It's an interesting sound you present, because it's melody is how we often hear the middle east portrayed. There's also a devious nature to it, mysterious in a creepy way. While Zakura is portrayed in that manner at the beginning of her introduction episode, I feel that she is very earthy and has less of a wavering, snake like tone. I would recommend
Great sound and instrumentation, love your beats, though I think the thing it struggles with most is the melody. About 1:56 the melody was way more catchy and fit better. No complaints after that at all.
Felt very Egyptian as opposed to Savanna-African though.
The eyeball frog you have in supply will make some drops to bring sight to sore eyes. However, this potion is best used right now, for it shall soon perish if you just stand around.
lol i love your music... i play Audiosurf to your songs and by far this is one of the hardest. sometine around 1:50 i pick up so much speed that i fail.
@EdenandDeon
...looking into more vocal and earthy sounds. such as Didaadi "Love chant" from Africa, or as a slightly more westernized reference the chants from the Lion King musical, even Nahawa Doumbia's Didadi Kana. You can type these titles in and find them on Youtube. Of course, this is just my opinion, and I'm only going off the fact that she's a Zebra. You did a very good job with the music though, it sounds nice!
@psychgoth Aww.. sad, I looove nightwish. If you haven't heard any Nightwish you should check them out. Dark Chest of Wonders is the song that got me hooked on them and then End of All Hope. (There is a pony music video of End of All Hope). Btw, didn't know if you got my messages before. But if you at least read the most recent one, it has a link to a really good lyricist if you haven't already found one.
@psychgoth 258 view in a day without being posted on EQD. and I have heard other bronies mention your work here and there... usually after I spend an hour linking them to all of your work.
Btw your my favorite 'pony' musician!
@F1NJP Excuse me while I train a Wonderbolt at the Aviary (Food: 120, Gold: 10) and research Cupcakes at the Bakery (+10 Earth Pony hit points, Food: 140, Gold 150). If you think about trying to attack now, I can easily train a Zecora at the Temple (Food: 20, Gold: 60)
@makkon06 Yeah it does sound that way, I used this particular scale to sound mysterious as opposed to straight up African. Besides Egypt is in Africa :p
@psychgoth: Where did *you* search? "not credited anywhere"? Are you kidding me? She may not be credited on-screen in the show, but if you go to mlp.wikia.com and look up "Zecora", it's right there. Andrea Libman said her name in a Tweet recently, and that's where we got it. She's also credited on IMDb. Brenda is name #0187764 (/name/nm0187764/), and Zecora is character #0268334 (/character/ch0268334/).
I know what you're getting at, but what I think is this sounds more Egyptian than say, South African. Egypt may be in Africa, but zebra still don't live there, y'know? It's a good song all the same, but not necessarily accurate.

1 likeFirst beat and I'm in love. They really need to have a Zecora song this season...
1 likeI love it!!! The melody fits very well with the pipe and gives a strong Turkish tone to the track.
2 likesI love all your music mate! Your fianlly starting to become famous within the brony community! Good work Psychogoth!
1 likeZecora needs more screen time...better yet an episode to herself
1 likeVery well done, the intro reminded me of Arabesque by Nightwish.
1 likeman id love to see the zebra homeland depicted in the show or something :)
1 likeThis makes me think of a potential Zecora-centric episode; say she visits her homeland, and the Mane 6 end up tagging along?
1 likeVery Good and it sounds so cultural to me. Nice!

3 likes@Madevil8 I'm glad I'm not the only brony who is a fan of German medieval music. c: I'd love to play that song on bagpipes.
0 likesIt sounds more Arabian than Egyptian, but the drums defiantly give it a tribal feel...and then the Scottish bagpipes...
