I love this song! 💕 I feel like I can relate it it personally because I have bpd so I'm constantly worrying about what other people think about me. If someone goes quiet on me I think I have done something wrong, they hate me and they're going to abandon me forever and I feel so much self hatred for doing whatever I did to hurt them. This song hits the nail on the head explaining these feelings.
I feel strongly that Cool Girl and Hate Myself are two of the most 'you' songs you've written. no reference at all to the lyrics (i like them too) but the melodies of both are fucking mesmerising and feel to me like how your presence is in vlog things or chatty videos. It feels like you're being your raw, unauthentic self. Asides from that they are very artistic and emotional - objectively.

It's a wonderful song and you have amazing talent to say the least. And while I am certain that you had a little fun and acted silly during the making as you say, I do not believe it to be a silly song by no means so I can understand why you were so stoked with your project. The one about anxiety underlying the silence is fairly accurate as a generality but might be a bit of an understatement for many so I will not venture into that thought domain with perceptions whether they be solicited or not. i relate to this song so much, and your explanation resonates so much with me. for me i always expect people to have some kind of inner turmoil, and that if i just keep digging i’ll eventually find it. but what i’ve realized is that sometimes people are okay, and sometimes they don’t talk about everything, and that’s hard for me to accept because i talk a lot and always have some kind of emotions i’m figuring out whether good or bad. so when they don’t talk or go silent i feel like they don’t trust me or we aren’t close enough. but then i push people too much and scare them away trying to pry..
