate it Raw right In Front of Me. I was so Deeply Disturbed that I said "That's it, I'm Converting to Vegetarian!" I yelled so loud, some Heavyweight guy came out and said "IM the Supervisor! This is a Special Place, and you guys need to Hush Mail, or I'll start Smashing the Opponent!". I was like, "Jeenge, Psycho, I Wish you would just Drop Out. We are just having The Gathering!". Suliman said, "U R So Fucked!" and I said "That's it, Herbert the Pervert. I'm gonna Mush Mushi your fat ass!". He cowered and pleaded, "Please Forgive Me! I Missed the Project 100 Symphony and I am in a rotten mood."
I was so pissed, I started to Bust a Move on him. Tommy told me to stop, but I said "I just Can't Stop beating The Rat!" That's when the cop showed up. I thought, what a Nation of Wusses. He said, "Hey, punk! This is the End of The Road!" I just said, "Never Mind this dumbass, I have Nothing to Say. I Wanted to Serve My Thirst, but it's Noon now, goodbye."
Soon they surrounded me with an Army of Mushrooms, and took to to the B. P. Empire court. The judge asked me if I was guilty, and I exclaimed, "None of This Is Real!". I demanded they Release Me, but they tackled me and threw me in the Cities of the Future prison. I prayed night and day, "Please Send Me an Angel, I am Becoming Insane!". That night at the prison, it was Apogiffa Night, so they had a Disco Mushroom dance. It was Semi Nice, but the Yanko Pitch of the music really Changed the Formality of the whole evening. I decided I would Muse Break out of this God-forsaken Frog Machine. I Stretched, and got to work chipping away with a spoon.
Soon, the effort started Chaplin my fingers, and they began to bleed. I thought, Nothing Comes Easy, and kept going. I stopped only to drink up a glass of Echonomix. My cell mate saw me and said, "Wow, you are brave. Have some of this, if you put rum in it, it's called Montoya Remix." It was good.
The guard heard me and rushed over to the cell. "What is that noise?" he demanded. I nervously looked at my cell mate, and he told the guard, "Umm... we were just playing Song Pong. We were about to sing Horus the Chorus." The guard left. My mate said, "It's Killing Time, you are working too Slowly. It's time to bring out the Artillery!" In just a Blink, we were free. They set off the alarms and we hid in the bushes. A suspicious guard sneaked up to us. Thinking quickly, I shouted, "Shakawkaw!". He muttered, "Oh, it's just a bird." We stole a yaht and set off in the Sea of Mushrooms. We Riders Balleriumly survived on The Storm, but they never found us again, and that is the Legend of the Black Shawarma.
Legend has it that soon after they broke out they'd had some Pink Nightmares with a guy known as Atid Matok, initiating what was know as the Evilution. They'd remained hidden until them and all their Friends on Mushrooms began asking the world, "See Me Now?"
@aomimezura11 you should have gone on to explain at the end that you and your friend started a shawarma business across the mushroom sea that would have really tied it together haha
@***** Been 6 years now that i started using that username. Started in Battlefield Heroes till today. Im a lone child and have no family so : One.
I used to have a very sad and shitty childhood, went in sect from 18 to 21 years old, became an atheist after, till now and i am perceived as mad by certain people so : Mad.
My father left my mother before i was borned , he then went ahead and had 2 other children with another women that he married...so : Bastard.
My username actually has a backstory. Wich is fun.
I was listening their new 2015 album before coming here. At track 3 I felt so bad, wanted to vomit, headache... really felt bad. So I had to come here and cure my ears, mind and soul with this masterpiece! RIP Infected, is too sad...
+YuumChaak I dunno, I actually thought Converting Vegetarians II was a very good return to form for them. They're focusing on making good tracks again instead of just maximum loudness all the time and milking the dubstep trend for all it's worth...
Personally I think Animatronica is one of the best tracks they've made in a long, long time.
exactly... new album is too loud, that dubstep influence might work for dubstep lovers... but listen again BP Empire... elegant, classy, balanced. They tell a story in each track, you can close your mind and trip very nice. I stay with old Infected albums. If I want dubstep, I go and listen other artists
+YuumChaak I don't think you understood what I meant...their new album is actually pretty subdued. When I said dubstep, I was referring to the two albums before that.
You should listen to CVII all the way through at least once, it really picks up later on.
+YuumChaak I agree with you in the sense I prefer their older stuff. And it does feel a lot more mature than their newer albums. However I like the fact they have followed what they wanted to do and felt what was right for them instead of possibly becoming stagnant trying to recreate their old Psytrance sounds.
Oh my god, stop fucking whining. Converting Vegetarians 2 is just like "The Other Side" on CV1. Their style hasn't even drastically changed. It's just continuing on the experimental fun stuff that everyone loved from Converting Vegetarians.
As a huge infected mushroom fan, I personally like the way they introduce us to melodys, sounds and beats. It's true that their older material is far more elegant, unique and probably better. But they would always have completion and reinvention for themselves. Btw, I too got some headaches and got here to cure. The moment the delayed beep entered I got fully electrified.
I never did listen the new things, they were obvious for the shit music they are making and this is why i never listened to the new things so i would not change my mind for them and i'm stucked with old school music honestly.. :D
What the hell are you talking about? Their new albums are brilliant. Army of Mushrooms was great and CV2 was a masterpiece. You are clearly no Infected Mushroom listener.
Clearly not...The new music i didn't even wanted to listen because i consider music like way of life, music that is made from heart and emotions and not involving money...I can call it maybe underground music so you could understand me better
yeah i find listening to it all the way through is the best way for CVII. I didn't like it until I did that. Army of mushrooms has some mediocre dubsteppy tracks but black shawarma is really good IMO and that's what CVII reminds me most of
@Deplorable Michael army of mushrooms is pretty good, CVII has it's moments as well, IMO though everything since vicious delicious has been a little bit sub par. Army of mushrooms and CVII are without a doubt (in my mind) the worst infected mushroom albums besides maybe the gathering (but that's a classic)
Thumbs up to this man. The Gathering, Classical Mushroom, Converting Vegetarians, B.P. Empire, I'm the Supervisor, all amazing albums, then after that..... IM used to be my all time favorite artist and then when the likes of Army of Mushrooms and the Legend of the Black Shwarma came out I couldn't believe what I was hearing, utter trash.
yeah, new infected sucks so bad it hurts my soul, I'm the supervisor was last epic album, vicious delicious is good but after that ... pure garbage :E the old and new are like day and night. I'm happy I saw infected three times live on the old days, now I'm wondering do I even want to go to concert because I don't want to listen to the new crap :| How can something fall from so high to so deep in the abyss :/
@SissiSaatana I still think their new shit is good, but it got too over produced, the essence is lost....vicious delicious was realllllllyyyy fucking dope and I honestly thought legend of the black shawarma had some good songs as well but deffs classical mushroom to I'm the supervisor era is the dankest of the dank (although heavyweight really is in their top 10 songs IMO)
Nah, Pink Froid is my new Dancing with Kadafi; it's quite different from what they usually do, but it carries their style in a composition that is both calm and passionate.
Since you ask; I'll have five to seven dried grams of boiled amanita muscaria - or whatever you have that holds psilocybin enough to project my mind to the event horizon of a supermassive black hole.
@selvmordspilot not to be that guy not amanita muscaria is not actually a psilocybin mushroom. Golden teachers cubensis would do ya fine that's what we get up where I live :P
Hey now, I used to be that guy, except I was pimping my Sony D-250 from 1989, and my UM3Xs.
Well, I always wanted to say things, but I didn't. All my nice things were taken by the rudders.
I fucking hate reality.
maybee it only reminds me to metal because the Bass is always that rocking that i every time have to emagine Lemmy Kilmister on Steroids and under highvoltage playing the bass
I was also listening to new album Army of Mushrooms but I think it was made for attention disorder kids. It is not bad but it´s just not mixed very good.
I get the best experience with this album with a pair of speakers and subs, not headphones. It's not so much that important that I have 125dB SPL capability as having it properly calibrated. This album's bass is epic :)
SoundMagic HP100. If you want to hear SUB bass and not just mid bass. They stay level wayyy down(I can hear 20hz) and are one of the best for $200. Via Headstreamer by HRT. Frankly, I don't get those gamer headsets that claim SS. What difference does it really make how many drivers you have when it is still a 2 way system like all others? I get the AKG, Audize, Sony MDRV6(maybe not for this music). No disrespect to gamers but I really think that whole SS via headphone is a gimmick. You guys would be much better off with good stereo and a decent set of open cans. Bet that would give way better surround. Little less bass though due to being open. Oh, and all that shit written on the back of a box like sensitivity, FR and impedance generally means nothing for sound quality.
@tony toy Mate, electricity travels through conductive medium B in exactly the same wavelength as conductive but seriously more expensive medium A. What does that mean? Expensive cables are a gimmick. But yeah, gamers need to realise it's not the surround sound producing that awesome music, it's just better than average speakers and a decent bit rate to listen too(and codec...). I have Turtle Beach XP 400s and as much as they opened my ears to the world of audio fidelity I sure as hell know they are on the high to mid range sound quality as in no where near the best. Sennheiser, I want!
just get some decent 20-25$ headphones with freq response from 15-25k or close with the in-ear silicone nipples, rip off the nipples, poke a hole into some cheapo ear plugs, and mount on the headphone stud. for 30 bucks and a little fabrication you have not just ear plugs, but a very nice sounding set of phones. instead of full volume i now only need 25-30% on most songs. would be cool to see how they sound next to the top shelf shtuff.
@schlooonginator bass via headphones is sort of a gimmick too, because you can't feel it in your body, just hear it in your ears. a lot of whats good about bass is the physical aspect of the sound, which you can hear seeing IM live in a club but its hard to replicate at home :)
Well, look up brain frequencies, and then headphone frequency response, I don't care too much about feeling the sound, just what its doing with my brain
...Pressure waves vs pressurized chest cavity and you could say it's how the brain interprets an external audio input of a certain structure that;s important. Then the how of delivery also becomes important. Festival vs Personal music experiences.
very true. then there's A at 440 and A at 432. 432 ones supposedly to sound as if its coming from within yourself, compared to outside yourself, and relates to the Fibonacci spiral of the inner ear. Playing around on my guitar with this is fun, Led zepplin sounds better in 432, metallica in 440. some songs it really doesn't sound right if in the wrong tuning regardless of the minute change
The note to tune to the HZ. For instance, on a guitar the 5th string from the bottom is generally tuned to A. and most tuners will show you you're in tune at 440HZ, 432 is slightly flat. and some tuners have the setting to adjust for this, but watching the HZ your producing is obviously much more precise
don't forget to go to Kickstarter search for Infected Mushroom Projects and contribute to their movie! Today is 8/21 and they have 21 days to go! 4%funded $12,600pledged 21 days to go
Maybe you are right, but have u heard the new song called trance party? i mean it's very good and i have been IM'S fan since the gathering even earlier, they evolved a lot and yes they had some bad songs like some of the dubstep in the army of mushroom but they still make good music, Astrix on mushrooms, saeed, project 100, new messenger , drum n bassa the pretender(IM remix),I don't really like the dubstep songs, i agree they should keep on making more psy.
As only a passive fan of psy trance I really think their best album is Army of Mushrooms, best thing they've done since Classical Mushroom. There's only so far one genre can take a force as creative as these guys. Delighted to see they're breaking out finally. I can see how it irks the older IM heads but "selling out" is kind of a shrill, hysterical accusation to make...
RE: This album, couple of good tracks, whole lot of meh...
There was once a comment of mine here bitching about how IM had betrayed their sound and that their new music marked the death of the bands trance days. At the time, army had just came out and I was very much afraid they were going headlong into the edm scene chasing the dubstep fad. I've since come to understand that they were expanding their skillset dabbling with that style, and as a result they have fully mastered manipulating baselines fluidly in a way no other band does. It has added a whole new dynamic to their music and I am grateful for that growth. Return to the sauce brought back much of their iconic style and more than just a name has shown how far their production quality has come. Cheers.
I'm so glad that all of us are here, enjoying this wonderful music together.

more than 15yrs old (psytrance) albums are masterpieces made by mind. Todays albums are created only for volume and consumption I think.
9 likesAnd I still believe that their new stuff doesn't even compare to this. Stop working with Monstercat. 45 likesJust started listening to these guys about a year ago. Started with Army of Mushrooms, Vicious delicious, and the friends on mushrooms volumes. Apparently I never thought to dive further in their discography. I've now listened to this gem three times in a row, and I can't stop. SO good, and it's now my favorite.

2 likesto the gathering... :)
7 likesBeen here since the start
2 likesi too started listening in 2012 and this has also become my favorite album :) makes me wish they would return to this sound more often, seems they never quite have
3 likes@zach yourloudEDMneighbor More Than Just a Name is the closest they've come since CV or VD
1 likeTanner Bean something tells me they’ll continue this trend back to their older style, while also blending the creativity and sound design of their newer albums here going forward.
1 likeIt’s the lack of vocals that makes this album so amazing
21 likesReplies (6)
Quite. Or rather it is the addition of vocals which has diminished much of their work since.
4 likesThe music speaks for itself.. You can be sober, stoned, tripping or drunk and this music calls out for you in different ways 🙏
6 likesalso a continuing baseline imo
3 likesGood point. The vocals take away the magic that you get with the instrumental stuff, all the focus is in the music. But I still love Legend of the Black Sharma though
0 likesGo play your music. Noisemaker ;)
0 likesspecially wen the vocals comes from a man who just cant sing
0 likesThis album could easily compete with pink floyd's or the beatles'. EASILY

This album changed my life
187 likesReplies (11)
Sam Chaney mine too
2 likesYeah me too
2 likesI still think it's there best. Album .
3 likesIt's one of there darkest albums also.. I wish they would go back to this style
7 likesCan you please specify how it changed your life?
5 likes@3 kilos Well it got me into electronic music in the first place, but importantly it changed the way I listen to music and my understanding of what music can be.
23 likesI listened to it on repeat non-stop on the plane, in the car, in my room.
4 likesSame.

0 likesHow is it possible i like virtually every track/album IM has made? True love!
16 likesReplies (1)
Makes no sense. Im pretty picky with my electronic music more of a metal fan but every IM song is undeniable
2 likeslove Infected, seen them live 2002 fucking awesome !
11 likesbut got to say personaly BP Empire, The Gathering, Classical are Goa/Psytrance master pieces.
then they changed their style a lot to something more "comercial" maybe to reach a larger audience, we can't blame them ($) ...
now their trance if we can call it that has too much of EDM influence even think it's more EDM than anything else, not that I dislike but it's kind of understandable when some fans feel disappointed, but hey things change, people change
to people who say they didnt changed just listen the old albums , they produced old school Goa/Psy Trance tracks with bad ass scyfy movie quotes samples, dark and deep stuff (that's what I like about Astrix and some others they keep doing the same old), then when Amit start singing at their tracks IM changed to comercial mode like it or not
(btw personaly think Erez is the "brain" of IM, such a great talent to create music, following his music since Shiva Shidapu)

Very well said.
2 likesThe Gathering, Classical Mushroom, Converting Vegetarians, B.P.
1 likeOh wow. It has been a good 12-15 years since I last listened to this beautiful album. Amazing how this can still trigger the same state of mind as it could back then. Almost, but only almost, feel like going on one final journey with Psilocybe Semilanceata. But wow, the memories <3
8 likesi spent half my childhood listening to this album on my cd player in juvenile detention... saved me from insanity, by allowing me to escape those walls that were suffocating the flame in me. and they still do, in that fake freedom reality we live in.

0 likesThis album brings back memories.

The judge asked me if I was guilty, and I exclaimed, "None of This Is Real!".
I demanded they Release Me, but they tackled me and threw me in the Cities of the Future prison.

too Slowly. It's time to bring out the Artillery!" In just a Blink, we were free. They set off the
alarms and we hid in the bushes. A suspicious guard sneaked up to us. Thinking quickly, I shouted,
"Shakawkaw!". He muttered, "Oh, it's just a bird." We stole a yaht and set off in the Sea of
Mushrooms. We Riders Balleriumly survived on The Storm, but they never found us again, and that
is the Legend of the Black Shawarma.

+YuumChaak I dunno, I actually thought Converting Vegetarians II was a very good return to form for them. They're focusing on making good tracks again instead of just maximum loudness all the time and milking the dubstep trend for all it's worth...
11 likesPersonally I think Animatronica is one of the best tracks they've made in a long, long time.
exactly... new album is too loud, that dubstep influence might work for dubstep lovers... but listen again BP Empire... elegant, classy, balanced. They tell a story in each track, you can close your mind and trip very nice. I stay with old Infected albums. If I want dubstep, I go and listen other artists
5 likes+YuumChaak I don't think you understood what I meant...their new album is actually pretty subdued. When I said dubstep, I was referring to the two albums before that.
6 likesYou should listen to CVII all the way through at least once, it really picks up later on.
yeah, we all have mistakes during our roads...
1 like+YuumChaak I agree with you in the sense I prefer their older stuff. And it does feel a lot more mature than their newer albums. However I like the fact they have followed what they wanted to do and felt what was right for them instead of possibly becoming stagnant trying to recreate their old Psytrance sounds.
4 likesOh my god, stop fucking whining. Converting Vegetarians 2 is just like "The Other Side" on CV1. Their style hasn't even drastically changed. It's just continuing on the experimental fun stuff that everyone loved from Converting Vegetarians.
6 likesAs a huge infected mushroom fan, I personally like the way they introduce us to melodys, sounds and beats. It's true that their older material is far more elegant, unique and probably better. But they would always have completion and reinvention for themselves.
0 likesBtw, I too got some headaches and got here to cure. The moment the delayed beep entered I got fully electrified.
I never did listen the new things, they were obvious for the shit music they are making and this is why i never listened to the new things so i would not change my mind for them and i'm stucked with old school music honestly.. :D
1 likeWhat the hell are you talking about? Their new albums are brilliant. Army of Mushrooms was great and CV2 was a masterpiece. You are clearly no Infected Mushroom listener.
3 likesClearly not...The new music i didn't even wanted to listen because i consider music like way of life, music that is made from heart and emotions and not involving money...I can call it maybe underground music so you could understand me better
0 likesyeah i find listening to it all the way through is the best way for CVII. I didn't like it until I did that. Army of mushrooms has some mediocre dubsteppy tracks but black shawarma is really good IMO and that's what CVII reminds me most of
0 likesthanks yuumchak...you got my point
0 likesThey have change their style a bit..
0 likesyet, they are the best ever.
isn't it? how can you go from this beauty involving real instruments and nature sounds to DANGA DUNGA
0 likes@Deplorable Michael
0 likesarmy of mushrooms is pretty good, CVII has it's moments as well, IMO though everything since vicious delicious has been a little bit sub par.
1 likeIM used to be my all time favorite artist and then when the likes of Army of Mushrooms and the Legend of the Black Shwarma came out I couldn't believe what I was hearing, utter trash.
yeah, new infected sucks so bad it hurts my soul, I'm the supervisor was last epic album, vicious delicious is good but after that ... pure garbage :E the old and new are like day and night. I'm happy I saw infected three times live on the old days, now I'm wondering do I even want to go to concert because I don't want to listen to the new crap :| How can something fall from so high to so deep in the abyss :/
1 like@SissiSaatana
0 likesI still think their new shit is good, but it got too over produced, the essence is lost....vicious delicious was realllllllyyyy fucking dope and I honestly thought legend of the black shawarma had some good songs as well but deffs classical mushroom to I'm the supervisor era is the dankest of the dank (although heavyweight really is in their top 10 songs IMO)
return to the sace is like their old style ik much better
0 likesNo,it's not like their old style..but it rocks =]
0 likesi consider it old because they experimented with psychedelic rock fusion in 2007 vicious delicious
0 likesfrankly best jokes today is when duvdev say this is a psytrance track :D
0 likesDid the exact same thing.
0 likesmaybe it depend on the mushroom you eat before
1 likeYeah agree 100%. I actually feel like we should not give them the honour of listening to even their old albums. I would rather support other artists
1 likeNah, Pink Froid is my new Dancing with Kadafi; it's quite different from what they usually do, but it carries their style in a composition that is both calm and passionate.
0 likesPersonally, I just found CVII to be a bit boring, but it's literally the only Infected Mushroom album I don't love.

1 likeAKG K271 and my Headphone Amp ... no need for surround, AKG rules!! :D
0 likesanyway, the album is freakin insane. love it.
I get the best experience with this album with a pair of speakers and subs, not headphones. It's not so much that important that I have 125dB SPL capability as having it properly calibrated. This album's bass is epic :)
0 likesSoundMagic HP100. If you want to hear SUB bass and not just mid bass. They stay level wayyy down(I can hear 20hz) and are one of the best for $200. Via Headstreamer by HRT.
0 likesFrankly, I don't get those gamer headsets that claim SS.
@tony toy Google a test someone did with coat hangers and some pricey $1000 cables with claimed audiophile types. You may be surprised.
0 likes@tony toy Mate, electricity travels through conductive medium B in exactly the same wavelength as conductive but seriously more expensive medium A. What does that mean? Expensive cables are a gimmick.
0 likesBut yeah, gamers need to realise it's not the surround sound producing that awesome music, it's just better than average speakers and a decent bit rate to listen too(and codec...).
1 like@schlooonginator bass via headphones is sort of a gimmick too, because you can't feel it in your body, just hear it in your ears. a lot of whats good about bass is the physical aspect of the sound, which you can hear seeing IM live in a club but its hard to replicate at home :)
0 likesWell, look up brain frequencies, and then headphone frequency response, I don't care too much about feeling the sound, just what its doing with my brain
0 likes...Pressure waves vs pressurized chest cavity and you could say it's how the brain interprets an external audio input of a certain structure that;s important. Then the how of delivery also becomes important. Festival vs Personal music experiences.
0 likesvery true. then there's A at 440 and A at 432. 432 ones supposedly to sound as if its coming from within yourself, compared to outside yourself, and relates to the Fibonacci spiral of the inner ear. Playing around on my guitar with this is fun, Led zepplin sounds better in 432, metallica in 440. some songs it really doesn't sound right if in the wrong tuning regardless of the minute change
2 likesThe note to tune to the HZ. For instance, on a guitar the 5th string from the bottom is generally tuned to A. and most tuners will show you you're in tune at 440HZ, 432 is slightly flat. and some tuners have the setting to adjust for this, but watching the HZ your producing is obviously much more precise

Hell yeah brother!
1 likeAs only a passive fan of psy trance I really think their best album is Army of Mushrooms, best thing they've done since Classical Mushroom. There's only so far one genre can take a force as creative as these guys. Delighted to see they're breaking out finally. I can see how it irks the older IM heads but "selling out" is kind of a shrill, hysterical accusation to make... RE: This album, couple of good tracks, whole lot of meh...
0 likesWho the fuck gave this a thumbs down?
0 likesSatani 555
0 likesThere was once a comment of mine here bitching about how IM had betrayed their sound and that their new music marked the death of the bands trance days. Cheers.
