This cover is amazing, you two really did an outstanding job on this guys i mean the piano score is just beautiful and i especially love the story behind this cover!!!
This is great. Tickles a whole new aspect out of that classic. I have a hard time imagining how you can't hear that this is a pony song due to the squeaky original instrumentation, unless your friend only saw the notation. :)
Thank you so much! He only had the scores when he played it. Of course he heard the original before recording to get the feeling of it. But it started with a "play this and make a guess what it is please" First thought was that it was some kind of film/movie score. And, well in a way it is.
Awwww the story behind this cover is so amazing and it blew me away when I read that you actually "converted" him and made him potentially join the herd!! That's amazing, that kind of brony stories are so special and important, I always value them so much, loving the brony spirit and it's reminding me of similar stories I heard in my early brony days <3 <3 <3 Your friend did wonderful with the piano performance and I'm so glad that this could happen and that you could have your moment "This was actually from MLP" haha! So happy that he's open-minded towards it too. Let's see where that will take him :) We sure would welcome him with open hooves <3 If you see him again feel free to foward him my praise for his performance!
Yes that was a moment of surprise. I had nooo idea of that comming up like that. It's not every day I talk about ponies and such things with friends that's not into MLP. Not everyone can understand, so I'm careful about talking about it. Of course I will see him very soon again. The truth is that he enjoyed the MLP so much that he is one of us now (I think that at least). I'm so happy and also a bit surprised that he was so open minded and wanted to actually watch the first episodes. The happy news is that he agreed or more wanted, to join me on this channel and pull together with music. We can do a lot better music togheter. I can't read scores, but Aleksey is a classicaly trained pianist, so I can't just imagine how much material we can come up with in the future. I will continue with some of my solo work too, but I hope we can do the more serious music together.
