Bagpipe Brony vs Eurobeat Brony - Discord

The organ part in the first minute reminds me of J.S. Bach's Toccata and Fugue in D-minor. Was it an inspiration for the intro of this song? :)

I love how equally amazing, yet somehow refreshingly different all three version are. Also, I would like to point out that you just bumped Mic down a place in my list of favorite brony musicians.

I am honestly surprised that people are arguing over which is better. As someone that has been in music for 8 years, I can honestly say you have done a great job with your remix. The many instruments give it a feel different that the original and the Living Tombstone's mix. I love the Eurobeat verison because I am a fan of fast songs like they made it, but yours, in my opinion is a bit more complex and it makes the song enjoyable as well. Great work! ^w^~

This is really a nice cover of Discord. i love yours for the musical subtlety in the harmonization of instruments, this version gives more of an impressive aspect to what Discord is, The badass fellah you DO NOT want to mess with while Tombstone's version is more of a pony's perspective to Discord's magic and nature while keeping a rhythm that can be used in a party. great job, yours definetly puts Discord in a "Last level Boss" aspect. loved it.

This is the first song to give me goosebumps, which for me, means there is a lot of hidden emotion in it. I really feel for this song, and I think it is truly one of the greatest I have ever heard!

I think together they are impressive. The sound is a whole different kind of deal together the apart. They should make more songs together, even if it is just both of them playing each others songs together etc.

I've been binging on versions of the Discord song since someone showed it to me on a Homestuck video. This has to be my absolute favorite. The added orchestra makes it. Expanding on what mushimushizftw said before (about wub dubs and all that), they're unfortunately right. While this finished product was EXTREMELY good, upping the bass a bit wouldn't have hurt the track.

I heard TheLivingTombstone's remix before yours, liked it a lot, tossed it in a playlist, went down the sidebar chucking other songs in there and this one was one of them. I've found that I enjoy yours much better and the more I listen the more I like it. It has such an epic feel to it! It's hard to choose, this one is really cool, it has great music and amazing vocals, but the other had more of a beat and this kind of left me feeling a bit empty in the begging. But, all together I think they are both amazing works.

I like this and tombstones version. I'll listen to both depending on the mood. Tomb's for more upbeat and pump, and this for more relaxing but fun :D Kudos to both musicians in making two great works, least we can all agree on that!!

The only thing I can think of that I prefer about EBB's original is that it seems like the lyrics have WAY more reverb in this version, and it makes it pretty hard to understand them. Other than that, love the touches of string and brass. Good work! ^^

TLT does branch out. Most of his songs style still remain within the same bouncy electronic style, but I think he has still done a good amount of "branching" out. Good Girl, Magic, Cracks, Good Old Days, September, ect. I'm not saying Bagpipe doesn't have good music either. I like a lot of BPB's music, but I'm just saying Tombstone's work also has some merit.

Eurobeat Brony is the alias he uses for his pony tunes. He also goes by: Mortimer, Ken Blast, T.Stebbins, Roy Dynamo, and Odyssey. I think each one of for a specific style or if he was in a collaboration. But yes, he is the original artist for "Discord" the most popular Brony song.

The instrumental for this makes me think of Discord as the final boss in some sort of epic Final Fantasy style RPG. Very good work.

While it doesn't exert the same amount of energy as the original and the lyrics seem a bit too fast for an orchestra piece, this still works rather well. The thing I think saves this is the techno beat in the back. Also, thanks for making the dubstep part awesome.

I love "Vs" remixes, though they aren't really VS at all, it's just a mix of two REALLY good remixes. Combined in a way that makes it sound like a challenge, but then mixes them together in a really good way.

Well I wrote this with the same structure and tempo Travis used. So yes, both songs have a lengthy intro to build anticipation for the song's "riff."

Now, I just played your version, with another window playing Eurobeat Brony's original with the two synced to the second. I personally think the combination of both versions playing on top of each other is superior to either one individually.

Yes it did indeed. Quieter(Or at least less Prominent) than in this version, but definitely there. Tobstone cut that bit though, which annoyed me. It's the Setup to the song. It sets the mood

I enjoy this more the Living Tombstone for one reason: Atmosphere. I will admit, Tombstone's song was awesome, but you'res really captures what the song is about. It's about someone who's controlling everyone and destroying harmony. You got the real chaos in the violin, and I couldn't stop myself if I tried from imagining the situation. Tombstone just couldn't do that with me. Great job man!

Honestly, this is pretty cool. I love this, how it adds more evil to Discord, whereas Eurobeat has a pop kinda beat, and its more jumpy and more fun to sing. The original is quite interesting, too. I like them all! I bet most of you agree that Eurobeat is better, judging by the other comments. ^^ But it really dont matter to me, brony music is brony music and it's 20% cooler than normal music. ;)

i agree, i sort of have the same mindset as you myself. id say, though, perhaps be a little more like discord? like find a way to trap them in their own words and have them dance around the little traps you place around them. doesn't have to be anything big, just enough to get them to slip up a bit.

In my opinion, fast-pased songs are better. I don't know why I like those types of songs but if they have a type of action feel to them, it really does strike me as a good song but that all depends on the first impression. If you want to see what i'm getting at, look up Owen was Her and see if you can make that happen. Otherwise, i'm leaning twords tombstone.

I just noticed discord's Expression. That is one of the most salacious Expressions I have seen in a while. The Pony (Bagpipe Brony? Adult Male Hipp(y/ster) Scootaloo?) Is Not Turning Discord down Flatly either. Unlike Tomb's Remix, where Tomb's expression is saying He's Offended that and Discord Should feel bad and he's going to cry in a corner for a while because he feels so confused about these new feelings bubbling up for this Stange Pony/snake/goat/whatever.

I will respectfully disagree with you. Both Odyssey's and mine are written with much more detail and thought behind them. Not to bash Yoav, but his is a simple arrangement with sped up vocals.

I dunno. I love Tombstone as much as the next guy, but his Discord remix wasn't really all that. It just felt bland and repetitive, almost lazy. And it certainly didn't have that chaotic feel that all Discord music should have.
